We are in the unfortunate situation that we need to rehome our beautiful dog. Please help us find a great home for him. Cody is 5 years old, Australian retriever/Lab mix, and 75 lbs. He is a very sweet, friendly dog, and loves playing catch- a little too much! We were only supposed to foster him for a year, but our friend moved so could not take him back. We fell in love with Cody, but I am gone 14 hour days, and travel too frequently to give him the stability he deserves. Looking for someone who is retired or works from home (or part-time job), with no small children, and the time to take Cody to dog training classes for his anxiety. He is currently taking a pill with meals to help him with his overzealous love of retrieving balls/toys. He’s a very smart dog, listens and doesn’t pull when walking. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Lincoln! He is a very high energy, active and sweet 2-year-old, 40 lb Australian Shepherd. He is a happy boy and loves to get attention from his people! He will do great with a family that understands herding dogs and their needs. He can be strong willed and is still working on basic obedience and will need a family that will continue his training. He is working on not jumping up and mouthing right now so he needs an adult only home or a home with kids over 14. He is super sweet, but he has a lot of happy and unfocused energy. He is very smart and will thrive with training. He would love to be in a home in a suburban or rural neighborhood with a securely fenced yard for him to run and play. He will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time. He likes other dogs but can play very rough with them and would rather spend time with his humans so for that reason we are looking for a home for him as an only dog or with another dog who is able to handle his rough play. He will need an adopter that will keep him physically and mentally active and would make a great jogging or adventure buddy. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

IMMEDIATE FOSTER NEEDED: Meet Fury! He is a 9-year-old, 55 lb Blue Merle AKC registered Australian Shepherd who was surrendered to us as his owner could no longer care for him. Fury loves to be petted, pampered and groomed. He likes playing by himself with soccer balls and plushie toys, tossing and chasing them around. He also loves to lounge in the sunshine! Fury would like to find himself his very own retirement home where he can be an only dog with his own securely fenced yard to relax in during the day, and a cozy kennel at night. He would do best in a home where he can be the only pet, soaking up all the love and attention. He walks well on a leash for the most part but can be leash reactive and he does not care for other male dogs or dogs who get in his face on leash. He would do best in a quiet suburban or rural neighborhood. Fury has been gentle with the young child in his previous home under supervision but in typical herding fashion nips at anyone who runs next to him, so it is recommended that he goes to an adult only home or with children over 12. Fury has recently had a dental and is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. As a senior boy, he deserves more than spending his golden years in a commercial kennel and we are looking for a foster family who want to love him and care for him for the rest of his life.

Introducing Pepperz! She is a 8-year-old, 20lb Mini Aussie/Pomeranian mix who came to us as an owner surrender as her owner could no longer care for her. Pepperz is a very sweet dog and gets along with and plays well with other dogs. Although she does enjoy other dogs, she will bark at other dogs when on the leash but once she meets them she is fine, so a home outside of the city where there is not heavy pedestrian traffic with other dogs would probably be best for her. She loves her people and would also be very happy to be the only dog in the home soaking up all of the love and attention with continued socialization. She is an active girl and would love a home where she can go on walks and adventures. She is very smart and bonds deeply with her person. She knows a few basic commands and is quick to learn. Pepperz is UTD vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450.

Animal Profile: Nellie is an estimated 18 month old, 55 lb spayed female mixed breed (possibly border collie and shepherd) who was found as a stray in TX and taken in by our rescue partners. She is very social, friendly, playful with dogs, and good in the crate -- but loves to be with her humans. We will share more about her as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Update: Nellie is a loyal, loving and easy going young dog who has been a joy to foster. She has high energy when she knows it's time to play, but can also relax when it's not play time. She is wonderful in the crate and is also good on leash, rarely pulling. She is friendly and playful with other dogs once she warms up to them after slow introductions. She is good at communicating boundaries appropriately with other dogs when it comes to staying away from "her stuff." She absolutely loves being outside and will be a great hiking or running buddy! She's a hard chewer so will need durable toys. She has a cute little habit of stealing socks and hiding them in her crate; she doesn't destroy them, just likes to collect them. Her ideal family would be a couple or single person with or without another balanced dog, looking for an adventure buddy and willing to help her continue to build her confidence. Nellie has not been formally evaluated with cats or kids.
