URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Lenoir, NC Meet Ranger! He is an 1 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs between 50-60 lbs. He isn’t neutered, up to date on shots, or on heartworm prevention. Ranger is nervous around strangers! No children, cats, or dogs, due to his reactivity! Ranger is housebroken and crate-trained. He came from an abusive household in his previous home. The current owner is surrendering him because he is aggressive towards her other dogs. He needs to go immediately! If you think you can provide a great home for Ranger, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Ranger. Owner’s Contact Information: Whitney at whitneylee00@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Sadie, a loving and lively 11-year-old Australian Shepherd ready for her next adventure! Originally a Mississippi farm pup, she’s called Western North Carolina home her whole life. Sadie adores her small circle of humans and has fun at doggie daycare, but she can be vocal around strangers and other dogs, so she’d thrive with owners who understand her unique Aussie personality. Her herding instincts mean she’d do best in a home without small children, and she’d love a family with experience handling reactive dogs or open to training. Ideally, she’d be in a multi-person household to spread her love and not bond too closely with just one person. Sadie has a mild heart murmur, but it doesn’t slow her down—she’s full of energy and ready to fill your days with joy. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, Sadie might just be your perfect match!

Story
Valley Girl. This little girl is the sweetest. Initially found as a stray, Valley was facing euthanasia as she was so scared in the shelter environment. You ought to see her run and play with the other dogs now! Valley may be shy initially but once you've earned her trust, she's a joyful, happy, funny, silly, sweet affectionate pup. Potential adopters will need to come and spend time with her on multiple occasions, but it will be so worth it. All it takes is a little patience to reap her as your incredible reward. Valley loves other dogs and is good with cats. She does need a fenced-in yard as although she loves to explore on quiet wooded trails, she thrives in a well-known, stable environment. Valley is approximately 4 yrs. old and 35 lbs. She's the perfect sized pooch! Want more info on Valley Girl? We don't blame you a bit. Don't call! Go to: www.AlmostHomeDogRescueNC.com to submit your no-cost/ no-obligation adoption application. An Adoption Coach will then reach out by phone to tell you all about this special girl.
