Story
Hey there, I'm Kenny! I've got a secret - I'm not just a cat, I'm a superhero. My powers? Making humans smile with my playful antics and gentle purrs. I ended up here in the shelter after a daring rescue mission. I saved my best friend Flossie from a tall tree, but we got lost on our way back. We're a dynamic duo, always curious and ready for adventure. We're smart too, and we've figured out how to get extra treats! We're brave, energetic, and always up for a game. We'll follow you around, keeping you company and making you laugh with our goofy ways. We're also experts at cuddling, our purrs are the best lullaby. Adopt us, and we'll fill your home with love, laughter, and lots of purrs. We'll be your superheroes, saving your day with our sweetness and charm. Bonded with Flossie From Kuwait If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Hi, my name is Bentley and I traveled all the way from the Virgin Islands with my wonderful brother, Bandit.  We are a bonded pair of orange males that like to play together, sleep together and share human laps together.  I'm not as adventurous as my brother Bentley is, but that’s just because I'm taking my time getting over jet lag. I'll be catching up soon. The Virgin Island shelter called my brother Bandit because he had to have an eye removed. Don’t worry, he doesn't mind at all and our foster Mom says it doesn’t stop him from doing any cat-like antics.  Both of us like to carry play mice around and bat balls all over the place. We even hide our toys in our bed so our foster Mom gets us new ones.  We both like chin scratches and will purr forever when you pet us. We will be your best friends. Come take us to your home. You will be so glad you did.   Copy paste this into a new window to see more! https://www.tiktok.com/@fancycatsrescue/video/7385689644337351966Adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchip.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
Aurora is a lovely, chatty female kitty from Kuwait. She was rescued on the streets at 4 weeks old after being bitten by an adult street cat. She recovered beautifully and loves to play with balls and to climb. She is easily held and will rub her head against you. She also enjoys following you around for attention and cuddling up in the evening. Aurora is playful and active and can often be seen running around after a ball or climbing the cat tree. She would be fine on her own or with a companion after an introduction. Story
Indiana is a big cat with an equally big personality. He is vocal and will say hello to all visitors upon entry. He is eager to be part of all the activities and is active in his playing. He adores other cats and needs no time to make new friends. He is ready for his forever home and welcome you with open paws. The most unique feature about Indiana is his eyes which are a mixture of blue and green. Eats wet and dry food and is not a particular fussy eater.   Humphrey is a lively and chatty cat. He is bonded with several cats in the rescue and enjoys the company of both cats and humans. He likes to play with his toys and will seek human affection on his terms. He is quite talkative when he wants your attention. He is a sweet boy that would love his forever home. Eats both wet and dry food and is not a particularly fussy eater.   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
We found this sweet and affectionate cat on the streets and believe he was abandoned. He’s between 2-4 and has received his vaccines and up to date bloodwork. He’s very friendly, not very vocal, and loves to cuddle in laps. We would love to keep him but he would do better in home as a single cat as our two cats have been stressing him out.

Story
Male, Siamese Cream Sweet Dobby is new to the rescue and we can't wait to find out more about him! If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adoptable-cats.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific vetting: Rabies, FVRCP. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a FELV/FIV negative mother in foster care. Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. Kittens born in care to a negative mother will not receive a FIV/FeLV test. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.
