Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 11, 2024, 7:28 pm

Story
Sweet Skye Man has come to us as one of three Aussie mix older pups that are still impressionably young at just 8 months and 19 pounds. This handsome, yet shy boy, is looking for a family that will fill his soul with love and affirmation and confidence building lessons every day. He and his siblings were raised in an outdoor kennel with little to no love and attention. They were merely fed, but yet eventually were released to our Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom.  Skye Man  is a sponge for life lessons and he is so receptive to human touch and love.  He is the smaller pup from his litter of three that we have in our care now. He is comfortable in a crate, but needs leash training.  There's so many exciting experiences and a wonderful family waiting for him out there. All he needs to have is the moment he is discovered and someone contacts Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to ask if they can adopt him. We know that day is coming soon. He is fully vetted and neutered and ready to hop on the van to the home in the Northeast region or to just merely meet a new family in Tennessee where he resides currently. If you were interested please email us at the address we just gave.  Be sure to let us know where you live, city and state. We will be quickly responsive.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
This boy is a handsome young 18 month, 45 lbs. bobtail  Australian Shepherd called Ruger that needs an Aussie savvy home!  As you can see he has an outgoing smile and has so much personality and the ability to get along with everyone.  He has a happy and winning temperament and we were baffled at how he landed in the small TN shelter we took him from. He is a rich, handsome chestnut and white color and a soft and wavy coat. If you can help this boy find a forever home, Critter Cavalry Rescue is behind you all the way. Story
Meet our new Critter Cavalry beauty, Amazing Astrid! She is a 6 month old, purebred, Australian Shepherd girl who weighs 30 lbs and is seeking an Australian Shepherd savvy family with a fenced yard. She thought she had found her fur-ever home, but it didn't go as planned. Her parents were older and they wanted to get an Aussie puppy after their last one passed away from old age.  Unfortunately Astrid had quite a bit more energy than they could handle. What is even more unfortunate is that she accidentally got under her human mom's feet and caused her to fall, breaking her arm in three places. It was soon apparent that they were not suited at their age for such a young and vibrant puppy. They lovingly released her to Critter Cavalry foster care and we are now seeking a younger more appropriate family and home. She was on a farm with chickens, ducks, and goats and does well with all of them. She also gets along with cats, other dogs, and children. Her Foster's children have fallen in love with her, the 5 year old declared, 'She is the best dog I have ever met.' He really likes how she shows him affection and attention but doesn't jump on him and overwhelm him.  If you are interested in this sweet pup contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

Story
BLUE - 7 years old, 70 pounds, house trained; home with older kids, only dog, no cats. *After being with his family his whole life, Blue is now sitting in a shelter because that family could no longer care for his needs.  *He is reactive from behind the cage bars but once he actually meets you outside of the cage, he is a friendly and nice boy.  *He is already house trained and used to walking on a leash.  *He isn't used to a lot of handling so it might take time for him to trust you but once that bond has been created, you are good to go!  *Blue can be trusted roaming free in a home and he would be a nice companion to take on car rides and vacations. *Blue is said to be good with other dogs but he would be best as the only dog in a home. *Blue is currently in our large dog adoption kennel so come in to meet him!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 8, 2024, 11:34 am

Story
Axe! Axe is unfortunately a repeat visitor to our shelter. He was surrendered to another shelter because of being too protective over his owner. He is now looking for an owner that is understanding of the Aussie breed and will work with him on basic training and manners. He is more comfortable with woman and is looking for a home with older children or no children. He is crate trained and used to daily walks. His owner describes him as super smart, sweet and very loyal to his people. He is protective of his people and home, so crating him when there are visitors in the home is best. Come by the shelter to meet this handsome boy today!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 19, 2024, 1:14 pm

Brodie is an amazing dog but with my busy schedule and another dog to look after, I sadly cannot care for both of them as well as I anticipated when I first picked up Brodie. He's still young at 7 months and learning commands but he is potty trained and great with other pets and people.

These pups are in Norfolk, Virginia too!

Story
Momma Donna is a Kelpie/Heeler mix girl that gave birth 3 months ago to 8 beautiful, wonderful Heeler puppies. This girl is 2 years old and only 42 pounds.  She is amazingly smart and seems to know exactly what you are saying to her.  We think that Momma Donna would be a perfect addition to a home with children who want to play and teach a dog some good tricks and manners.  She is willing to learn anything. Momma Donna is nicely housebroken and ready for a totally great and new life.  Momma Donna just needs a place to belong.   So, do you have a front porch and a hole in your heart ready to be filled by a loving and devoted dog who wants to walk down the road with you every day?   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in Momma Donna.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Meet our rare and beautiful Jolene, a stunning 3-year-old, 35-pound Red Merle Border Collie with a heart full of joy and a personality that will melt the heart as well! Jolene is playful, friendly, and always eager to greet her favorite people with a low, charming howl. She’s a social butterfly who loves children, adores cuddles, and thrives in the company of other dogs and even cats. This intelligent girl enjoys playing ball and is incredibly responsive to commands. She knows how to sit, stay, come, and heel, and she excels on a leash with the guidance of a strong leader—walking right at your side when told to 'heel.' True to her Border Collie nature, Jolene is a quick learner who seems to understand what you’re thinking before you even say it! While Jolene was house-trained as a puppy, she’s spent most of her recent time outdoors on a farm. She would thrive in a home with a fenced yard but is not suited for a home with chickens or livestock she is tempted to chase.  Her vibrant energy, loyal disposition, and affectionate nature make her the perfect companion for an active family who is ready to give her all the love and attention she deserves.  N We would like to know if a responding and adoptive family has any hurting breed experience in owning a dog. They are uniquely intelligent and training sensitive dogs.  Ready to bring Jolene home? Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application. Let’s find this amazing girl her forever family!
