Story
Meet Willie! Willie loves sweets and all treats!!! Willie is a happy go lucky boy who loves his foster mama and foster siblings. He is like a shadow, following his favorite human around from room to room. Willie, surprisingly for a puppy is not high energy. He loves to play, but equally loves to cuddle and relax. He loves all fluffy toys, shoes, and any toy he can chew on. He will carry them proudly around. Willie is kennel and almost 100% house trained! He is also a master sleeper of his foster families bed (no accidents). Willie is being fostered in San Antonio Texas and is available for transport throughout the US. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NAF/Dog

Story
Searching for a rehome for my sweet girl Rue. Im looking for people with experience with reactive dogs and have the right environment for her. Unfortunately life has other plans and I cannot provide her with the environment and support she needs anymore. We have had trouble finding a good fit for her because of her history and reactivity. She is very active and loves to run and play. She also loves to train and is super trainable and willing to work! She does good with other pups and likes being in a pack but also does good alone. She does struggle with general anxiety and we have been working through her reactivity issues with a trainer. She completed a 1 month board and train that has helped. She is reactive on leash with dogs, people and bikes. She has a history of 1 bite level 3 on the Dunbar scale but hasnt bit anyone since. She needs someone experienced and with enough love and attention to give her. Shes very funny and sweet and just needs some extra love!

Story
Coco is a sweet boy who loves playing fetch, going on long walks, running in fields, and cuddling on the couch in the evenings. He is a loving “people dog”, but is reactive/anxious with other dogs and requires a gradual introduction to new doggie friends. We recently welcomed a new child to our home, and managing his anxiety together with our toddler’s curiosity is proving to be too much for us. We are envisioning an ideal home for Coco that includes space to run, and a family with either no kids or older kids who understand his boundaries. He loves hiking and especially being outside. Coco is a sweet dog, and an ideal companion for active adults. Note that his “special medical needs” consists of weekly teeth brushing and a maintenance antibiotic dose, as he has an allergy to his own dental plaque, causing inflamed gums/sores if untreated.

Elliot is a very special dog, well, puppy actually. An 8 month old Aussie Shepherd, gorgeous long coat and a fabulous personality to go with it. Elliott loves on everyone, leans into you for all the love and cuddles. This tall fella was fantastic on our Clear the Shelters transport from LA, loaded in and out of the van with ease, walks well on a leash, good manners to go with his good looks. Elliot has made friends with his entire foster family and is already cuddling in a dog bed with his Aussie foster sister. Elliot has already been neutered, he just needs his forever home. Is it with you?

Story
Batson is looking for a new foster or a foster to adopt home! She is hoping to find a new home soon! Are you the person or family she’s looking for? See below on how you can apply to our foster to adopt program or to foster Batson! If you are looking for a fun loving and sweet pup to enjoy quiet snuggles and leisurely walks with, look no further than our adorably fluffy Batson! She’s a total gem and her smile will brighten any room. Batson is good with other dogs as well as mellow, dog-savvy kitties! However, fewer animals in the home is best and she’s also great solo! She really enjoys her one-on-one human time! She would prefer a less active home with a predictable routine. Bonus points if she can have a cozy little area to call her own! This remarkable and resilient girl has had two surgeries to correct ectopic ureters. This has resulted in some incontinence that we think could resolve in a stable and calm environment.  She also has some vision loss in one eye and, incredibly, everything she’s been through hasn’t stopped her from being a happy go lucky gal! You will be amazed at how smart and sweet this babe is! Batson is estimated to have been born March 18, 2024 old and weighs about 40 lbs.She is an Australian Shepherd mix who brings such joy to everyone she meets! If you are interested in our foster to adopt program for Batson, please fill out an adoption application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application or send an email to adopt@forgottendogsrescue.com. Please note that Batson is not eligible for immediate adoption and we will require your participation as a foster until Batson is ready to be adopted in full. When ready to be adopted, Batson’s adoption fee is $550 and she is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Not ready to adopt? No problem! Batson is also looking for a fostering home! If you are interested in fostering Batson, please fill out a foster application at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/foster-application or send an email to foster@forgottendogsrescue.com. When you foster with Forgotten Dogs, we supply all food, equipment, training support and vet care. Story
❗Health Status❗ * Neutered. * Heartworm negative. * Has some spinal stenosis so his gait is slightly unstable. However, his condition does not require surgery. * Has a growth, which is not malignant, so surgery is not required. However, observation is needed to see if it gets bigger. * Is fed with prescribed hepatic food for liver management. * Is fed with soft food additionally due to his bad tooth condition. Meet Haesol💕 After long roaming for an unknown period of time, Haesol entered a local temple in search of food and refuge. The monks took good care of him but there were cats in the temple already being cared for. The monks were unable to continue caring for him. Haesol was rescued thanks to the efforts of an Adogs volunteer who learned about the situation. * With People: Shows curiosity towards strangers! Accepts being petted but doesn't enjoy it by them. Relaxes with familiar people and wags his tail happily to greet those who have returned after going out. * With Dogs: Accepts doggy friends who come up to him rather than approaching first. Stays still without discomfort when they approach rather than playing or reacting with them. * Separation Anxiety: Doesn't have separation anxiety and usually sleeps even when he is with other dog friends. * Potty Training: Is good at both indoor potty and outdoor potty. Prefers doing outdoor potty. * Hygiene: Is terrified with baths, because he is not used to it. Doesn't like to be touched, especially on his feet or on his growths, so you have to be patient with him until he gets used to it. Dislikes the sound of the dryer, so the guardian dries him with a fan after baths. Dislikes having his paws touched, so struggles slightly with nail trimming. * Walks: Walks well without pulling on the leash. Sometimes goes where he wants to go, but if you give him a little tug on the leash, he will follow you. May start losing his balance after 20 minutes of walking due to his age, so caution is needed. * Car sickness: Doesn't like to ride in cars and sometimes barks. 💌Special Notes💌 * Is afraid of sudden loud noises. 💙 Foster's Instagram: @easystar_imbo

