Story
Meet Bob Tail Bear! He is an adorable 10 -12-week-old puppy, and we think he may be an Australian Shepherd / Lab mix; his cute little nub tail gives him some Aussie Character! Watch Bob Tail's video here: https://youtube.com/shorts/5qAQLi6PATk?si=MrHsdHAMO1F1eR7U Bob Tail Bear is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play and then take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! He loves to play with toys and the bigger dogs in his foster home. He even tries to play with the cranky cat! Bob Tail Bear is still young, so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect for going on walks and hikes or showing off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/675b435ebb4a8292f308c868 Please email michelleboswell@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Glenda the good- the good girl! This sweet girl leads with her heart, she adores people and you can see it the moment you meet her. If you are seeking a calm, easy-going dog, who couldn’t even comprehend the idea of chaos…look no further. Glenda’s entire being exudes gentle and calm, warm and adoring. You can see it here - https://youtu.be/QikLSrW9iUc One of my favorite things about Glenda is how peaceful her presence is, she is the kind of company that feels familiar from that start. Her looks and personality lead us to believe she is a shepherd/collie/husky mix and we estimate her to be 3 years old. Breed and age are details we cannot offer 100% certainty on given the nature of rescue but some of her ease surely comes from being past the of her puppy/pre-teen years. We have introduced Glenda to dogs of all different personalities and sizes to gauge her playfulness and the type of dog she enjoys most. It was easy to see that Glenda is dog friendly, feels comfortable in the company of dogs, and gravitates to calmer, playful dogs that enjoy a game of chase as much as a chance to lay in the grass. If you are looking to match-make your current dog, Glenda is perfectly suited to be the +1 for a dog who enjoys calm companionship and doesn’t need a constant playmate . Glenda would be best suited for a house with a yard and even better would be a quiet little piece of home in the country. She has great basic leash skills, walking with an easy pace and passing dogs calmly, she will need a little guidance building her confidence in busier environments if that will be a regular part of your life together. A calm home with a pretty regular routine would be where she would thrive. She’s not a fan of overly busy environments, but will thrive where she can build trust and feel safe. Glenda’s affectionate and easy-going personality make her a joy to be around.. Whether she’s lounging with her people or playing with a canine friend, Glenda is ready to slip right into your routine and will only add to the warmth and safety of a loving home. Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Ready to apply? https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/675086e53d362c0ba005efe8 We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet Luna! She is currently 40 pounds, 6 months old, and we think she may be a Shepherd mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! Watch Luna’s video here: This striking puppy is simply gorgeous. Not only does lovable Luna have an unusual black and white marking pattern, we also love her freckles! She has black freckles in her white fur, and beautiful freckles on her soft belly too. (You’ll see this often because this lovable girl will roll over at a moment’s notice and offer up her belly for pets and rubs.) Luna also really enjoys head scratches, and will lean into your hand to encourage you and assure you that you are doing a good job. Watch out tho, because she will relax entirely from the head scratches, and you will end up holding her up, lol. (We love this about her – she does everything with her whole heart and complete trust.) But perhaps the best thing about Luna, other than her high squish-level on the squish meter (a real thing that we didn’t just make up), is her unmistakable yet adorable underbite. Luna is a very relaxed and happy puppy, and you will see her smile a lot. Her underbite, especially the two bottom teeth that seem to protrude the most, will tickle your funny bone and make you chuckle and smile. We could honestly stare at this amazing girl all day! Luna is treat- and food-motivated, so we are sure that training will be that much easier. She is very clever and will quickly figure out exactly which pocket you keep your treats in, lol. We are excited to see all the commands and tricks this smart and charming girl will learn. Luna is in a loving foster home with several other dogs (see her brother Marley Pup Cup if you can stand the gorgeousness overload). Luna's foster mum reports that clever Luna is already crate and potty trained! Luna is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey friends, my name is Brothah Iz. I'm a 10-month old ball of scruff. I've got one eye which only adds to the cuteness (I'm constantly winking! ) And don't you worry, having one eye definitely doesn't slow me down. I still live life to the fullest. I just need someone to help guide me through it now.   I'm said to be an Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix. Not totally sure that's true, tho! I weigh 39lbs and my foster mom thinks I'm about full grown. I could fill out a little more but she doesn't think I'll get any taller. I'm the perfect size for all your adventures. Speaking of adventures, I would love a family that will take me on walks, hikes and help me focus my puppy energy for good. My foster mom says I've gotten really pretty good at walking on a leash. I tend to pull a bit in the beginning but I settle in nicely. I'm completely potty trained and have never had an accident in the house or my crate. I'm also crate trained. I don't always love going in my crate but I'm happy to for a treat. Treats? I'm VERY treat motivated, so training me would be a breeze. I'm a smart boy that wants to please. I currently live with 4 young foster siblings and we get along great, but my foster mom says that I might not be the best fit for every household with littles. Being a puppy, I still have some puppy behaviors that I'm working on, but I'm doing better everyday.   I get along with dog savvy cats and other dogs. I'm a pretty confident pup and could do well in a home with or without other dogs. Slow introductions would be best. I absolutely love my dog toys. Chasing balls are so fun but I'm still learning to return them. I would love for my new home to have all the toys. I would be one happy pup.   I'm a sweet and quirky boy that just wants to be loved. Could you be the family to help me be the bestest boy?
