Story
Biggie is approximately 3 years old, he is a sweet boy with lots of energy. He is very strong so although he is not aggressive he is not a good fit for families with small children or babies. Biggie needs a fenced in yard where he can run around when you are not home. Biggie goes potty outside. He is very lovable and needs lots of attention, so if you are home a lot he may be the right pup for you!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  There is information you need to know about this dog before applying for adoption so please read his entire profile on our website www.collarofhope.org  BENTLY WOULD DO BEST AS AN ONLY PET.  HE NEEDS A SPECIAL DIET.   Bently came from a local shelter but we did get a lot of info on his past.  He was with his Mom but she passed away.  During that time, he did escape once and a dark-skinned man beat him unmercifully, even dislocating his shoulder, so understandably, he doesn't do well with darker skinned people now.  After his Mom passed, family took him in.  Observing some things at the shelter, they contacted the family with questions and they admitted that they and the kids teased him horribly with toys and food as well as hit him.  He was super hand shy when we got him and would cower when you went to pet and love on him.  He soon realized that it was nothing but kindness for him now.  Eventually, we saw his resource guarding from being teased and tormented when he tried to take a young dogs treat (the pup was crated with food, a bully stick and toys).  This can take some concerted effort to turn around in the right hands. Without these things around, he's a very friendly and loving boy even playing well and hanging out with some of the other dogs we've had him with.  It's probably best if he's the only dog in the home so there is no chance for altercation over food, treats or toys.   He's only 2 years old and has had a pretty crappy life so it's our goal to insure he's placed in the right home, so he's well loved, taken care of and happy for the rest of his life!   He is also allergic to both chicken and beef as well as grains (which no dogs should be fed).  It's easy to find single protein foods for him.  He's currently doing well on the Natures Domain Turkey from Costco.   If you think you can give this gorgeous boy a wonderful life and home, please submit our adoption application to get the process started!      Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 4:36 pm

Story
Daisy Hope came to rescue March 2024 after surviving three gunshots to the face and shoulder. She was taken in by a local shelter, then came to Lily's Pad Rescue to recover from multiple surgeries to save her life. She is being loved on by her foster family. This sweet girl would love a fun home who can continue to be patient with her as she continues to learn trust. She is still working on the housetraining, but is coming along. She loves to play fetch and is even learning basic commands like sit and lay. She is playful with other dogs but only cares for dogs her size and bigger. 🦄 No small animals including small dogs. She doesn't like them. 🦄 No small children. Kids 9 and older OK. 🦄 Meet and greet with your dogs required. Only dogs her size and bigger.

Story
Tommy is a playful young English Bulldog with Spina Bifida. He wears a cutie diaper due to being incontinent but don't let this scare you! He is very good at the routine and we will help you learn the process if you're not already familiar. Tommy would love a family to enjoy adventures with, and is also happy to be a couch potato during down times. Tommy is constantly love seeking, asking for cuddles, kisses and pets! Tommy would do best with dogs who can handle a more rough and tumble play style, with a strong leader to help keep him focused on limits. He has a pretty rough play style, so he does better with bigger dogs. He tends to try to tug playmates by their harnesses. He can be redirected rather easily but this is just one of his bad habits that will need continued training and focus. Tommy does not love loud sounds and can be somewhat skittish with things like brooms, vacuums, and the like. We would love to chat with you more about what a great dog Tommy is! If you'd like to apply to adopt, please complete the application online at www.lilyspadrescue.org.

Story
She’s Sassy. Silly and Affectionate. Meet Chickpea - a small Fawn TriColored English Bulldog She was a breeder mama dog, protective and bossy. She’s done with boys dogs and dogs in general but is curious and will smell then try to dominate if allowed. She’d like a human to treat her like a princess and let her snore all day and give belly rubs, butt scratches. She is crate trained and follows routines well. She does not clue to when she needs to potty (likely a result of being an outdoor breeder dog). Due to her lack of house training and humping behavior - she would benefit from a breed experienced owner. She does not currently exhibit any allergies or medical needs. Compact size and now a healthy weight of 40 lbs. Vet guessed her to be just 3 years old, her teeth are white and no signs of aging. Heartworm treated and on prevention, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Hoping to be in her new home by the Holidays. Chickpea could be a city girl, live in a condo or apartment - go on leashed walks for exercise, sleep in a crate to stay out of trouble and enjoy patio time with humans OR live in a home with kids and a yard - her size and love of people make her a great family dog. Chickpea does jump up to give hugs since she's short and got little legs - she gives kisses.
