Story
Is he stunning? Yes, he is. Is he smart? Yes he is. Is he a silly, goofy ball of big energy? Yes he is. Can he be yours? Yes, he can! Aragon is a younger adult Aussie mix who has the coat of a lion and the heart of a clown with LOTS of energy! Aragon is an adult who weighs about 50 lbs, maybe a third of which is his hair. Aragon absolutely is an example of his breed with high energy and a strong drive to play, learn and do. He is the kind of guy that would love some adventuring pawrents, lots of walks and hikes and would likely be a fab jogging partner as well! He is not likely a good match for apartment living and would much prefer places to run and roam. He does well with other dogs and has preferred those who play hard like he does. Aragon is ready to be your fuzzy bear and exercise partner all rolled up into one.

Story
Campbell is a fun-loving, active pup who’s happiest when he’s outside soaking up the sunshine and zooming around with his toys. He especially enjoys a good game of chase with his canine buddies and has proven to be a social butterfly—getting along well with dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. This affectionate boy is a total “hugger” and loves greeting his people by standing up on his back legs and wrapping himself around you for a big cuddle. If you sit on the floor, be prepared—Campbell will happily climb right into your lap for belly rubs and attention, which he absolutely adores. Campbell is doing well with his manners and is currently working on leash skills. He tends to do best on walks when it’s just one-on-one, as extra doggy distractions can make it harder for him to focus. True to his breed, he has an impressive “deer-dar” and seems to notice critters at any hour—always keeping a curious eye (and nose) on his surroundings! For an Aussie, Campbell has shown himself to be quite well-mannered. He sleeps quietly in his crate through the night and appears to be house trained. He can be a bit nervous in the car and may look for ways to keep himself occupied, so having toys or chews on hand helps him settle in. Campbell will let you know when he needs to go outside and may join in if other dogs start barking, but he’s otherwise not overly vocal. He may have a touch of anxious energy, so a home that can provide plenty of enrichment, structure, and things to keep his mind busy will help him thrive. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, it’s unclear how he would do as a solo pup. He may benefit from a canine companion or an adopter who can provide lots of engagement and reassurance. With his affectionate nature, playful spirit, and loving personality, Campbell is sure to make a wonderful addition to the right home.

Story
(10/04/2024) Chesney is a cheerful guy and happy to participate in any fun, family daily activities. He would be very happy to join a family with another playful dog(s), kids that want to play fetch, or even a home with cats!!! Due to his playful exuberance, older kids are recommended to ensure everyone has a great time together. Chesney has "passed" his cat test and would be ok joining a family with kitties in their home. Chesney is a young, energetic dog with a heart full of enthusiasm and a love for the great outdoors. He's incredibly athletic and thrives on playing fetch and chasing after balls; he's always ready for his next adventure! Chesney is super friendly, eager to please his people, and loves being part of the action. He's food-motivated and responds well to praise, making training a fun and rewarding experience. While he's crate trained, Chesney isn't a big fan of the crate. With a little continued practice, he's sure to become even more confident on walks. Chesney would flourish in a home with a young, active family, especially one where someone works from home or can provide daycare to keep him happily busy. If you're looking for a lively, affectionate companion who will keep you on your toes and bring endless joy to your home, Chesney might just be your perfect match! As part of Chesney’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Chesney, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2392608##

Story
Meet Seven.Yes, that Seven. The internet can argue about 6 / 7 all it wants. He is very confidently Seven. Seven came to Perfectly Imperfect Pups with vision and hearing challenges, but if you watched him for a few minutes, you might question that entirely. The vet believes he has limited sight and hearing, yet he navigates the house with ease, follows the other dogs confidently, and is surprisingly aware of his surroundings. We suspect he can see and hear a bit, because he responds to movement, tracks the pack, and rarely bumps into anything. What stands out most is not what Seven cannot do, but how much he can do. He is incredibly smart, curious, and wonderfully goofy. He loves exploring, figuring things out, and following the other dogs’ lead, especially when it is time to head outside. He is now about 95% house trained and continues to improve every day. Seven is also a major snuggler. He bonds quickly with his people and loves being close. At night, he sleeps very well in a crate as long as it is near his person, and he settles nicely. During the day he can relax in a crate for a few hours, though he does best in a home where someone is around more often, works from home, or can come home at lunch, since he gets a little anxious if left too long. He absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from them. Having a friendly dog buddy in the home would likely help him continue to thrive. He is also starting to walk nicely on a leash and is enjoying learning about the world one step at a time. If you did not know Seven had vision and hearing challenges, you likely would not notice. He simply approaches life in his own thoughtful, adorable way. Seven is going to make an exceptional family member for someone ready to love a dog who may do things a little differently — and wonderfully so. Perfectly Imperfect, just as he is meant to be. pipsrescue.org/adopt ##2640231##

Story
Meet Phoenix Wright! Phoenix is a happy, playful, active Australian Shepherd mix puppy. Phoenix is part of a large, accidental litter that was born in a home and socialized early. Though we have been told that the parents are Australian Shepherds, we cannot guarantee a breed or adult size. Phoenix and the rest of his litter are very stereotypical Aussies though! Phoenix is a big boy for his age--bigger than his sister, for sure! He may be on the larger size when fully grown. He is being fostered with one of his sisters, Maya Fey (Fey). They play hard in a fenced yard, then sleep hard on the patio furniture or in their crate. Phoenix loves playing with toys and playmates, snuggling with people or dogs, and discovering the outside world. He currently lives with other dogs and older children and does fine with all of them. So far he has only been vocal when playing, however we cannot guarantee his suitability for an apartment. Phoenix is a typical Aussie mix puppy: smart, social, playful, and energetic! His ideal home would provide patience and consistency in his training so he can be his best self, and would provide activity and stimulation. He could live with another dog or as an only dog who gets to play with dog friends regularly. Phoenix is a happy, sweet boy who would love to play and snuggle with his people!

Story
*Please note, Rosie will be adopted with her Brother in the pic above (Angus). They love each other, I would not consider a separate adoption* We met Angus and Rosie when they were left outside a gas station in a cardboard box, she is 8 this year. She is an absolute sweetheart, very loving and gentle, loves to sunbathe outside during the day when its nice and loves the couch too, she is chilled and not a barker, unless her brother barks-she will join in. The siblings are close and hang together all of the time. She has a lot of space to run around currently, and likes to play ball and run with her brother. We throw 2 balls that are tethered so that they can fetch together. She also likes to go in walks, but is generally happy in and around our yard. She is potty trained, she loves snacks and loves being around the family, she is great with the grandkids but when she has had enough she will go and hide for a bit. She doesn't like storms and needs extra hugs when there is one.

Story
*Please note Angus will be rehomed with his sister Rosie(In the pic), We wont consider separate adoptions. We found Angus and his sister in a box outside a gas station as a puppy, he is 8 this year. He is a lovely active dog who likes to be with his sister, he is obedient, gentle and loving. He likes to go on walks but also really enjoys our fenced in large yard where he can watch the birds and run after them. He loves to play ball outside, but also loves naps with his sister on the couch. He will bark whenever anyone comes over, but settles quickly, he is friendly and loves kids and other dogs. He is potty trained.
