Yozuri and her sister Yamaha were found when their foster parents were on a walk. The sisters came trotting out of the woods where they had been living in a cardboard box. They were vetted and fostered and adopted to a home. Due to unforeseen circumstances that were not at all of her making, Yozuri finds herself back in the care of Save a Stray once again hoping for a forever home. Yozuri is just happy about life. She is housetrained and crate trained. She gets along with everyone, loves toys, and playing fetch. Yozuri is smart, comes when called, and gives attention easily. She is a playful girl but also loves to snuggle. She is a delight to have around. This girl deserves a home to treat her like a princess. If Yozuri sounds like the one for you and your lifestyle, please read info below regarding adopting. Complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635. Want to meet ME?* Come to our adoption event this weekend: Sunday, March 9th from 11:30-1:30 Dulles Landing Petsmart, 24570 Dulles Landing Dr. #140, Dulles, VA 20166 Only Canines & Kitties Rescue pre-approved adopters will be able to bring a dog/puppy/cat/kitten home from the adoption event. Please apply a few days (or more) ahead of the event to allow time for processing. We hope to see you on Sunday!!! *Dog/Cat attendance is not guaranteed. Feel free to text the event coordinator to confirm a specific dog/cat's attendance: 703-447-4766 IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Skipper - Skipper is 15 weeks old. We think this litter looks like Australian Shepherd/Cattle Dog mixes (JUST A GUESS). Skipper is the most adventurous and fearless of the group! The mom, Bonnie, is super sweet and has been a great mom. The puppies are all playful and loving and enjoy cuddling with their foster mom and dad. They have been in foster care since birth and enjoy getting lots of attention. The puppies will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy is $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Meet Emma - Emma is about 1 year old and 43 lbs. We think Emma looks like an Aussie Shepherd/German Shepherd mix. Emma is super playful and energetic. Emma loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home. Emma enjoys walks and is doing well on leash. Emma is still a bit "mouthy" due to her age and her foster mom is working on this. If there are children in Emma's forever home they should be 11 years and up. Emma's would do best with an adopter who knows the "working breed" characteristics. Emma will need an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day. Emma will be spayed on 2/19/25. Emma is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Story
Luna is a Miniature American Shepherd and Australian Shepherd mix, born on July 5, 2024, from a breeder in Tennessee. She is an amazing, well behaved dog, house leashed & great off leash at the park. She listens well, enjoys human companionship, and thrives in a loving home. Due to my busy work and school schedule, I can no longer give Luna the attention she deserves. If my circumstances were different, I would absolutely keep her. She needs a committed and responsible home where she will receive the love and care she thrives on. This is my second time posting Luna, as the first adopter went AWOL on us after all arrangements were made. Please only apply if you are fully committed, her future depends on you. Luna is a loving companion who deserves a stable home. If you have the time, love, and dedication to give her, she will be your most loyal friend. I will reach out via text to arrange a meet and greet.
We'll also keep you updated on Luna's adoption status with email updates.
