Story
Meet Bob Tail Bear! He is an adorable 10 -12-week-old puppy, and we think he may be an Australian Shepherd / Lab mix; his cute little nub tail gives him some Aussie Character! Watch Bob Tail's video here: * coming soon * Bob Tail Bear is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play and then take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! He loves to play with toys and the bigger dogs in his foster home. He even tries to play with the cranky cat! Bob Tail Bear is still young, so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect for going on walks and hikes or showing off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/675b435ebb4a8292f308c868 Please email michelleboswell@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Lorelei is exactly why rescue is our favorite breed- look at her! She is a perfect mash-up of dog breeds and is uniquely perfect! She is a little-bitty shepherd mix girlie, small in every sense with the softest floof. She is estimated to be 1 year old, barely out of those puppy days. In rescue, age and breed are observations, never guarantees, but it is especially true with Lorelei because few all see a little something different in her unique looks. She has the absolute cutest combination of features with a wonderful personality to match. Take a look and see her for yourself https://youtu.be/Lz-sD3tPTgQ Lorelei was introduced to a variety of dogs and she was friendly and playful with them all, from small to large, the most natural connection being with a similar aged playful dog. Lorelei can initially come across as shy with people but once you spend time with her you realize it is simply her ease. She isn’t bouncy and overwhelming in an effort to make a connection, she is peaceful in your company, no need to be pushy or demanding. She has been fortunate enough to have a loving foster home where she showed her ease with children and a variety of animals from a parrot to a bunny rabbit and another dog. Although she doesn’t live with a cat, she was introduced to one and was just as easy-going. The cat felt so comfortable with her that he didn’t even swat him when she wanted to smell him and he almost immediately laid down near her. She is an ideal addition for a multi-pet home and would especially love a similarly playful dog. Her foster family has shared that she is house and crate trained. We always expect a new dog to need a tour of the appropriate potty spaces once they get home, and maybe a reminder or two but this girl has a wonderful base. Thanks to her size and personality, Lorelei would make a great apartment/condo girlie. Of course if you have a yard, she is ready to explore it and will often be found lounging outside, content to soak up the sun and feel the breeze. If you have any questions about Lorelei or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Be assured though, she is an obviously unique cutie that will be adopted so fast because of that, do not hesitate to make the first move to make it official. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Tucker is the sweetest boy in the world. Luckily, he’s on the market- looking for forever love. He has the softest coat, the dreamiest eyes and an affinity for making his humans laugh. We believe that Tucker is an Australian Shepherd, Lab mix. He has the swooshy tail and soft coat of an Aussie, with slightly shorter fur and a silly personality that makes us lean toward “Lab mix.” We estimate his age to be around 3 years old, and he weighs in around 50 pounds. Tucker is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Fall in love with Tucker here: https://youtu.be/2jgb3I5yMcQ?si=8tfHlt52aYxjiIxn Tucker has been fostered in a home with other dogs, and foster parents that love him deeply. Through their care, and their notes, we know that he’s great with men, women, and other dogs. He likes to snuggle with his foster parents, gives gentle licks, and they report that he’s potty-trained, crate-trained and good in the car. Tucker’s foster mom says that she loves him because “he’s funny, he’s silly.” He likes belly rubs and chest scratches, he has a sweet little smile and loves to do goofy things to make his humans laugh. He’ll hide behind the curtain, zoom around the backyard, or make a funny face. He’s very, very affectionate with his humans, but not overly pushy about it. With other dogs, Tucker is just as affectionate. You can find Tucker curled up on the couch in a snuggle with his foster siblings more often than not. Tucker shares toys well with his foster siblings, and likes to play chase with them. When he meets a new dog, he can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up very quickly and will initiate play. He’s done well with dogs as small as thirty pounds, and lives with puppies. We think Tucker would do best in a home with other dogs to keep him company. Here at the rescue, Tucker was cat-tested, and we believe him to be cat-tolerant. He could live with dog-savvy kitties. Tucker loves his toys too, especially squeaky toys. He loves treats, and takes them gently. His kindly asks that you stock up on jerky in anticipation of his arrival. Tucker is ready to be your best friend (and your dog’s best friend!) Tucker could live with other dogs, and/or dog-savvy kitties. He’s a perfect match for any animal-lover looking to be adored. We are willing to test Tucker with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Well hello there! The name is Reginald and I'm looking for my forever home. I'm about 9 months old and 20 lbs and I may not get much bigger (my foster mom thinks 30 to 40 lbs at most). As an Australian Shepherd mix some may think I'm full of energy but I'm a pretty chill guy. Don't get me wrong I love going on walks, playing fetch, and fun things like that. But I'm also happy to relax while chewing on a bone or cuddling with my person. I love humans and other dogs but sometimes I get a little scared so I may need some time to warm up. My crate is my safe place and I am happy to spend some time there. When it comes to kids I would do better with older ones. If I see younger kids running around my breed's instincts kick in and I want to herd them. My foster mom says as long as I’m on a consistent schedule and am let out after eating I won’t have any potty accidents in the house. It would also be nice if my new person helped me with some basic commands - I know sit and come but would like to work on some of the other ones. Some more fun things about me: my favorite color is red, pouncing on toys is really fun, and I walk well on a leash. Basically I’m just a cute guy looking for a great family to be in. If I sound like the dog for you apply to meet me at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication . Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2024, 12:33 pm

Story
A more playful and loving puppy would be hard to find! Curious about everything and gentle, Dorothy is everything a puppy should be. "Dottie" was removed from a dangerous situation into the safety of rescue. Now, she needs a forever family to give her that safe and loving place to spend the rest of her life. Her house training is coming along nicely but there will still be some training for the new family to do. Dottie will need to learn some "good dog" manners.
