Story
I may be a senior dog, but my heart is as big as they come. I've had quite a journey, and I'm on the lookout for a special person who can understand and appreciate my unique personality. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit lazy and goofy, and I love nothing more than lounging around and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. But there's more to me than meets the eye. I have a natural protective instinct, and sometimes I can be a little fearful, which is why I need someone confident and strong to guide me. I've had some training at Dog Tales, and I'm ready to put it into practice with a patient and dedicated owner. I need someone who can provide constant guidance and use the training we've learned on a daily basis. With the right structure and routine, I can flourish. When it comes to meeting new people, I need slow and controlled introductions, and I'll wear a muzzle for everyone's safety. It's not because I'm mean; it's just my way of saying that I need time to feel comfortable and secure. Once I'm comfortable with someone, I'm a whole different dog. I'm affectionate, playful, and fiercely loyal. If you give me the time and space I need to trust you, you'll see just how loving and charming I can be. If you're a confident and experienced dog owner looking for a big-hearted companion who just needs a little extra care and attention, I might be the perfect match for you. Together, we can navigate life's ups and downs and create a bond that's truly special.

Meet Teddy, a lovable 9-month-old Australian Shepherd Mastiff mix with a heart full of joy and a tail that never stops wagging. This wiggly, happy boy was surrendered through no fault of his own and is now eagerly searching for his forever home. Teddy is still young and will benefit from continued training and socialization to help him become the best dog he can be.Teddy previously lived with a cat but did have a tendency to chase it, so a home without cats might be best. He seems to enjoy the company of other dogs and may thrive with a friendly canine companion. We are happy to arrange a meet and greet to ensure he gets along well with any potential doggie siblings. If you`re looking for a loyal, energetic, and affectionate dog to join your family, Teddy might be the perfect match for you!

PLEASE READ LEILA’S BIO IN DETAIL TO ENSURE THAST SHE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR YOU AND YOUR LIFESTYLE BEORE APPLYING. PEASE NOTE: LEILA IS BEING FOSTERED IN THE OTTAWA, ON AREA We at All Paws Matter believe in the benefits of post-adoption training for our dogs and their families. This allows for continued socialization, learning and helps to create a well-mannered and balanced dog. This is now a requirement in our adoption process. Proof of training classes for puppies specifically is required before adoption. NAME: Leila Age: 2.5 years Breed: Mexi-Mix Sex: Female Weight: Approx 35 lbs Location: Ottawa, ON Adoption fee: $600.00 Spayed/Neutered: Yes Leash trained: Work in progress House trained: Yes Kids/Cats/Dogs: Children 6+, dog savvy cats, yes great with dogs Vetting: Up to date on all vaccination, sterilized, microchipped, 4dx tested: negative for Heart worm. Currently on flea/tick/heart worm prevention, dewormed and vet checked before arriving. Medical Issues: NONE Comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance (after initial vet visit) This girl has a spunky little attitude, she is learning how to play and has a cute little bounce that makes you giggle every time. She has conquered the commands such as sit, lay down and her foster mom is currently working on the stay command. This little lady does have energy and a happy little bark so a back yard so she can play and free poop ( she prefers to poop off leash ) would be great for her. Children 6 and over would be best as she can be a little playful and we wouldn't want a little one pushed over.   She does have cues to tell you when she needs to go outside but if you miss them she may have the odd accident. She is good in her crate and travels well!  She is a puller on leash which her foster mom is working on and she does get very interested In the squirrels around her home and would chase given the opportunity. She is quite stunning and everyone who see's her mentions it but she picks a person and bonds quickly. She is good with being brushed and will need it with the beautiful coat she has. Dog savy cats would be fine but if they run she would chase but does correct well.  Leila really has a zest for life and would love her very own person to go on some cool adventures with. If you feel you would be the right fit for Leila, please fill out an adoption application at https://www.allpawsmatter.ca/apply-to-adopt/ All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, Heart worm (4dx snap) tested and arrive with a health certificate. They come to adopter with a harness, a collar and two leashes for safety. NOTE: The above description is relevant to this dog in its current and previous setting. Home changes and adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen. We also do not claim or suggest that our dogs are hypo-allergenic or that they shed/do not shed. BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!
