Story
From shelter: Teo is precious!! He’s SOOO chill for only being 8 months old. I was obsessed with his stumpy tail. He leashed really well and was so easy to take out in the run. He looked super handsome in a bandana Teo loved meeting another dog through the run, but was a lot more shy during his temp test. A super friendly and cute guy!  Teo was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. Dogs adopted with our rescue come with FREE training from #GoodPup to help you build strong bonds from the start! If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs.  Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive.  From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs. Thus, dog breed is generally a poor predictor of individual behavior and should not be used to inform decisions relating to selection of a pet dog" - https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abk0639 ##2318692##

Story
Eggs is a 6 month old Low Rider Mix who is one happy guy! He is playful, smart, goofy and intelligent. He loves other dogs, people, and a tad over excited about cats. He has a voice so apartment’s will not be his thing! The best fit for Eggs is a home with a yard, older kids, and an adventurous family/person. He also would love a playful mate but be fine as a single dude with activity. Eggs is a catch!     March 25, 2025, 9:03 am

Story
Hello, it breaks my heart to re-home Kirby. He is a good dog, loving and sociable and loves belly rubs and attention. Lots of attention. Kirby is a purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi and is not fixed. He was purchased from a responsible breeder in UT and has been in my care since. Kirby is 3.5 years old and loves to play in the snow! He likes to make snow angels, or corgi angels! he's very funny, very smart, and very easy to train. He knows how to sit, lay down, bedtime (he goes to his crate), dinner time, stay, nose (this command has him look you in the eyes), and loves to learn more! He is highly motivated by praise, and treats and will work hard for both. Overall, Kirby will make a great addition to your home and I'm happy to negotiate the adoption fee, if you're reading this is I'm willing to re-home Kirby for $2000 to a good family. I just want to make sure Kirby finds a good, loving home, with a long-term family who can provide stability and comfort. Reach out if interested.
