Story
Say hello to Archie! Archie is a 3-year-old English Bulldog who came to us an owner surrender as his owner was not able to care for him. Prior to coming to us, he lived much of his life in a crate where he was not well socialized or cared for. Archie has made huge strides since going into his foster home and we have found that he forms a deep and loving bond with his person, and we think he would do best in a home with one owner. He is looking for a confident, experienced owner who will spend time to help him reach his full potential. Archie is happy with other dogs, and would do fine with other dogs in the home but is best suited to a home without children and without a lot of foot traffic. He does well in a crate, and he is also house broken. Archie has quite the personality and loves to go for a ride in the car. In addition to car rides, he absolutely loves his toys and will entertain himself for hours on end. Archie is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to Sister! She is a 2-year-old, 50lb English bulldog who came to us from CA with her sister Dribble, in hopes of finding an amazing home here in WA! Sister is a very sweet girl, but also extremely shut down at the moment. She has had a rough past and is looking to leave that behind her but will need time to open up and learn to trust again. She is very loving with her person, but will need a patient adopter in a quiet home that will give her time to open up and gain confidence. Sister needs work on leash training and loves to remain in places that feel safe and cozy for now. She would also not do well in a home with cats. Sister is UTD on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $650.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Say hello to this big goofball, Louie! He is a 2-year-old, ~55 lb English Bulldog who came to us from as an owner surrender from CA after they could no longer care for him. Louie is an absolutely STUNNING bulldog in both looks and personality. He has a rich brown coloring with one white sock, and an adorable underbite. Louie is a total sweetheart that has gotten along great with any dogs and people he has met in our care. He has also done well around kids, however, he does not always recognize his size and will accidentally knock you over if you’re not careful. He is a very well natured boy though, and is looking for an amazing forever home that will love on him and give him a rich life full of experiences! Louie is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $700.

Story
Animal Profile:  Penny is a 18-month-old, 65 lb spayed female English Bulldog mix. She has a tight, clean coat and an adorable underbite. She has guardian-breed tendencies and will need a breed-savvy owner able to provide appropriate leadership. She is loyal to her family and loves to snuggle. She enjoys playing with other dogs but requires a human who can supervise and advocate for appropriate interactions or she is prone to bullying behavior. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and is crate-trained, house-trained, and has basic obedience training. She will benefit from structure, leadership, and ongoing training. Once acclimated in a home environment, she loves to snuggle and play and has a goofy, loving personality.  Adopter Profile:  Single family residence required Secure fenced yard preferred Large breed experience required Bully breed experience preferred Other balanced dogs, dog-savvy cats, and older children considered on case by case basis Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, flea/tick treatment, deworming, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Animal History:  Penny and her siblings were a surprise litter - their mother was adopted from a local family when she was unknowingly pregnant, so he got much more than he bargained for when she had puppies soon after her adoption. Penny was born on 12/09/22; one of the littermates was  DNA tested and so presumably all littermates are  75% English Bulldog, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Rhodesian Ridgeback. As puppies, these dogs were playful and engaging. Penny was adopted as a puppy to a family who was not prepared for the tendencies of this breed combination. Without any formal training, she developed territorial behaviors in the home and on walks that ultimately led the family to return her to the rescue. She has since been evaluated and fostered in a DGS foster home. She is currently available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.  November 6, 2024, 5:36 pm

Story
Please note that inquiries on this site are not monitored. To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit https://bulldoghavennw.org/apply/ Hi, my name is Emerald and I'm 47 lbs. of cuddly sweetness once I know I can trust you. I'm a 4-year-old EB mix and my foster mom calls me "sweet girl". I'm crate trained but would rather spend my time with my humans rather than be in my crate too often. I'm completely potty trained and haven't had an accident yet. However, if I get really stressed out, such as a trip to the doggy Dr, I stress poo and need to go RIGHT NOW, but you'll know I'm stressed before it happens!! I spent a lot of time in my crate in my last home, so I haven't been socialized and am learning how to interact with strangers and other animals. I also wasn't leash trained, but my foster mom got me a snazzy new harness and we go on walks every day. I am still very scared and reactive to all of the new sounds and people/animals in the world, so my foster mom has been teaching me how to "leave it and sit." When I get overwhelmed while we're out and about, this prompts me to sit down for a treat (she keeps a stash in her pocket) and this distracts me from what spooked me. I'm very sensitive to "stranger danger" and fear strangers, so I need slow introductions in a safe space, but the people I've met so far have won me over eventually (treats are a good icebreaker). However, I do get very protective of my home and human, so when someone comes to the door, I let them know I'm the great protector of this home. I have some skin issues that my foster mom is helping me with, but they won't stop me from becoming adoptable! I'm very good at bath time and play statue until I'm told it's ok to jump out. As is normal for a bulldog, I will need a limited diet and regular maintenance to keep my skin allergies under control, other than that, I'm recently spayed and healthy! I am so eager to please you once I know I can trust you, and I get hurt feelings and pout when my foster mom scolds me. I love to wiggle my butt and cuddle, I LOVE to play with my toys and chew my bones, and I like to stick my nose into everything my foster mom is doing in case she needs my assistance. I will do best in a child-free home as I get stressed out with the little ones. I will do best as the only animal and queen of my castle so hopefully you don't have any dogs or cats. My foster mom has gotten quite smitten with me; she tells me how smart I am and calls me "silly girl" when I get frisky with my toys and toss them around then chase them. I can entertain myself with my toys and then I'm ready for a nice long nap, preferably on the couch with you, or in my bed on the floor near you. Because I still need work with socialization and acclimating to the scary busy world around me, I would do best with someone that has dog experience and can be VERY patient with me while I blossom and continually learn to trust humans. My foster mom says I have LOTS of potential and l have sooooo much love to give to the right home. So, if you think you could be patient with me and my needs and love me unconditionally, I would be sooooo happy to meet you and find my Furever best human and home. I think I could be your best little cuddle buddy if you take a chance on me, and I'll show you how well I can toss my own toys then chase after them!

