Story
Brodie is an amazing dog but with my busy schedule and another dog to look after, I sadly cannot care for both of them as well as I anticipated when I first picked up Brodie. He's still young at 7 months and learning commands but he is potty trained and great with other pets and people.

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Sweet Skye Man has come to us as one of three Aussie mix older pups that are still impressionably young at just 8 months and 19 pounds. This handsome, yet shy boy, is looking for a family that will fill his soul with love and affirmation and confidence building lessons every day. He and his siblings were raised in an outdoor kennel with little to no love and attention. They were merely fed, but yet eventually were released to our Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom.  Skye Man  is a sponge for life lessons and he is so receptive to human touch and love.  He is the smaller pup from his litter of three that we have in our care now. He is comfortable in a crate, but needs leash training.  There's so many exciting experiences and a wonderful family waiting for him out there. All he needs to have is the moment he is discovered and someone contacts Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to ask if they can adopt him. We know that day is coming soon. He is fully vetted and neutered and ready to hop on the van to the home in the Northeast region or to just merely meet a new family in Tennessee where he resides currently. If you were interested please email us at the address we just gave.  Be sure to let us know where you live, city and state. We will be quickly responsive.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Critter Cavalry Rescue it's so excited to show the world this very special red heeler mix boy named Ace. He is approximately 36 lb. 5-6 month old Aussie/red ,Heeler mix and has been in a very small town shelter for over 2 months with his two siblings. This boy is so very sweet and happy and handsome and smart. We are looking for a home that will appreciate the intelligence and devotion of the Heeler and Australian Shepherd breed.   Don't let what you read about herding breeds influence you to think they are at top speed all the time. They do love their exercise and energy, but they are cuddlers, snugglers, chill by your feet and wanting to learn. They are good with children and do make excellent hiking and running companions. Up for adventure at all times, this boy is not shy and does not have any emotional damage right now. We just got he and his siblings out of the shelter as of 10/15 and Critter Cavalry has temporary fosters.  We are now looking for permanent homes.  If you are interested in being part of the solution in the life of Ace or his siblings, please write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  October 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
This beautiful girl is a purebred chestnut red and white Australian Shepherd with the most uplifting spirit that you will find in a dog. She is 5 to 6 years of age, 44 pounds, and was a stray who found herself in a Tennessee shelter.  Very  quickly Bindi became one of the shelter staff's favorites.  She is wonderful with every creature she meets, dogs and cats and she seems to be housebroken and has exceptional manners. She belonged to someone who unfortunately never came looking for her once she was lost. We don't know her story but we know that we hold her future story in our hands as we search the rescue websites to find the perfect family. She will need exercise and a family that takes her for walks and keeps her safe within a fenced in yard. She will have energy and yet she will have the ability to know at this mature age, how to chill and how to relax with her humans. This girl will be a treat for any family or couple or single person to call their very own. If you were interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  Please mention where you live, city and state as we adopt in Tennessee where we are based and also to the Northeastern region where we transport every weekend   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Meet our new Critter Cavalry beauty, Amazing Astrid! She is a 6 month old, purebred, Australian Shepherd girl who weighs 30 lbs and is seeking an Australian Shepherd savvy family with a fenced yard. She thought she had found her fur-ever home, but it didn't go as planned. Her parents were older and they wanted to get an Aussie puppy after their last one passed away from old age.  Unfortunately Astrid had quite a bit more energy than they could handle. What is even more unfortunate is that she accidentally got under her human mom's feet and caused her to fall, breaking her arm in three places. It was soon apparent that they were not suited at their age for such a young and vibrant puppy. They lovingly released her to Critter Cavalry foster care and we are now seeking a younger more appropriate family and home. She was on a farm with chickens, ducks, and goats and does well with all of them. She also gets along with cats, other dogs, and children. Her Foster's children have fallen in love with her, the 5 year old declared, 'She is the best dog I have ever met.' He really likes how she shows him affection and attention but doesn't jump on him and overwhelm him.  If you are interested in this sweet pup contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
What a precious, loving, beautiful young dog. Vance is a delight with many kisses! While slightly shy after his plane ride from Duplin County, he quickly warmed up and was so happy to ride in the car to his next destination. He covered his backseat handler with tons of love and kisses. Vance is about 35 lbs with eyes that melt your heart. He wants to be close to you, almost hugging you, yet ready to run and play. His fur is so soft and beautiful as if he has just been groomed. Vance is probably not quite a year old yet but will make a wonderful pet, especially for agility and obedience work. Vance is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea prevention, and will be neutered and microchipped as soon as possible. He was very good with his traveling partner, a beautiful tan and white Beagle and collie mix, also from Duplin County, NC, and tested well with other dogs at the shelter. Now that Vance is getting ready for his forever home, you won’t find a happier dog! He's very playful and eager to please his humans. If you are interested in adopting Vance or need more information, just email adoptionsecondchance@gmail.com or go to secondchancehabitat.org and download an adoption application

Story
Say hello to Kendy, a peppy puppy so happy to be out of the Duplin County shelter! She is now free to run and play in a large fenced setting with her sisters where they finally get to experience the joys of puppyhood! At five months old and 23 pounds, Kendi is fully vaccinated, on heartworm and flea prevention, and will be spayed in a month or so when she's old enough. The dog scanner has her listed as a Catahoula Leopard and border collie blend, but we can see some lab/terrier in her, too. She is definitely good with other dogs and very sweet and friendly with her humans. And if she's anything like her sister Knoxlee, she's also good with cats. Like her siblings, Kendi is very intelligent and would be an ideal candidate for agility training. She would be an absolute star on an agility course and make her owner proud! Now that she's out of the shelter, she has a chance to truly shine and be the outstanding little dog she's meant to be! If you think you might like to be part of Kendi's forever future, just email adoptsch@gmail.com or go to secondchancehabitat.org and download an adoption application.

Story
Now here's a young girl who's ready for fun! No need to ask twice--Davina will pack up and travel with you anywhere, anytime! She wears a constant smile on her face because she is just so full of joy! And it's contagious! She will entertain you with her silly antics and loves to do zoomies in the yard (fenced, please)! Naturally, she enjoys her activities because she's only a year old and at 47 pounds, she is a good size. She is fully vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm negative and will be spayed as soon as possible. As for her breed, the dog scanner lists her as a blend between an Australian Kelpie, Black and Tan Coonhound and Catahoula Leopard Dog. Davina was rescued from the Duplin County shelter in North Carolina in the nick of time and she's such a good save! Davina did well with other dogs when she was tested at the shelter and she adores her humans. Her zest for life is inspiring. If you are interested in sharing life's adventures with this sweet girl, then please email adoptsch@gmail.com for an adoption application or go to the website secondchancehabitat.org to download one.
