Story
MJ is a sweet Mini Aussie, he was my mom’s dog and she recently passed away due to cancer. He is energetic and loves to play and would probably thrive with an active owner or someone with a yard for him to run. He loves to cuddle and is friendly to everyone. He has never shown signs of aggression or food aggression. He is 3-4 years old and is neutered. He would make a great addition to anyone family.

Story
Dog Day Out, 7/27/24:Rocky was great today. He is a super friendly and sweet dog. I had initially wanted to see how he would do in a more relaxed environment instead of just taking him on a hike. Let me start by saying that Rocky is one of the sweetest dogs I`ve been around. He`s super relaxed once we gets to know you and you`ll notice a demeanor change once he`s warmed up to you! He`s a huge snuggle bug and was perfectly content with laying on my wood floor while I laid on the sofa. We had some lunch and Rocky did not beg and went to lay down, not paying much mind to the food we had. He is super sweet and he walks okay on the leash but there`s room for improvement. I would adopt this dog if my family member was not allergic. He is great! Foster notes, 6/1/24:Rocky is such a sweet pup! It definitely took him some time to come out of his shell and warm up to everyone. It took him longer to get comfortable with my husband than myself. He has been great with our 3 and 6 year old kids--he`s not bothered by them at all. A weird thing we learned is that he can walk UP stairs, but he is afraid to walk back DOWN them... It`s possible that this is because our stairs are narrow and hardwood, but he wouldn`t go near them and eventually had to be carried down. He`s very laid back about eating--just sort of grazes and has no food aggression. He lets you know when he needs to go out to potty. Mostly he follows me from room to room and just lays near wherever I am. He doesn`t bark at all, is very relaxed, but always seems down for an outing! At first, he didn`t seem to know any commands or even respond very well to his name. But once he got more comfortable and I got some treats, he seemed to know the drill. I haven`t tried to do too many commands, but we are going to keep working on it. He walks well on a leash. He doesn`t pull at all, but I don`t think he has a lot of practice with it because he doesn`t have leash awareness--he walks on the opposite side of poles or wraps himself or others up, etc. We have just been doing a once a day around the block walk and will hopefully get better. We left him home alone for just an hour and a half so far and he did fine. He wasn`t happy about us leaving, but didn`t bark or whine. When we got back, he was laying right by the door and nothing was chewed and no accidents. He REALLY doesn`t seem to like water. We wanted to give him a bath and he was not having it, lol!Foster notes, 4/30/24:Rocky is

Story
Benson is an extra gentle, extremely lovable pup. Benson’s biggest hurdle is getting over his fear of abandonment. He gets very lonely and sad when he is left alone for more than a couple hours at a time. 3-4 hrs seems to be the longest he can handle being alone. Crate training with Petey has not proved successful in the past. He would thrive best in a home with a person(s) who is retired, works from home or could send him to doggie daycare daily. He absolutely loves doggie daycare!. He done well with all the dogs he meets, people big and small. With dog savvy cats that don’t run when chased he does much better with. He is house-trained, excellent on a leash and very calm and chill inside the house. Outside he love to run loose and play. Fenced in yard is a must to adopt Peter!
