Story
Dog Day Out, 7/27/24:Rocky was great today. He is a super friendly and sweet dog. I had initially wanted to see how he would do in a more relaxed environment instead of just taking him on a hike. Let me start by saying that Rocky is one of the sweetest dogs I`ve been around. He`s super relaxed once we gets to know you and you`ll notice a demeanor change once he`s warmed up to you! He`s a huge snuggle bug and was perfectly content with laying on my wood floor while I laid on the sofa. We had some lunch and Rocky did not beg and went to lay down, not paying much mind to the food we had. He is super sweet and he walks okay on the leash but there`s room for improvement. I would adopt this dog if my family member was not allergic. He is great! Foster notes, 6/1/24:Rocky is such a sweet pup! It definitely took him some time to come out of his shell and warm up to everyone. It took him longer to get comfortable with my husband than myself. He has been great with our 3 and 6 year old kids--he`s not bothered by them at all. A weird thing we learned is that he can walk UP stairs, but he is afraid to walk back DOWN them... It`s possible that this is because our stairs are narrow and hardwood, but he wouldn`t go near them and eventually had to be carried down. He`s very laid back about eating--just sort of grazes and has no food aggression. He lets you know when he needs to go out to potty. Mostly he follows me from room to room and just lays near wherever I am. He doesn`t bark at all, is very relaxed, but always seems down for an outing! At first, he didn`t seem to know any commands or even respond very well to his name. But once he got more comfortable and I got some treats, he seemed to know the drill. I haven`t tried to do too many commands, but we are going to keep working on it. He walks well on a leash. He doesn`t pull at all, but I don`t think he has a lot of practice with it because he doesn`t have leash awareness--he walks on the opposite side of poles or wraps himself or others up, etc. We have just been doing a once a day around the block walk and will hopefully get better. We left him home alone for just an hour and a half so far and he did fine. He wasn`t happy about us leaving, but didn`t bark or whine. When we got back, he was laying right by the door and nothing was chewed and no accidents. He REALLY doesn`t seem to like water. We wanted to give him a bath and he was not having it, lol!Foster notes, 4/30/24:Rocky is

Mia is being fostered by me for now and is a sweet, smart girl. Here she wrote: I need a job. I behave and I know commands but I need lots of activity. A job is the answer for me. I am a mini Aussie/Lab mix, love humans and dogs. Never seen a cat so I don’t know what they are. I also love water, love to run and occasionally try to herd other animals. I need someone with a big yard and/or time to work with me. I know I would be good with agility training and you should see me dribble a ball. I could be the next Ronaldo! I have tons of potential so please give me a chance and work with me. I won’t disappoint!

Story
Hello all! This is Snoopy and what a handsome guy he is. Snoopy is a fun, energetic and super smart dog looking for his new forever home. Snoopy is very treat motivated, so training for him should be a breeze (he already has some commands down pat)! As you may can tell, he has two different eye colors (heterochromia) but this is completely normal for his coat color and does not affect his vision whatsoever. Snoopy is also a herding breed of dog and because of this, he can sometimes get carried away with his natural `herding instinct`. Due to this, we do recommend that Snoopy goes into a home with older children and with a family that is familiar with his breed and their specific tendencies. As always we recommend slow and monitored introductions between Snoopy and any other animals or people in the home over a period of time.

Story
Peter is an extra gentle, extremely lovable pup. Petey’s biggest hurdle is getting her his fear of abandonment. He gets very lonely and sad when he is left alone for more than a couple hours at a time. 3-4 hrs seems to be the longest he can handle being alone. Crate training with Petey has not proved successful in the past. He would thrive best in a home with a person(s) who is retired, works from home or could send him to doggie daycare daily. He absolutely loves doggie daycare!. He done well with all the dogs he meets, people big and small. With dog savvy cats that don’t run when chased he does much better with. But Pete would be best in a home with no cats unless you are ready to spend the time for slow and proper introductions. He is house-trained, excellent on a leash and very calm and chill inside the house. Outside he love to run loose and play. Fenced in yard is a must to adopt Peter!

Story
Winslow is 10 months old medium sized floofy boy! Hi there, I'm Winslow! I'm a young pup full of fun and love. I'm always ready for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard. I am a herding breed of some type, because well I herd. Id love a farm or a doggie friend to stay active I had a rough start to life wiht an owner who left my puppy collar on and it grew into my neck. New things used to make me a bit nervous, but I am overcoming that and my silly side is emerging. I am bit goofy and playful, which makes everyone around me laugh. I'm also smart and quick to learn new tricks.I love to take walks now and I am so good with other dogs rescue mommy has me working testing the new dogs coming into rescue. I'm loyal and friendly, always ready to make new friends. Adopting me means gaining a funny, loyal, and energetic companion who will always be there for you! All our dogs/cats are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, on preventions, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Story
A few years ago,I purchased this dog from a reputable breeder when I was separated from my husband. We reunited a few years ago and now have two toddlers and another one on the way. Kaylee has always been a very loving and loyal dog. However, with each child introduction, she has proved she is not a fan of being around small children. Whoever takes her in and shows her love will have a friend for the rest of her life.
