Story
Biggie is approximately 3 years old, he is a sweet boy with lots of energy. He is very strong so although he is not aggressive he is not a good fit for families with small children or babies. Biggie needs a fenced in yard where he can run around when you are not home. Biggie goes potty outside. He is very lovable and needs lots of attention, so if you are home a lot he may be the right pup for you!

Story
She’s Sassy. Silly and Affectionate. Meet Chickpea - a small Fawn TriColored English Bulldog She was a breeder mama dog, protective and bossy. She’s done with boys dogs and dogs in general but is curious and will smell then try to dominate if allowed. She’d like a human to treat her like a princess and let her snore all day and give belly rubs, butt scratches. She is crate trained and follows routines well. She does not clue to when she needs to potty (likely a result of being an outdoor breeder dog). Due to her lack of house training and humping behavior - she would benefit from a breed experienced owner. She does not currently exhibit any allergies or medical needs. Compact size and now a healthy weight of 40 lbs. Vet guessed her to be just 4 years old, her teeth are white and no signs of aging. Heartworm treated and on prevention, vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Hoping to be in her new home by the Holidays. Chickpea could be a city girl, live in a condo or apartment - go on leashed walks for exercise, sleep in a crate to stay out of trouble and enjoy patio time with humans OR live in a home with kids and a yard - her size and love of people make her a great family dog. Chickpea does jump up to give hugs since she's short and got little legs - she gives kisses. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  There is information you need to know about this dog before applying for adoption so please read his entire profile on our website www.collarofhope.org    Bently came from a local shelter but we did get a lot of info on his past.  He was with his Mom but she passed away.  During that time, he did escape once and a dark-skinned man beat him unmercifully, even dislocating his shoulder, so understandably, he doesn't do well with darker skinned people now.  After his Mom passed, family took him in.  Observing some things at the shelter, they contacted the family with questions and they admitted that they and the kids teased him horribly with toys and food as well as hit him.  He was super hand shy when we got him and would cower when you went to pet and love on him.  He soon realized that it was nothing but kindness for him now.  Eventually, we saw his resource guarding from being teased and tormented when he tried to take a young dogs treat (the pup was crated with food, a bully stick and toys).  This can take some concerted effort to turn around in the right hands. Without these things around, he's a very friendly and loving boy even playing well and hanging out with some of the other dogs we've had him with.  It's probably best if he's the only dog in the home so there is no chance for altercation over food, treats or toys.   He's only 2 years old and has had a pretty crappy life so it's our goal to insure he's placed in the right home, so he's well loved, taken care of and happy for the rest of his life!   He is also allergic to both chicken and beef as well as grains (which no dogs should be fed).  It's easy to find single protein foods for him.  He's currently doing well on the Natures Domain Turkey from Costco.   If you think you can give this gorgeous boy a wonderful life and home, please submit our adoption application to get the process started!      Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 1, 2024, 3:56 pm

Story
Winifred is a friendly 2 year old bulldog that can be very calm and relaxed but also still gets the zoomies too. Her foster has learned some things about her that she wants to share. When she first came into rescue we were told she was deaf, could have some vision concerns and didnt get along with other dogs. Well her foster has learned that she can have bulldog selective hearing, but responds really well to quiet stern guidance. As for vision she can see most things and gets around well, but sometimes gets startled if she doesnt see you coming or expect someone to touch her. As for not getting along with other dogs, she likes all her dog friends that are easy going, laid back and dont get in her face. She tends to back off and not want to walk near dogs that are hyper, pushy, or get in her face, this may be due to her vision issues. She would do fine with an older senior or another calm dog. Winifred walks very nicely on a leash and goes potty really well outside on leash, but wants to do her business and go back in quickly if its cold or raining out. She is not a big fan of crates and if stuck in one will tend to mentally shut down. She does much better in a closed off area like a laundry room or x-pen where she can have space until she knows the rules of the house or if she needs she needs to be contained for any reason. She absolutely loves car rides and is a fantastic copilot! She was made for life on the road, and loves it!

Story
I got Yuko from a family that had dogs that so happened to breed with each other. Yuko is 2 years old boy who’s very cuddly. He’s trained and knows how to give paw, sit, sit pretty, roll, spin, and wait for his food. He loves playing fetch but he is a ball hogger so he rolls on his back for belly rubs to distract you from getting the ball. Yuko does have a history of being attacked by dog at a park so he’ll need help for reactivity training when on a leash.

Story
Please note that inquiries on this site are not monitored. To apply for a specific dog with Bulldog Haven NW rescue or submit a general application, please visit https://bulldoghavennw.org/apply/ Hi, my name is Emerald and I'm 47 lbs. of cuddly sweetness once I know I can trust you. I'm a 4-year-old EB mix and my foster mom calls me "sweet girl". I'm crate trained but would rather spend my time with my humans rather than be in my crate too often. I'm completely potty trained and haven't had an accident yet. However, if I get really stressed out, such as a trip to the doggy Dr, I stress poo and need to go RIGHT NOW, but you'll know I'm stressed before it happens!! I spent a lot of time in my crate in my last home, so I haven't been socialized and am learning how to interact with strangers and other animals. I also wasn't leash trained, but my foster mom got me a snazzy new harness and we go on walks every day. I am still very scared and reactive to all of the new sounds and people/animals in the world, so my foster mom has been teaching me how to "leave it and sit." When I get overwhelmed while we're out and about, this prompts me to sit down for a treat (she keeps a stash in her pocket) and this distracts me from what spooked me. I'm very sensitive to "stranger danger" and fear strangers, so I need slow introductions in a safe space, but the people I've met so far have won me over eventually (treats are a good icebreaker). However, I do get very protective of my home and human, so when someone comes to the door, I let them know I'm the great protector of this home. I have some skin issues that my foster mom is helping me with, but they won't stop me from becoming adoptable! I'm very good at bath time and play statue until I'm told it's ok to jump out. As is normal for a bulldog, I will need a limited diet and regular maintenance to keep my skin allergies under control, other than that, I'm recently spayed and healthy! I am so eager to please you once I know I can trust you, and I get hurt feelings and pout when my foster mom scolds me. I love to wiggle my butt and cuddle, I LOVE to play with my toys and chew my bones, and I like to stick my nose into everything my foster mom is doing in case she needs my assistance. I will do best in a child-free home as I get stressed out with the little ones. I will do best as the only animal and queen of my castle so hopefully you don't have any dogs or cats. My foster mom has gotten quite smitten with me; she tells me how smart I am and calls me "silly girl" when I get frisky with my toys and toss them around then chase them. I can entertain myself with my toys and then I'm ready for a nice long nap, preferably on the couch with you, or in my bed on the floor near you. Because I still need work with socialization and acclimating to the scary busy world around me, I would do best with someone that has dog experience and can be VERY patient with me while I blossom and continually learn to trust humans. My foster mom says I have LOTS of potential and l have sooooo much love to give to the right home. So, if you think you could be patient with me and my needs and love me unconditionally, I would be sooooo happy to meet you and find my Furever best human and home. I think I could be your best little cuddle buddy if you take a chance on me, and I'll show you how well I can toss my own toys then chase after them!
