Story
Introducing Lily, a delightful 12-year-old West Highland White Terrier weighing around 19 pounds. This charming little lady has a vibrant personality and adores being in the company of her humans. While she may not be the type to curl up on your lap, she absolutely relishes belly rubs and ear scratches, often choosing to lounge on her own spot on the couch afterward. Lily has a hearty appetite and is always eager to sample whatever food is available! At night, she enjoys snuggling up with her human, yet she is perfectly comfortable being alone at home while your away at work. She would thrive in a household with older children or with someone seeking a loyal companion. Although Lily has an ACL tear, she navigates stairs and furniture with assistance, if needed. Age: 12 Breed: Westie Weight: ~19 lbs Kid-friendly: Yes, seems best with older children Dogs: Yes Cats: Not been around cats Crate trained: Yes, but not needed Potty trained: Yes Health concerns: Torn ACL, needs help going up stairs/furniture but gets down without difficulty. Current medications & estimated costs: None Adoption fee: $325 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). At times, adopters will be responsible for procedures not completed in rescue (dentals, bloodwork, etc.)  Your new dog will receive their rabies and distemper vaccine.  $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons as stated by a veterinarian and we will require proof of that recommendation. Thank you for understanding our mission to reduce overpopulation.  Once you submit your application, our adoption manager will be in touch, so please check your spam folder if you do not see something from us within 7-10 days.  Thank you again for your interest in a Grey Face senior. We appreciate your support!   December 13, 2024, 4:38 pm