Story
Meet Gucci❤️ Gucci was rescued from a puppy mill while pregnant on a rainy day. She bravely raised her six babies well. After taking care of her babies, she was so scared that she needed socialization training. So she got training at a professional training school, and slowly opens up to people. All her six babies were adopted in Korea, the U.S., and Canada. Now it's her turn to meet her forever family!! She keeps getting better little by little, but she's still timid. We're waiting for a family who can wait for her and show her this beautiful life.

Shows no aggression and enjoys being petted when it was done slowly. Constant training will reduce more her separation anxiety. * Potty Training: Prefers to go outdoor for potty but uses pee pads well when she can not go out. * Hygiene: Cooperates well with bathing, brushing and toenail trimming. * Walks: Is professional without pulling on the leash. Care should be given to prevent her from running away and hiding when she feels fear. * Car Sickness: Pants a little when in the car for extended periods, but does not vomit. 💌 Special Notes💌 * Is still very timid and is undergoing desensitization training to become more comfortable around people. Is naturally gentle, but needs some time to open up. * Is sensitive to loud noises and sudden approaches, which can startle her. **Health Status: Finished treatment for heartworm infection(Retest is needed on March 2025) Foster's Instagram : @choa.joa

A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the huge fees they take from the rescue. Talk about right place at the right time yet again with our foster mum & for beautiful Shiba. This is another one of those disgusting stories plus so very sad for Shiba. Our foster mum was at one of the very high kill shelters in CA rescuing a sweet soul when a family come along who were going to dump Shiba. They daughter said she did not like Shiba because her eyes freaked her out. Shiba was her dads dog & had her since she was a puppy & they were all moving. The dad lived in the garage & he left Shiba with them that morning because in his new place he couldn’t have dogs. So the daughter wanted Shiba gone & was not willing to take her to the new place they were moving to. The usual disgusting story of, we are moving so we can’t take our beloved dogs with us story. Unfortunately our foster mum thought there was only Shiba they were dumping but they had 2 more dogs. As our foster mum was driving away down the road a young daughter in the car yells out “we have 2 more dogs we are giving to the shelter”, but her father told her not to bother the lady. So unfortunately 2 other dogs did enter the shelter & we don’t know if they made it out alive from the same home? We are so grateful to have saved Shiba. We can’t begin to express how much we all love this girl. Without our outstanding foster mum this would not of happened & who knows what would of happened to this precious girl? Shiba is 1 of our beloved rescues favorite girl in the rescue. She is the nicest girl. We truly believed her dad did love her very much. Medically, no & financially no. That was all on our shoulders to take care of. But her mannerisms tell she was loved. Shiba who is now looking for her very own forever home & who will never give up on her again & dump her & love her just as her foster mum & we do. Shiba was bought back to WA state from CA where we got all of her medical taken care of & she can’t wait to find her loving forever home. Our foster mum in CA cried & cried the day Shiba left as she knew she was a very special girl. How on earth anyone could let Shiba down is beyond us. Especially since the previous people had her so long, it’s shocking. Shiba just wants to be loved & look look out, once you love her back you will have a new best friend for life. Disturbing to think of what almost happened to her. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA. Shiba is such a good girl her foster mum said, she is super sweet, she is so quite & lives to be near you. You look at her & she looks straight into your soul. It’s time for this girl to be the queen as she always should of been. Shiba is a good eater, she loves to eat & put on countless pounds since being rescued. Shiba loves sleeping with her foster mum & wants to sleep with her & does not like to sleep alone. So we are only looking for a home where she can sleep with her family or other dog friends in the home. Shiba’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for her safety. She loves to go outside & sun herself & play in the backyard. She wants to be wherever you are her foster mum said. She will become your stalker. If you get up, she gets up. If you take a shower, there she is on the other side waiting for you. This sweetheart has been taught to shake paws as it shows in 1 of her pictures. She is a smart girl. Shiba has been great with her baths because she started having them with us the moment she was rescued & she was quite filthy when our foster mum got her. She is also so used to them & is good being dried by the hairdryer. Shiba rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & enjoys looking out the window & going places with you. Shiba walks beautifully on her slip lead. We cannot say enough how wonderful this girl is & we want the very best forever home for her. We are looking for a forever home for Shiba where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Shiba is good with other dogs & we have even put her into a daycare with all different breeds of dogs & she has done good with them. We are also looking for a crate free home for the little lady only. Shiba is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. Shiba has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. We have tested her for roughly 9 months with countless dogs in & out of a daycare with countless breeds & she has done well with them. But we want her to be the only dog in her forever home so she can be the queen & get all the attention. Shiba was adopted for a extremely short period of time but it was not a match as she did not get along with the dog in the home the adopter said & she had scuffles with that dog so they did not want her & returned her. Shiba is roughly 5 years old & 61 lbs & is perhaps an Australian shepard, but what she is mixed with we are not sure at all. She is female, spayed by laser by our wonderful vets. Shiba is, heart worm negative, had a dental scale & polish & dental x-rays. We treated Shiba for a raging skin infection where she lost some of her fur on her belly & legs with antibiotics but her fur grew back. She is microchipped, given flea treatment, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on Shiba, with all of her medical care than her adoption fee comes close to even covering, her spay by laser, all of her shots, testing her for heart worm, microchip transport fees bringing her back to WA state, etc. Shiba has been around cats since being in the rescue in her foster home & could care less about the cat in her foster home but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Shiba was conceived so we do not know who both her parents were, but it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Shiba’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Shiba potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Shiba has been through many traumas in her short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for her care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Shiba & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Shiba who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this beautiful soul of a lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Shiba has an adoption fee of $995 & her adoption fee does not come close to what we have spent on this beautiful girl. Shiba is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

