Story
Let me introduce you to Mr. Rocco, or as he is affectionately known as in his foster home. Mr. Rocco Taco. Rocco is a young adult dog, best guess is he is a Yorkie/Maltese mix or something similar to that. He is about 16-17 lbs.  Rocco absolutely adores the 10 year old child in the fosters home but any potential adopters need to have children with dog behavior knowledge. He does not want to be picked up by children, unless it is on his terms. He is great about giving signs that he is uncomfortable with a situation, you just need to pay attention to his body language.  Rocco is great and cuddly and just the cutest boy, but he needs to take time to trust his new family. He is not what I would call a shy dog at all, he loves all people, but he doesn’t aways trust everyone right away. Rocco absolutely needs positive reinforcement training due to his trust issues and will absolutely fall apart if you get upset with him. He’s a very sensitive boy who just wants to please his family. He would do great as an only dog or in a home with another dog who is not easily upset by other dogs. Rocco does believe he is the King, and he can be a bit bossy with other dogs.
