Story
This stunning guy is Misio, pronounced 'Misho' which is Polish for Teddy Bear. Misio is a 7.5 year old Australian Shepherd who is currently on a diet to get to his ideal weight of about 37 pounds. Misio is looking for a patient and mature household to live the rest of his years. He is working through some trust issues and is learning to let his guard down. But once he knows you are safe, he will be yours forever. Misio likes to be near people but isnt overly cuddly, he is content to be in his own space near you. He'd do best in a home with adults only and no other animals. Misio is still very active and he would love to be your hiking, camping, or running companion! He is very outgoing and loves to chase a ball around the yard. He is also very smart and picks up on training quickly. Misio needs a forever home that can provide him with mental stimulation and a physical outlet. He can be chill in the house, but is also not a couch potato. He is house trained and crate trained and walks well on leash. With a little bit of training, a dash of patience, and a person who will be active with him, Misio will be an amazing companion for years to come! Dogs are not placed on a first- come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Misio, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationNovember 8, 2024, 5:36 am

Story
Kayli came to her foster mom sick and at a very unhealthy weight. After a lengthy nutrition and weight loss program this adorable girl is ready to find her forever home! She was at a point where she could barely walk and now she loves a nice race around the backyard or to fetch her toys for you. She is a supreme cuddle bug and can't get close enough to her people. Tummy rubs might be her favorite thing and if you pet her she will adorably fling herself to the ground to better accommodate you. She loves walks but is also content to just stay home with you, too. She does have a problem with excited barking but she calms down after a short time. She just loves every single person she meets and can't control her excitement at first. She also loves children and children love her but because of her initial excited barking she can sometimes scare them so an initial leash greeting would be best with small children. She loves other dogs but if they get in her face too much she can sometimes be a little snippy. She has done well in her foster home with another older dog and, for a short stint, she had a blast with a big, goofy young boy that was recently adopted. Kayli has a 'cherry eye' (where the tear duct has popped out under the eyelid) that her owner chose not to fix as it doesn't bother her at all, but because of that it has been too long to do anything about it. It doesn't bother her and requires no attention. Would like to meet this cute girl?Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello, world! I’m Gaia Blue—a 31-pound bundle of joy who’s here to brighten your life! My mom says I’m the perfect mix of cuddly and playful, with a heart as big as my smile. They call me a mini Aussie Doodle, but unless we do a DNA test, let’s just stick with “bundle of fur.” I’m estimated to be between 1 and 2 years old.     I’m looking for a loyal family that’s ready to give me plenty of love, attention, and adventure. I dream of long walks, hiking trips, and a yard where I can chase after my favorite ball.    I sleep well in my crate at night, but in the mornings, I love to be close by and keep you company. My ideal home would have someone who’s around a lot—maybe you work from home?—so I can just relax by your side.     I get along great with my foster siblings, who are twice my size at around 70 pounds. I love keeping them in check, especially when they get excited! Because of my herding instincts, my foster mom thinks a home without young kids would be best. But I’d be thrilled to have a furry brother or sister in my new family! I haven’t met any cats yet, but my foster mom believes I’d do well with a dog-savvy feline friend. Ready to make a joyful addition to your family? I’d love to meet you! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Aye Mate! My name is Maverick's Free Spirit Wingman aka Maverick! I am a genuine mini-Aussie shepherd and a growing boy at 6 months old! I weigh 26 pounds and will likely be around 35-40 lbs full grown.   I have lots of puppy energy and I’m a working dog breed, so I need to have lots of exercise and playtime every day! Now that you have been let in on the hard truths, the fun stuff about me is I am so playful and very affectionate. I get along with the four-legged brothers I live with after the initial barking and sniffing. Hey, it’s just who I am.  After a proper introduction, I love having fun with other dogs. Big, small – it’s all the same to me. I am crate trained, house trained, and I am working on basic commands and manners. I am hoping for a family that will continue to work with me and help me become the best boy ever! If you think you are the family for me, fill out an application and lets meet!  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 20, 2024, 3:27 pm

Her foster reports that she is house trained and crate trained. While she would prefer to be with you Ruby has not been destructive or anxious when left free roaming the home. Ruby would do well in a home with another low to medium energy dog, cats, and older dog savvy kids. Story
Evie is a sweet, gentle, quiet, and clever female border collie around 3 to 4 years old. She loves people, but is never overbearing about it. Showing affection for Evie looks like giving soft little kisses or gently resting her head on your feet. Despite her breed, her energy levels are very manageable. As long as she gets out for a good game of fetch or some park time, she is perfectly content to nap for the rest of the day. She absolutely loves to play with other dogs, especially when they let her follow them around so she can 'herd' them but she's never pushy about it! In fact, she is very submissive and seems to get along well with pretty much any dog, even the picky ones. Her foster family has yet to even hear her bark! She was found as a stray in central Utah with one blind eye, and we're not sure how she ended up that way. Despite her history as a stray, she is completely potty trained and blew her foster family away by not having a single accident in the house. She also has perfect manners walking on leash! Evie is quickly adjusting to city life but she still needs some help sometimes with confidence in new situations. She still gets a little nervous getting into cars, but once she is inside she does great and does not make a peep. She is friendly to strangers, but will sometimes need some coaxing to come out and say hi, especially with men. She prefers the safety of her crate or underneath the table until she feels comfortable enough to greet someone new. As long as the newcomer is patient and quiet, she will be their friend in no time- especially if they brush her hair, which she LOVES.Evie is the perfect dog for someone who wants the intelligence, loyalty, and trainability of a border collie without the intense energy commitment. She is a little sensitive to loud noises, and would do best in a quiet home without young kids to stress her out. She would also prefer a home with a yard, as she loves to spend her afternoons just sitting outside. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
