Rolo is a sweet guy, but lacks impusle control and will defend his right to be your one and only.  He spent a few weeks at Wet Tire Farms K9 training to work on his manners and not needing to recourse guard everything in site.   Rolo needs a home that has the experience and the patience to continue to work with him through his issues.  No cats, no kids, no small animals for this guy.   He does great with other dogs as long as his owner/leader is clear with boundaries and expectations. This guy needs an owner that can match not only his intelligence but his energy level.  Aussies need a job.  He would be great at agility and would thrive in a home that can provide him with structure and a daily routine.  PS, your ball/frisbee skills need to be top notch as well.   He is currently in foster working on his house manners.  He is crate trained, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. ** You MUST be active and live an active lifestyle. **You MUST be committed to crate training and setting clear boundaries and expectations to ensure his mental & physical needs are met daily. **You MUST enroll in and complete the @methodk9 Basic Foundation program (we are able to offer a 50% discount for our approved adopters) ##1747361##

Story
What’s the opposite of the runt? Meet Rusty Griswold! Rusty Griswold is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Born on October 14, 2024, handsome Rusty Griswold is a young black and chocolate brown colored Australian kelpie mix puppy with a stunning, almost tiger striped pattern. We estimate he will be a medium size dog when grown. Rusty Griswold is part of the Christmas Vacation litter, and he traveled with his mom and seven siblings from the Bi-Stone Rescue in Mexia, Texas to find new homes in the PNW area. All feet and floppy ears, Rusty Griswold is just a total goofball. The largest of the litter by almost a full pound (which is a lot when he weighs about 8.5 lbs.), friendly, active Rusty Griswold is playful and loves to roughhouse with his siblings. Tug of war is a favorite pastime for him, and he will take on several of his smaller siblings at once. He gets along well with the dogs and children in his foster home. Rusty Griswold isn’t all play, all the time though. He settles down quickly after his exertions and knows how to use his voice when he wants attention from people. This affectionate boy isn’t too big to snuggle with you, and he enjoys curling up with a warm human on these cold winter nights. Rusty Griswold is a very young puppy and has recently started on his training. He spends a few hours at a time in his crate, and he has begun potty training. When old enough, he will begin walking on a leash and learn basic obedience. Rusty Griswold loves food, so when he figures out he will get treat rewards for the desired behaviors, he will be very happy. Rusty Griswold’s ideal home? He seeks someone to love who will love him in return and will ensure he learns the skills that will make him a happy and well-rounded dog. Rusty Griswold would do well in a home with kids, dogs, and cats; lots of cuddles, play, and activity would make him the happiest of pups. Does this sound like your home? Want to meet Rusty Griswold? Fill out an inquiry form or visit our website for more information! What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2228496##

Story
Demure, Mindful, Adorable! Meet Margo Chester! Margo Chester is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).  Born on October 14, 2024, sweet Margo Chester is a young black, brown and tan colored Australian kelpie mix puppy with darker facial markings. We estimate she will be a medium size dog when grown. Margo Chester is part of the Christmas Vacation litter, and she traveled with her mom and seven siblings from the Bi-Stone Rescue in Mexia, Texas to find new homes in the PNW area. We are currently taking applications for Margo Chester, and she will be able to go home with an adopter after her spay surgery in mid-December. Gentle and affectionate, Margo Chester won’t be the first puppy in the litter to greet new people or animals. Rather than push her way through the scrum of siblings rushing at everything, she waits for her chance to explore new guests with the most attention to detail. Once Margo Chester has conducted her assessment, she settles in for snuggles and seeks to be the center of your attention. Less rambunctious than some of her littermates and the second smallest of eight, she eschews rough play in favor of chewing on her toys (and whatever else is in her vicinity; she is a very young puppy, after all). She’s very demure, very mindful, and absolutely adorable.  Margo Chester is a very young puppy and is settling into a foster home with her mother and siblings. When old enough, she will begin potty, leash, and obedience training. We will be learning more about Margo Chester in the coming days, so please check back for more information. In the meantime, Margo Chester is spending her days getting lots of cuddles, playtime, love, and new adventures with her foster family. Margo Chester is growing into a healthy, active, affectionate pup ready for her new home.  Margo Chester’s ideal home? She seeks someone to love who will love her in return and will ensure she learns the skills that will make her a happy and well-rounded dog.
