Heya Friends! Im Margo. I am about 6 years old and a little on the thin side for an English Bulldog. But my foster dad says hes gonna help me gain a few. I came into CEBR when my former family realized they couldnt give me the attention and care I deserve! But Im all about new beginnings, and I cant wait for my new adventure. I havent been in my foster home for long yet, but I really love my foster parents already. I follow them everywhere. I am potty-trained, know sit, (just dont forget the treats) , am crate trained, and walk like a lady on a leash both solo and with my foster bulldog siblings. Speaking of my foster siblings, I love them! When they play I join in for a bit, but Im still learning what thats all about. But I am a super smart girl, so I will catch on quickly. I think I might like an obedience class so I can be the best version of me. I was recently spayed and to got my ears cleaned out after a nasty infection, but now I am good to go. Howdy! Im Wally, a 3-year-old, 50lb goofy love-bundle who gives kisses freely and loves a good cuddle- aka an English Bulldog! My foster parents say I look like a friendly Walrus, but promise Im a bully! What makes me special is that I will always greet you with a wag, a nose nudge, and a kiss. Ill be your most loyal movie-night snuggle buddy and constant kisser if you let me, I just love my people so much. But you need to watch me around the throw pillows, and help me remember that they are not my toys. I dont like leashes very much, and sometimes I get grumpy to show you that, but Im in training to use them and walk politely. On these walks Ive seen some other dogs, and not had any problems, but Ive never met another dog up close and personal. I should probably mention that I still have some accidents in my crate sometimes. Im getting better, but overnight Im still leaving a little wetness on my comfy bed. Because I missed out on early structure and routine, I am still learning some basic boundaries in the home. The good news is that I am highly engaged with my people, very responsive to guidance, and making steady progress with consistency, exercise, and support. Why I could be a great match: I am incredibly affectionate and form strong bonds with my people. I am a quick learner and respond well to frequent leash work, structure, and exercise. I do well with other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion who can help me burn energy. I settle well in my crate at bedtime and sleep through the night. I have made strong house-training progress in foster care, with only one accident and none in my crate. What I am still working on: Settling in the home can be challenging at times, and my care team is actively refining the right support plan for my anxiety. I can be impulsive when I become excited or fixated, so I will do best with an adopter who can provide calm, consistent redirection. When I get overstimulated, I can be guided successfully into my crate with high-value treats and usually settle after a few minutes. Tater is a wonderful dog. He is very loving and loves attention. He gets a long with other animals but needs time to warm up. I take him to the dog park where he does well socially with most other dogs. It would be best if the household he goes to does not have other dogs as he is territorial. He does well at dog parks.He loves to play, but most days he is a couch potato.I have 2 cats that he gets along with. He enjoys playing with them. He is best with bigger kids ages 10+. He has not been around little children and will try to play and does not know his own strength. He is hard of hearing, but understands hand commands and is house broken. He will be 4yrs old September 10th. Overall, he is a fantastic dog!My busy schedule and travel are making it difficult to give him the love and attention he deserves. He is a very loving and sweet boy. As I mentioned, he loves to cuddle. I do allow him on the couch, but not the bed. He will take it over trying to cuddle with you.
