Story
Queen Elizabeth was found behind AALOC, cowering under a car, afraid to come out. Luckily the AALOC team is amazingly skilled at gaining the trust of frightened animals and was able to convince Queen Elizabeth to allow them to help her. Multiple attempts were made to find her previous owners but no one claimed her, so Queen Elizabeth Is ready to start a new life with a new family. We believe Queen Elizabeth is a very young corgi mix. She was in foster care recently after being spayed and her foster called Queen Elizabeth “a real character” and “a lot of fun.” They said she likes to play with squeeky toys and will run after them when they are tossed. She’s a good walker and gets along with other small dogs. The photo of two dogs is Queen Elizabeth playing with Isabelle, her bestie at AALOC. She is both potty pad and crate trained. Please complete an application to adopt Queen Elizabeth at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved, we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet ‘Queen E’ and get to know her a bit. Adoption donation of $165 per dog includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on our adoption policies visit our website at www.AALOC.org or contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org.

Story
Hope & Faith are littermates and were born in a park under a bush in Spring 2012. They have never been apart and must be adopted together. Hope is shy, while Faith is very outgoing. They were raised in a home with 2 boys, and had multiple pet siblings over the years (I used to do rescue work myself). I am disabled, so while they do love to go for walks, they do not need them daily. They are trained to use a doggy door to go outside for potties, are current on all shots, flea prevention, and microchipped. They will “ask” before hopping up on the sofa or a bed. They are the best girls!! Faith looooves belly rubs. My landlord decided to sell our home, and despite looking for 3 months, I could not find any place that allowed pets. Hope & Faith are currently being fostered by my ex-husband who warns me constantly that he wants them gone ASAP. Please consider giving these girls a loving home for their golden years, or buy me a house so I can! (Haha, that is a joke, sort of.)

Story
How this pet arrived: Gordo was brought in by his previous owner on October 6, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Gordo, a young pup with the most adorable short legs and the biggest heart! This shy guy is on a mission to find his perfect home. Gordo loves other dogs and is required to have a social dog in the home to show him the ropes. Gordo has also coexisted well with a cat before, making him a good candidate for a multi-pet household. Gordo takes his time to warm up to new people and environments, so he'll thrive best in a low-traffic home without young children. Gordo's world will need to be kept small at first while he adjusts and becomes comfortable with his new surroundings. Patience will be key and the best way to ensure his success in his new home. Once he comes out of his shell, he'll share his playful personality and offer you loyal companionship. When Gordo builds trusts with someone, it's a strong bond - he gets so excited to see his favorite people! If you're interested in providing Gordo the loving home he deserves, come visit him at our Oceanside Campus today. Don't forget to bring the entire household to meet him!
