Ginger has been here for over a year. When she came in she was terrified of men due to obvious abuse. We have worked with her for some time and she is much better with men. It just takes her longer to trust men, of course, but once she does she is absolutely no problem. She is fearful of walking on the streets, as she likely kept locked up in a back yard all the time. She has turned into a wonderful and sweet dog after overcoming the abuse she previously suffered. She has amazing soulful eyes and is very happy and extremely affectionate. She will melt you heart. Hi I'm Miss toad the wet sprocket! So nice to meet you! I'm a delightful 10 year old 26 lb gal looking for a forever best friend! I was very neglected by my previous person who was, sadly, unhoused and not mentally well. The rescue humans saw me at the shelter and scooped me up. I am looking and feeling so much better now I am good with dogs but can easily fly solo. No cats for me. Sorry cats. I can't wait to meet you *please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. Liam came in as a stray at the San Pedro Harbor Shelter on 5/22. He was not claimed and only myself showed up on 5/30 at 11am when he became avl for adoption. He has seen a vet on 6/7 and has another appmt on 6/17. He needs a dental as he has peridontial disease and also had serious flea allergies. He is on ointment for his ears to clear up yeast infection and anttibiotic to help clear up the skin dermatitis which is already improved. He will not be avl for adoption until late Sept. when the vet can do a dental but you can meet in prior to that and complete a pre adopt ap. He is sweet natured and good with my small senior dogs. He will need some obedienc training as he pulls on a leash but he is crate trained and thusly being housetrained. He rides well in a car and takes treats gently in his mouth. He is a blue merle tricolor Pembroke. He was crossing an intersection in San Pedro when a good sam young lady rescued him and brought him into the San Pedro Harbor Shlter. He had no chip or ID and was not netuered and had the teeth and skin dermatitis issues shared in this narrative. Again he won't be avl until late Sept.

Meet Happy💜 Happy lived neglected within a fenced area of junkyard. The person who reported Happy to us was feeding Happy for a year and when the junkyard went bankrupt, the owner left and abandoned Happy. Please be Happy’s miracle and become his forever family. 🙏🏻 * He has a Jindo face with short legs just like a corgi. He is adorable and sunny. 🥰 * He's wary at first, but once he opens up, he is sweet and asks for pets. 😊 * Not very interested in the other dog friends at ADOGS Center! He only takes his own treats and doesn’t pay much attention to other dogs. He does well all around! * He has a good appetite and eats very fast. He needs help with eating slowly because he might choke and cough when he eats too fast. * He does not bark when other dogs bark 👍🏻
