Story
Everyone meet Kai. He is a purebred Australian Shepherd and only 13 months old. He knows basic commands, is house trained, and loves his people. Kai is very comfortable with the 5 and 9 year old in his foster home and loves to play fetch. The pictures speak a thousand words with how stunning he is! He can be a little shy with new people but is gaining confidence every day. Kai has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm tested. He will come with 6 months of heartworm prevention and 30 days of pet insurance for his new family.

Story
Hi there, I'm Toby in Norfolk! As an 8-month-old puppy, I am full of energy and curiosity. I love exploring new places, sniffing new smells, and playing outside. I'm extremely food motivated, quite smart and a quick learner! I love playing fetch, chase, and keep away. I go on walks daily, sometimes when my foster parents are on bikes (and I can jog). I need exercise every day, because with activity, I'm much more well-mannered. I'm very affectionate once I get comfortable with you. My foster family is working on my stranger-danger and improving my social skills since I had little human interaction or training as a younger pup. I'm neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. I can be a bit nervous and shy at first, I'll probably even bark at you, but once I get to know you I'm as loving and loyal as they come. I'm very obedient and always eager to please. I learned how to use the doggie door in one day, but I occasionally still have excited-pee moments. I get a bath, my nails trimmed, and my teeth brushed with no complaints! I know several commands like sit, wait and down and I usually sleep through the night in my own dog bed without any fuss. I have a big case of FOMO, so I'm good in a crate for about 3 hours with a chew bone or lick mat, but I still may cry and bark when left. I love to go bye-bye and I'm great in the car. My foster family takes me on lots of field trips, and I go to work with my foster dad sometimes too. I have two foster fur sisters that I continue to learn from daily. I'd do best in a home with another doggie sibling to help build my confidence and continue to learn how to dog. I'll need an active parent or family as I have a lot of energy, but I really do settle down after exercise. I'm working on down and because I still jump up on my favorite people, older kids would probably be best for me. I'm looking for an active and patient home that will nurture my playful puppy spirit and provide lots of fun and love. I promise I'm worth it! Adopt me and let's make some wonderful memories together! (Toby will need more than one meet and greet due to his shyness) If Toby sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Sweet Skye Man has come to us as one of three Aussie mix older pups that are still impressionably young at just 8 months and 19 pounds. This handsome, yet shy boy, is looking for a family that will fill his soul with love and affirmation and confidence building lessons every day. He and his siblings were raised in an outdoor kennel with little to no love and attention. They were merely fed, but yet eventually were released to our Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom.  Skye Man  is a sponge for life lessons and he is so receptive to human touch and love.  He is the smaller pup from his litter of three that we have in our care now. He is comfortable in a crate, but needs leash training.  There's so many exciting experiences and a wonderful family waiting for him out there. All he needs to have is the moment he is discovered and someone contacts Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to ask if they can adopt him. We know that day is coming soon. He is fully vetted and neutered and ready to hop on the van to the home in the Northeast region or to just merely meet a new family in Tennessee where he resides currently. If you were interested please email us at the address we just gave.  Be sure to let us know where you live, city and state. We will be quickly responsive.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 31, 2024, 2:39 pm

Story
Critter Cavalry Rescue it's so excited to show the world this very special red heeler mix boy named Ace. He is approximately 36 lb. 5-6 month old Aussie/red ,Heeler mix and has been in a very small town shelter for over 2 months with his two siblings. This boy is so very sweet and happy and handsome and smart. We are looking for a home that will appreciate the intelligence and devotion of the Heeler and Australian Shepherd breed.   Don't let what you read about herding breeds influence you to think they are at top speed all the time. They do love their exercise and energy, but they are cuddlers, snugglers, chill by your feet and wanting to learn. They are good with children and do make excellent hiking and running companions. Up for adventure at all times, this boy is not shy and does not have any emotional damage right now. We just got he and his siblings out of the shelter as of 10/15 and Critter Cavalry has temporary fosters.  We are now looking for permanent homes.  If you are interested in being part of the solution in the life of Ace or his siblings, please write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com  October 31, 2024, 2:39 pm
