My name is Vinnie and I’m 70 pounds of pure love. I love snuggling my foster parents and mom says I’m a bed hog, whatever that is! My favorite activity is going for car rides; I'm an excellent co-pilot and give great directions to the treat store. Since I'm only 4 yrs old, I would love someone who would commit to continuing with my training. I'm an A+ student but since I get very excited around other dogs, I would prefer to be the only dog in the house and have all the lovin's for myself. I know sit, ask to go out for potties, and am working on my leash manners, but I am still fresh out of the shelter, so this is all new to me. My foster mom says it's probably best if I don't live with kiddos under the age of 12 or kitties because I don't know my own size. I dont get it, 70lbs is a perfect size lap dog! Most importantly, I need a forever family to hold my big, squishy face and get lots of kisses. I sure hope I can find you guys soon. XOXO Vinnie

Beans spent five days living on the streets before a kind rescuer picked him up, and now he’s ready for his forever home. We’re not quite sure what his mix is, but the vet thinks he’s some kind of Bulldog/ Shih Tzu. At 42 pounds, Beans is definitely more of a teapot than a teacup Shih Tzu! He’s ready to bring the love and laughter, all he needs is a chance! FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

What an adorable little firecracker !! FULL of personality and afraid of nothing! She is confident, curious, LOVES the water and her baby pool. Often times she's the only one willing to get in. OOFIE lives to be with other dogs and especially adores her humans. She is literally always happy! You cannot rain on her parade! She is kennel trained and almost house trained! She is a joy to have as part of our foster family. LAMAREY is with me in my home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted , she will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family. Once an application has been submitted and approved , I would be happy to speak with you and tell you all of the wonderful things about her ! You will find our volunteer team to be very responsive so please refrain from submitting an application until you are ready to welcome a new forever family member. Transport runs each weekend, leaving Memphis Tennessee Friday morning around 6 AM at which time they start a group chat with the two drivers and all the adopters who have a A Pet on board.
