Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Murray's Story
-Written by Murray, a 20-week-old, 40lb, male mix. Some potential guesses are Aussie Doodle, or maybe even a Catahoula/Poodle mix. Some even think Irish Wolfhound mix, I am not sure I am big enough for that but with me, it is the guessing game...so who really knows! ;)

I remember the days when I was all alone in this world. Given my age, I know it is hard to believe that. There was a time though when it was just me and this big wide world. I didn't have a name, I didn't have a family. I was a scavenger. I was just a pup trying to survive on the streets. How I got there...I couldn't tell you. All I know is that once I was on the streets, survivor mode kicked in. I had to find my own food. I had to avoid cars and predators. I have to find water. I had to take chances. It certainly wasn't how I ever saw my life going, but when things come your way...you have to find a way to adjust. So, that is what I did. And I survived.
Having street smarts is a must when you are on your own, and I had learned a lot but I didn't know everything. I was checking something out when I was scooped up. I was really nervous and scared. It had been a bit since I had a human touch, and had no idea what this stranger wanted. After a short car ride later, I ended up at the animal shelter. I know I should have been scared given that there were so many dogs pleading to get out, but I was actually thankful. I had shelter, food, and water. Along with that, everyone who saw me thought I would get adopted quickly. They figured I would get reclaimed, and if not adopted. I already knew that no one was coming for me, I had no family. Of that I was sure. I was curious about being adopted though. I cannot say that I have ever truly had a family before. Two weeks went by and no one came for me. This rescue had been keeping their eye on me though, and when I wasn't adopted and a foster family stepped up for me, they welcomed me to their fluffy butt family! <3
I never knew how amazing having a family could be! I love that I am included in their activities, and get to be inside with them. I had never felt like I belonged in the past, so this was a new and very welcoming feeling. I am active and playful but I am also calm and laid-back. I will play my heart out and will play with toys, play with the other dog, play in the water bowl, and sometimes will even play fetch! Once I have worn myself out, I will cuddle with my foster mom and then pass out.
I have been out on a long walk with my foster mom and did well. While young, I do pick up on the mood of other dogs and will react accordingly. As long as they are friendly and nice so am I, but if I feel negative energy coming from them I will react to that. I have loved getting to meet new people on walks, and am friendly toward them. I do try to jump in greeting but my foster mom is working with me on it. As it turns out, not everyone appreciates being jumped on...who would've thought?! Given my energy level, I cannot see myself in an apartment. I really love having a yard to run and play in.
I am good with other dogs and love to play with them. However, I am not the best at picking up on doggie cues. Sometimes I can be a bit obnoxious around them and will try to steal treats and toys from the other dogs. I am working on my sharing skills, but because of this my new fur brother or sister needs to not take me too seriously. I am not currently being fostered around any cats. I have been around kids that are 8&5 and have done well with them. When people come over I will initially bark to alert my foster family, but am excited to say hi once they come inside.
I am working on my potty training but am not quite there yet. My foster mom confines me to a certain room when she is gone and I do well. Because of this, I have no experience being kenneled as it has not been necessary. At night, I like to sleep in bed with my foster mom. While young, I have not chewed on anything that I shouldn't. I really like chewing on horn and hoove toys and they tend to keep me pretty busy.
I know that I am a really cute pup but I ask that anyone applying for me be 100% sure. And I am not talking about just now. I mean they be ready to take me with them when they move, keep me even though they are having a baby, keep me through job changes, etc. If you are going to adopt me, don't make me have to be passed around later in life. Once you adopt me you will become my family and my people, and I don't want to ever have to say goodbye!
If you are interested in offering me forever, you can apply to adopt me at
https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
Once this app comes in, it will be sent on to my foster family. This is to help ensure that not only am I a good fit for you but that you are also a good fit for me! ❤
I am currently residing in Tulsa OK. If you have fallen in love with me and are out of state, how about a road trip? I won't go on a long transport, so the only way I am relocating to another state...is if we are in that car together 😉
My adoption fee is $300.
That will include two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

EPILOGUE
-Below is an excerpt from Murray's foster family.
"Murray is the cutest thing. He’s sweet and fun and playful and quite well behaved for a puppy. and SO DANG CUTE! His eyes make me melt and he truly just wants to be a humans best friend... and in the front seat. And he LOVES peanut butter! The non-shedding is so great. He steals the kids’ stuffies but has never chewed one - he’s just playful. Good guard dog but not over the top. Doesn’t try to escape. Oh and he loves to eat anything, especially dead worms, that’s in his path on the sidewalk during walks LOL. He’s goofy and you can’t help but fall in love with him."
