Story
Meet Turquoise Boy, the canine version of a fine wine that’s only getting better with age! Born as a pure white fluffball, this little guy is now sporting a sprinkle of adorable freckles – talk about a glow-up! He’ll be 8 weeks old on January 18th, and we can’t wait to see what other surprises he has in store. This affectionate puppy is basically a furry heartthrob, always ready to cuddle and shower you with love. If you’re in need of a personal snuggle buddy, look no further! With a mom who tips the scales at about 40 pounds, we’re betting Turquoise Boy might just be a future heavyweight champion of the doggie world, potentially surpassing 60 pounds once he’s all grown up. We’re taking applications right now, but let’s be real—he won't be available for adoption until he’s 8 weeks old. So, if you want to secure your spot in the lineup for the cutest cuddle muffin on the block, don’t wait too long! This charming pup is ready to win hearts – and maybe a spot on your couch! If you're interested in meeting Turquoise Boy, come to our adoption event on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am-2pm, located at 6300 San Mateo NE in the south Sprouts parking lot. Alternatively, we can arrange a Private Meet-and-Greet with the foster parent and your household with a completed application. Complete an easy, no-obligation online application and take the first step towards welcoming Turquoise Boy into your home by clicking on this link https://form.jotform.com/222028369049155 The adoption fee covers all vaccines, spay, microchip, and heartworm/tick-borne illness testing.

Story
Introducing Jet! He's got a face that could stop traffic—seriously, people have been known to pull over just to admire his teddy bear charm. With silky, jet-black, wavy fur that seems to be auditioning for a shampoo commercial, he's a walking billboard for "How to Be Fabulous." Jet has a personality so regal that if he had a crown, he’d probably appoint himself “King of the Couch.” His daily schedule includes mandatory puppy-pile nap sessions, where he can often be found snoozing like a tiny tyrant among his subjects. And trust us, his Foster Mommy can't resist his royal demands for belly rubs and treats. We think Jet's going to be a big guy—over 60 pounds of pure love and occasionally accidental toe-stepping. With a laid-back approach to life, he’s always ready to see what new forms of fun he can get into—whether that's chasing his own tail or plotting world domination, one treat at a time. So if you're ready for a furry friend who’s part teddy bear, part king, and all heart, Jet is your guy! If you're interested in meeting Jet, come to our adoption event on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am-2pm, located at 6300 San Mateo NE in the south Sprouts parking lot. Story
Luke is curious and active. He likes attention and belly rubs. He is super sweet and loyal but needs some training to socialize with other dogs. He is approximately 1yr and 9 months old. He started with me as a foster along with one of his litter mates and I thought I would be able to keep them. It has turned out that I do not have the time to give him the attention he deserves and be consistent about giving him the training that will help him thrive. He is very responsive to training. He loves to run, likes squeaky and hide and seek toys, and has started learning how to play ball but is not super good at it yet. I do not know what shots he has had since I never got the paperwork from the agency that I was fostering him through. If I need to take care of some of these things in order for him to have a good home I am willing to negotiate doing so.

Story
Notes from a volunteer dog walker:Lil Bud is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd mix , a very handsome nicely sized dog. He was easily leashed from his kennel, a little shy at first, and walked nicely to the play yard. He was friendly through the fence with dog Kiki and playful with dog Prometheus. Lil Bud came up for attention and petting, sitting and taking treats nicely. He is a ‘Dances with Wolves’ kinda guy dancing around, picking up toys. Lil Bud is delightful, sweet and a fun dog!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. How to Adopt This Sweet Special Needs Aussie boy is patiently waiting for special home. Snoopy is deaf, so he needs a home that can help him learn sign language and basic skills. He is only 7 months old and weighs about 30 pounds. He will sit for you, sleeps well in a crate for 5-6 hours. He uses the doggie door politely with the other dogs. Snoopy currently lives with 6 other dogs and is doing well with all but the cranky senior. He is just too much for the senior and since he doesn’t hear, it is more difficult for our senior boy to give an appropriate response without getting too upset. Snoopy needs a calmer home. He plays very well with the smaller dog his size and they do Aussie Play for hours. He likes balls and benebones. Snoopy is neutered and up to date on shots and has 5 months of heartworm preventative. He must go to a most wonderful home, so we will need references. Please call Shirley at 575-491-9577 if you are interested. We will try to watch for comments, however, a message, text or call would be best.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 20, 2025, 10:52 am

Story
🎾Remy🎾 Remy has been through an eight week training course. He knows sit, down, stay (although that one is hard for him!), and he walks nicely on a leash. He has great manners when out of the house and loves everyone he meets. He is young and playful so would enjoy another playful dog companion. Remy is ok with cats but does like to play with them so they may not like him. He occasionally has accidents in the house, but is pretty good about going outside. I’ve taught him how to ring a bell when he wants to go outside and he does, but he also uses it as a tug of war toy. He would thrive in an active family who loves the outdoors. He is definitely a sweet natured boy who will make a great addition to any family
