Swipper is a super playful pup that LOVES to run and play with his doggie friends. He was kept in a crate the majority of his life and is under socialized, due to this he is nervous of new things, people, and average dog things like a leash. He will need someone who is willing to be patient with him and make him feel comfortable and understand that not all people or things are bad. He is a very sweet boy once he warms up. We are unsure of him and cats but as we say super slow introductions and patience is the best way to go. He would do best in a home with kids that are 10 and above that will respect his boundaries and have patience with him as he learns how to dog. He is crate trained and will use it as his safe space when he gets nervous. He is still very much a puppy with all the puppy tendencies and will benefit greatly from consistent training and patience. He is also housetrained. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. Interested in adopting? Meet sisters Harper and Hazel, five-month-old Australian Shepherd mixes. They now weigh around 25 pounds, but we expect them to mature to around 45-50 pounds. They both wear medium-length red, chocolate, and white coats; however, only Hazel has fluffy ears. They are a delight and do wonderfully with other dogs! Adopt Harper or Hazel and let them fill your life with joy! (ME, 11/4/24)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed, is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. Yozuri and her sister Yamaha were found when their foster parents were on a walk. The sisters came trotting out of the woods where they had been living in a cardboard box. They were vetted and fostered and adopted to a home. Due to unforeseen circumstances that were not at all of her making, Yozuri finds herself back in the care of Save a Stray once again hoping for a forever home. Yozuri is just happy about life. She is housetrained and crate trained. She gets along with everyone, loves toys, and playing fetch. Yozuri is smart, comes when called, and gives attention easily. She is a playful girl but also loves to snuggle. She is a delight to have around. This girl deserves a home to treat her like a princess.
