Freya is a loyal and loving, 2 year old, mixed breed, medium sized dog who's looking for a forever home 🐾❤️. She may take some time to warm up to new people and environments, but once she's comfortable, she's a joy to be around. Freya also loves playing with other dogs of all sizes! 🐾🐶. Freya is housetrained and has good indoor manners. She is also obediant and comes when called! Freya has a history of living sucessfully with multiple children but prefers calm to chaos! Don't we all?! Can you can give Freya the stability and life long commitment she yearns for? Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Cruzy came in as a stray, so we don't know if he likes kids, cats or pups yet, but what we do know is that he is curious, somewhat independent, but still loves a hug!! What he absolutely ADORES...are TREATS! Suddenly he heard "sit," and even offered to "shake paw" with zero hesitation! He'll also scavenge for them. 😅 Cruz is a low-key yet observant boy determined to make your home complete! And yes, he's got the cutest nubby tail! Story
This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. She’s the kind of pup who will happily romp around and play, then settle in for cuddles when it’s time to relax. With her smarts and eagerness to connect, Shepherd will thrive in a home ready to continue her training and give her plenty of love and engagement.
