Story

Meet our precious Butterscotch. She is a Riverside Shelter survivor who was in danger of euthanasia due to having a seizure disorder. Butterscotch is a 1 year old Papillion/Corgi Mix and weighs about 12 lbs. She’s a sweet girl with a beautiful smile and a beautiful spirit. She’s resilient and strong. She currently lives in a foster home with other dogs and where someone is home 24/7. We are currently trying a new treatment for her seizures and are still trying to find the best approach to control them. Butterscotch has both grand mal seizures (seldomly) and focal seizures more frequently. Her forever family will need to be committed to her medicine regimen and also having patience with navigating her challenges. She will do best in a home with experienced dog owners who are patient and will also have the dedication to navigate through her challenges with her. She loves chew toys, she's very treat motivated, and she’s dog and cat friendly. She’s a happy girl with a beautiful spirit. She will bring her new family lots of love and joy. We are excited to help her find her new forever family. Her name is now Daisy She does have both eyes, the shelter thought she was missing one. But her other eye has cataracts we would like to save her eye if it can be saved. She's had her first bath, been to the vet, and loves to spend time in the yard. She has an ear infection and is on antibiotics. She will be going back to the vet for a follow-up. She is older than we were told and is a bit chunky. She's a great dog. Story

Karma is the most loyal and loving animal I have ever met. He loves people and kids, the more the better. Karma is from lombok , Indonesia. We found him and his sister as puppies and took them in. They lived a village dog lifestyle with us there for about 2 years, then when covid happened we tried to bring them back to the USA with us but sadly his sister didn't make it. Karma did, and he has been with us in California ever since. He does enjoy the company of other dogs and gets along well with my brother's pug, however he needs to assert himself as the boss, so it would be good to take care when introducing him to other dogs . Karma must be outside or at least have a way to go outside if he needs, he will never poop or pee inside the house. He doesn't like to be isolated indoors by himself and gets severe isolation anxiety. He needs a family with a good sized fenced yard or a farm. He enjoys lazing about and getting belly rubs, he is the best companion anyone could ask for.

Say hello to Riggs! Riggs is a 10 year old purebred corgi. Riggs is an independent dog that prefers playing fetch than being pet or cuddled. He is more of a lone wolf because he prefers to be on his own than with other animals. While he is able to coexist with other dogs and cats he will keep his distance from them. We are broken hearted that we have to re-home Riggs. Unfortunately, he does not do well with young children. Riggs has been wonderful about keeping his distance and not getting into the space of our new baby, but unfortunately now that the baby is mobile, there is no safe way to ensure the baby will not enter Riggs' space and Riggs has been know to nip out of fear. He does have some issues with resource guarding which is common with his breed. Riggs would really do well in a quiet home with a male or a couple and anyone that is high energy and good at keeping structure for Riggs. He currently lives with 3 cats! COH Bemo is a 8 month old neutered male Corgi Mix who was found abandoned in the City of Hawthorne. He is eager to learn new tricks and thrives on attention and affection. Bemo is great with kids and other dogs, making him a good match for any family. His loving playful personality will bring a lot of joy into your home. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Salsa is a precious 4 year old, female corgi mix who is about 15 lbs. Our partner in South Korea found her living in dangerous conditions, chained up with her father and siblings. For months we've been begging their "owner" to surrender them, visiting daily to ensure they have food & water. Finally he agreed! Salsa is currently heartworm positive getting his treatment. We anticipate her being healthy enough to board her freedom flight sometime in the end of October! We need a committed foster or adopter to get Salsa on her freedom flight! Will she land with you?
