Winifred is a friendly 2 year old bulldog that can be very calm and relaxed but also still gets the zoomies too. Her foster has learned some things about her that she wants to share. When she first came into rescue we were told she was deaf, could have some vision concerns and didnt get along with other dogs. Well her foster has learned that she can have bulldog selective hearing, but responds really well to quiet stern guidance. As for vision she can see most things and gets around well, but sometimes gets startled if she doesnt see you coming or expect someone to touch her. As for not getting along with other dogs, she likes all her dog friends that are easy going, laid back and dont get in her face. She tends to back off and not want to walk near dogs that are hyper, pushy, or get in her face, this may be due to her vision issues. She would do fine with an older senior or another calm dog. Winifred walks very nicely on a leash and goes potty really well outside on leash, but wants to do her business and go back in quickly if its cold or raining out. She is not a big fan of crates and if stuck in one will tend to mentally shut down. She does much better in a closed off area like a laundry room or x-pen where she can have space until she knows the rules of the house or if she needs she needs to be contained for any reason. She absolutely loves car rides and is a fantastic copilot! She was made for life on the road, and loves it!

While he’s hearing impaired — meaning no noise will wake him when he’s snoozing (you’ll need to gently touch him) — it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Chicken Little was briefly adopted but had to be returned because the other dog in the home didn’t get along with him. He adored all the people in his previous home, including children, and even got along with cats. While curious about them, he didn’t chase, making him a great candidate for a home with feline friends. True to his nickname, this little "Button" loves to be close to people and will happily follow you wherever you go. When it's time to relax, he'll curl up next to you for some snuggle time. Button has a calm and gentle demeanor, making him a joy to be around. He plays softly with toys and is especially attached to his favorite ball. While he has some bursts of playful puppy energy, he's mostly a chill and laid-back companion. At the moment, Button is working on gaining weight-his ideal is around 40 lbs. He recently underwent colopexy surgery to address recurring rectal prolapses. His recovery is going well, and the procedure should help him lead a healthier life. Button's diet is still being fine-tuned to suit his gastrointestinal needs, but he's currently doing well on a mix of wet and dry food. Lifelong joint supplements will also be part of his routine to keep him comfortable and happy. Button is great in the car and is crate-trained, though it's not his favorite place to hang out. He may bark when he hears movement in the morning or if he needs to go potty, but his sweet personality far outweighs this small quirk.