Quick Facts Name: Kiko Age: 3 years old Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Border Collie Mix Colour: White & Black Weight: 17kg Height: 60 cm (to the shoulder when standing on all fours) My Story I'm Kiko, a sweet and resilient 3-year-old Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines as brightly as my black-and-white coat. I'm a handsome, medium-sized boy weighing 17 kg (37 lbs), standing about 60 cm tall at the shoulder. My journey hasn't been without challenges-I was found in 2021 with a suspected hip fracture from a car accident. Despite this, I was described as "beautiful, gentle, and patient" in the shelter records. My hip healed on its own, and now I'm healthy, neutered, and ready to find my forever family. I've come a long way, and my loving personality has only grown stronger. My Personality I'm a friendly, social pup who loves everyone I meet! Whether you're a familiar face or someone new, I'll greet you with a wagging tail and maybe even lean in for a cuddle. I'm gentle and patient with kids, making me a great companion for families. If you pick me up or scratch my belly, I'm all yours-I'll happily roll over to show my trust and affection. My calm, affectionate nature makes me a joy to have around. My Social Side I'm a social butterfly with dogs too! I enjoy meeting new canine friends, especially those around my size, and I'm polite and playful when saying hello. If another dog gets too pushy, I prefer to steer clear rather than engage in any drama. While I haven't had much experience with cats, my easygoing and adaptable personality suggests I could learn to coexist peacefully with them. I'm a well-mannered, harmonious companion for both people and pets. My Energy Level & Walks I have a moderate energy level that makes me the perfect balance of active and relaxed. I love outdoor activities like walks and playtime, but I settle down nicely afterward and enjoy relaxing by your side. While I may pull on the leash a little, I'm eager to follow my human and learn new things. My Border Collie roots shine through in my intelligence and loyalty-I'm a quick learner who thrives on interaction and connection. After a good walk or play session, I'm ready for some quiet downtime at home. More About Me I'm a calm, adaptable dog with a heart of gold. I rarely bark unless there's a reason, and I don't guard my food, making me an easygoing addition to any household. I'm well-trained with potty habits and comfortable using both indoor pads and going outside. My gentle nature, intelligence, and social personality mean I'll fit in just about anywhere, whether you're looking for an active partner or a laid-back companion. Last Message If you're ready to welcome a loyal, loving friend into your home, I'm here to be the perfect companion. I can't wait to meet my forever family and start this exciting new chapter of my life! Videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THpkskYlAMA&list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jwn36sUaqG732b_1wX00ipu ##2261001##
