Story
Say hello to Archie! Archie is a 3-year-old English Bulldog who came to us an owner surrender as his owner was not able to care for him. Prior to coming to us, he lived much of his life in a crate where he was not well socialized or cared for. Archie has made huge strides since going into his foster home and we have found that he forms a deep and loving bond with his person, and we think he would do best in a home with one owner. He is looking for a confident, experienced owner who will spend time to help him reach his full potential. Archie is happy with other dogs, and would do fine with other dogs in the home but is best suited to a home without children and without a lot of foot traffic. He does well in a crate, and he is also house broken. Archie has quite the personality and loves to go for a ride in the car. In addition to car rides, he absolutely loves his toys and will entertain himself for hours on end. Archie is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Bean! Bean is a 3-year-old, 60 lb Staffy/Bulldog mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This handsome guy is the total package ~ sweet, social, and full of love to give! Bean is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than cuddling up on the couch with his people. He’s house-trained, well-mannered in the home, and truly thrives on being part of the family. He’s a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and getting out and about ~ he just wants to be included in the action! He does great with other dogs and will need another dog in the home as a playmate and companion. Bean loves to play and can be a bit rough and rowdy, so he’ll do best with a dog who can match his play style and energy. Bean is a strong boy and is still working on his leash manners, so he’ll need a confident handler who can manage his strength and continue his training. He’s very eager to engage and loves being out in the world, so continued socialization and structure will be important for him. Because of his needs, Bean is looking for a standalone home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely play and burn off energy. He would do best with a home where someone is around often or can take him along on outings, as he doesn’t love being left alone for long periods ~ he truly just wants to be with his people and his dog buddy. As a bonus, Bean even loves bath time and happily soaks up the attention (including towel dries!). He’s a happy, loyal, loving dog who will make an incredible companion for someone ready to include him in their daily life. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and social dog who will be your shadow and your snuggle buddy, Bean is your guy! Bean is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Please meet Forrest! This sweet pup is estimated to be about 10 months old. At a young age, he was abandoned in a park. We don’t know what happened to his mom or if he and his brother were the only ones to survive, but Forrest is resilient with a heart full of joy. Forrest is a happy and playful boy who’s adjusting well to life in a home. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people. He lives in a foster home with cats but he gets very excited wanting to play when he sees them so he accidentally scares the cats. While he’s gentle and kind, we recommend a home with older kids, as his youthful energy might accidentally knock over toddlers. He's a big wiggle-butt, a very happy boy! Forrest would thrive with a family who can help him with leash training and shower him with the love and attention he deserves. Are you ready to give Forrest the forever home he’s been waiting for? We can drive this pup to your area! If you like this cutie please send us an inquiry here and we'll give you a call and video chat with the pup! Here's the link: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Please copy/paste the above link into your browser ^ Our transport can take this pup to any of the above locations. (YES we also adopt to Canada! Please note: adoption fee is in US dollars.) There is NO transport fee, or any extra fees. All is included in the adoption fee. Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry!

Story
Animal Profile:  Penny is a 2 1/2 year old, 65 lb spayed female English Bulldog mix. She has a tight, clean coat and an adorable under bite. She has guardian-breed tendencies and will need a breed-savvy owner who's able to provide appropriate leadership. She is loyal to her family and loves to snuggle. Her absolute favorite joy in life is Ball! She enjoys playing with other dogs but requires a human who can supervise and advocate for appropriate interactions or she is prone to bullying behavior. She is currently being fostered in a home with two other dogs and is crate-trained, house-trained, and has basic obedience training. She will benefit from structure, leadership, and ongoing training. Once acclimated in a home environment, she loves to snuggle and play and has a goofy, loving personality.  Adopter Profile:  Single family residence required Secure fenced yard preferred Large breed experience required Bully breed experience preferred Other balanced dogs and older children considered on case by case basis Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, flea/tick treatment, deworming, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Medical Notes: Penny has had one TPLO repaired in Spring 2025 and fully recovered, before tearing her other CCL in Fall 2025. We will do another TPLO for her with adoption interest.  Animal History:  Penny and her siblings were a surprise litter - their mother was adopted from a local family when she was unknowingly pregnant, so he got much more than he bargained for when she had puppies soon after her adoption. Penny was born on 12/09/22; one of the littermates was  DNA tested and so presumably all littermates are  75% English Bulldog, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Rhodesian Ridgeback. As puppies, these dogs were playful and engaging. Penny was adopted as a puppy to a family who was not prepared for the tendencies of this breed combination. Without any formal training, she developed territorial behaviors in the home and on walks that ultimately led the family to return her to the rescue. She has since been evaluated and fostered in a DGS foster home. She is currently available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.  May 12, 2026, 7:38 pm

Story
Primrose, Princeton and Percival's mom was abandoned at a home when her previous owners moved out. She was left out on a chain to fend for herself. Luckily the neighbors realized she had been left behind and took her in. She was in horrible physical condition and pregnant by to neighborhood stray (a black lab) that would jump the fence when she was in heat. It was reported by the neighbors that these 2 had had multiple litters together but none of the puppies ever survived. The neighbors children fell in love with mom and they are keeping her but needed help rehoming her very last litter (we assisted in getting her spayed). These pups are the most laid back and chill group I have ever seen.

He is incredibly smart, and has learned many things while with us, such as sit, to walk through and under legs when directed, around, to let you walk around him while sitting, stay, come, wait, to catch treats, and more. Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Brewer! Brewer is a 2-year-old, 30 lb French Bulldog mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter after his owner could no longer care for him. This charming guy is full of personality and sure to keep you smiling! Brewer is sweet, spunky, goofy, and packed with character. He does well with other dogs, but he definitely prefers more laid-back, lower-energy companions. High-energy dogs aren’t really his style, and he can be a bit bossy at times, so he’ll do best either as an only dog with continued socialization or in a home with a calm, easygoing canine buddy. Brewer is treat-motivated, walks well on leash, and is overall a well-adjusted, easygoing guy. He enjoys getting out for walks and spending time with his people, but he’s not over-the-top demanding—just a good balance of fun and chill. If you’re looking for a goofy, lovable companion with a big personality and a preference for the simpler, more relaxed side of life, Brewer might just be your perfect match! Brewer is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $600.

FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Bella! Bella is a 4-year-old, 17 lb French Bulldog who came to us with her son, Yoda, after their owner could no longer care for them. This sweet mama is ready to find a loving home where she can be cherished! Bella is as affectionate as they come, melts in your arms, and just wants to be close to her people. She loves saying hello, soaking up attention, and being part of whatever you’re doing. She has a gentle, loving nature that makes her an instant favorite. She does great with other dogs and is a well-socialized. While she doesn’t need to be adopted with her son, Yoda, they share a special bond and wouldn’t mind finding a home together. Bella has a history of chronic ear infections, so she’ll need a home that is committed to keeping up with her ear care to keep her comfortable and healthy. She would do best in a home familiar with flat-faced breeds or willing to learn about their unique needs. Bella is truly a sweetheart through and through—loving, cuddly, and ready to be someone’s little shadow. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who just wants to be loved, Bella might be your perfect girl! Bella is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $600.
