You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All dogs on our website ARE available and require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application. The application can be found on this link or by visiting our website at bfpa.org.   https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC.  FOSTER COMMENTS: Meet 2-year-old Kobe. He is full grown and about 53 pounds.   Kobe is one of the most well-mannered dogs I've fostered.  Kobe is totally housebroken. Since I work from home, I let him out often.  Kobe would do fine if his new family worked away from the home and he was alone (or with another dog) during a normal work day.   He would do well in a home with another dog or as an only dog as he is affectionate and loves to be petted. Kobe gets anxious in his crate.  I've slowly worked him up from being crated to being left alone in a room a couple hours with my dog in the same room and he's done very well.  His manners are good, so he does not need the crate while unattended. Kobe is very friendly.  He has a tendency to try and jump on people he meets but he is super well behaved afterwards. For strangers walking up, he has a big bark but he's totally a teddy bear. He has not been around children, but I imagine it would be the same as adults, and he may need some supervision at first so he doesn't get too excited and jump. He has very good manners. Kobe gets along well with my dog.  They play well together.  He loves to trot around the yard and find a shady spot to lay down on and chill.   He can get spurts of zoomies but seems very content to just chill unless another dog wants to play with him. I don't think he needs a fenced in yard in his new home, but I'm sure he'd be happier with it. He will probably do fine with just leashed walks.  He is leash trained, he loves to walk, and he walks really well on the leash.  Kobe is a good watch dog.   He is usually very quiet unless he senses movement outside of the door or house. When he's out in the yard, passersby will get an earful too.  He would probably do better in a single-family house than an apartment because the noise from neighbors may cause him to bark. Kobe is just a big fluffy teddy bear and loves to get petted and will gladly roll over for chest and belly rubs as well. You can just tell he's very intelligent and understands what you are telling him and needs very little correction.  He also has doggie manners and does very well on introductions and invitations to play. Anyone who ends up adopting Kobe will be in for a treat! Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC. Name / Breed  / Age: Hagen, Australian Shepard, Puppy Personality Traits: Loving, playful, active, cuddly, eager to learn. Likes: Rolling and playing with kids and other dogs, cuddling with humans, playing in water, and spending time outdoors. No dislikes that we are aware of! Health and Behavior History: Housebroken, crate trained, enjoys being around humans, especially in active environments. A recent beach trip revealed a love for water. The name Hagen has multiple definitions depending on its origin, but for him it was chosen because it means heart. Hagen loves to roll and play with kids and other dogs of all sizes. He is house broken and crate trained, but loves hanging with his humans the most.  He would do well in an active environment but at the same time he sure does love to cuddle. Hagen recently took a trip to the beach with his foster family where they discovered his absolute love for water. He plays in a small doggie pool at home, but when he experienced the sound he was ready to jump in and swim! Hagen is ready to learn and grow into a loving and loyal member of your family. Please reach out to us today if you're ready to open YOUR heart and home to this loving pup. Don't miss the chance to welcome this happy boy into your life – adopt Hagen today! ##1938383##
