Darling Davey is a precious boy. He is a 4 year old, 19 pound, gold and grey, Australian Silky/ Yorkie mix. He sounds like such a sweet boy with a heartwarming story! It's wonderful to hear that he has been rescued and is now looking for his forever home. His gentle nature and treat motivation will surely make him a loving companion for the right family. It sounds like he would thrive best in a calm environment where he can feel safe and secure, especially given his background. Finding a patient owner who can give him time to adjust and show him love and affection is crucial. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting Davey, they should be prepared to provide the regular grooming he needs due to his mixed coat. A home with another small dog would likely help him acclimate and feel more comfortable as he learns to navigate his new environment.