Please note that inquiries on this site are not monitored. To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit https://bulldoghavennw.org/apply/ SSSB ALERT!!! (Super Sweet Special Boy): Hulk is a lovebug! He is a 3-year-old, 75lb. Old English Bulldog. Don't let his unique look fool you. He is all bulldog! Allergies, skin issues. The good news? We know what he is allergic to. We even have diet suggestions that will help going forward. In the past year, Hulk has undergone two major types of surgeries. Both knees, and both eyes! Currently, Hulk has a bit of weakness in his hind legs (but don't tell him) and needs compounding eye drops for both eyes, 2x daily. Even though Hulk is super sweet, we recommend that he goes to a household that has owned a bulldog previously or has older kids. He is strong and can unknowingly knock you over. He is a happy, energetic boy, who wants to be part of it all. Mostly, ALL of your lap! He currently is living with a small dog and a dog savvy cat. He can be triggered by dogs his size or larger, slow, monitored introductions would be recommended. Good with kids - ages 10 and up suggested. He would thrive having other animals in his living situation but would also love to be the only SSSB! Do you have room for this "lapdog" in your life?

Story
Please note that inquiries on this site are not monitored. To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit https://bulldoghavennw.org/apply/ I'm a good girl who's had a *ruff start in life. My foster parents don't know my history because I was dumped behind a bar in Portland, OR so we're learning together. I start off shy, but that's because I had a scary past. I just need to be reassured that you're going to love me and that I can trust you, and I will be your goodest, silliest girl. I will follow you everywhere, making sure that you're safe when you are at your most vulnerable...going to the bathroom. I take that job seriously. I can't fetch you toilet paper, or a towel, but I will commiserate with you if you find yourself in those situations. That's what goodest girls do. I would love a home with a yard so that I can really get my zoomies on, but I'm good in an apartment too. I'm a pro with stairs, but that doesn't mean I like them. Just sayin'. I definitely enjoy my walks, but I'm a strong girl and will pull you so you need to reign me in sometimes. I know I need someone with some bulldog experience because I can be a bit headstrong and if you give me an inch, I'll take that mile. An active (but not overly) family with older kids so that we can go to parks, and things of that nature. I'm learning about play, so it would be a lot of fun to learn how to play with a family. I love it when my foster mom puts treats in my Kong and then makes me figure out how to get those nom noms. I am potty and crate trained. I give subtle signs, so if you miss them, I'm sorry. If you have to walk me for potty breaks, just know there needs to be a "certain vibe" going on in order for me to feel comfortable to go. It can take a bit of time, walking, and quite possibly bushes for me to go behind to discreetly do my business.

Story
Please note that inquiries on this site are not monitored. To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit https://bulldoghavennw.org/apply/ Meet Lana, an English Bulldog/ Frenchie mix with a heart of gold and a personality that's larger than life! At 8 years young, she's a spayed female, 53 pounds and is a sweetheart with a funny personality that brings smiles to everyone around her. Lana is on the lookout for a home where she can be the only pet, no children and bask in the love of adults. Lana's has no health issues to speak of, but she does have a penchant for turning socks and underwear into gourmet snacks, so a tidy floor is a must in her new abode. She's also got a bit of a Fast and Furious streak, occasionally mistaking passing cars for squirrels, so a firm hand on walks is essential. Don't let her stern expression fool you; once Lana warms up, she's all wiggles and grins, especially with her tongue out in a happy pant. She's a snooze-loving, ball-chasing enthusiast who's always up for a walk or a run in the yard. And while tennis balls used to be her chew toy of choice, she's since upgraded to the indestructible rubber variety. Lana is a dream for anyone who loves a good snuggle and a laugh. She's house trained, knows her commands, and will do just about anything for a treat or a squeaky toy. If you're looking for a loyal companion to fill your home with love (and maybe a little drool), Lana might be the perfect addition to your home. Let's find this sweet soul the forever home she deserves! ????

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Introducing Jazzy! She is a 7-month-old, 12lb French Bulldog puppy who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. She is a super sweet and spunky girl! Jazzy is the life of the party and has a big personality ~ there is never a dull moment with her around. She does great with other dogs and would be an awesome additional dog to a home or be fine as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention which she so deserves. She has a lot of energy and a lot of love to give so we are looking for a home that can keep up with her and provide her with the care and attention she needs. Due to her energetic and bouncy nature, we are looking for an adult only home or home with older children. We are looking for a flat-faced breed experienced household. She is going to make an awesome and incredibly fun addition to any lucky household that adopts her. Jazzy is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $800.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Skye is a 3-year-old, 45 lb Shar-Pei/Pit Bull mix who is looking for her forever home. Skye loves to be with her people and would thrive with a family that wants to give her lots of love and continue her basic training. She is very loving with people and loves to play ball in the yard. Skye is active but also likes to lounge. She would make a great active buddy followed by movie nights cuddling on the couch. She gives the best hugs. She has been in the kennel environment for some time and will need a family that can continue training with her, she knows sit and will work for treats! Skye is reactive to other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home and would be best suited in a standalone home with a fenced yard. No apartment or city life for her. With training and support her reactivity could definitely improve. No cats or small critters. We are looking for a home with kids over 12 or adult only, Skye can jump when she is excited and is still learning manners! Skye is UTD on shots, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.
