Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Jinhee🩷 Jinhee came to Korean City Shelter long ago(2019) after being abandoned by a foreign worker who had initially raised her. Initially fearful of human touch, Jinhee was even on the euthanasia list. However, she gradually opened up and soon became rescue-ready. Thanks to the patient foster parent, Jinhee now plays and jokes with trusted humans! She has become brighter and more sociable, receiving compliments from those around her. * Interaction with Humans: Jinhee feels more comfortable around people who move quietly and speak softly rather than those who are loud. She approaches and kisses those who approach quietly. * Compatibility with Other Dogs: While she’s wary of overly assertive dogs, Jinhee will exchange greetings with well-mannered, slow-approaching dog friends! * Reaction to Cats: She doesn’t react strongly to cats encountered during walks. *Separation Anxiety: She's a little dependent on people. She shows anxiety going back and forth when she's alone. * Potty Training: She uses pee pads well! She prefers outdoor paddy, but can indoor potty well after ongoing training. * Hygiene Care: Jinhee enjoys being brushed and patiently endures baths. * Walking: She’s excellent at walking! However, she’s a bit scared of the sound of electric bug zappers during summer walks. * Car Sickness: No * Mastered commands: sit, paw, fighting, kiss, go in * She tends to rest during the day and play at night. * Jinhee is cautious around assertive approaches and dislikes loud or high-pitched sounds. **Health Status: scaling done, 7 teeth extracted

Story
Meet Emma🧡 * Interaction with people: Emma can be shy at first, but when you make eye contact or call her name, she gently wags her tail. Once she gets used to you, she allows pets and wags her tail. Emma likes people and has a special fondness for women. * Interaction with dogs: Isn’t particularly interested in other dogs. Is afraid of dogs that are bigger than her. * Interaction with cats: Wants to chase cats she sees on walks. * Separation Anxiety: No separation anxiety. * Potty training: She only goes potty outside. * Grooming: Tolerates bathing, brushing, toothbrushing, and nail clipping well. * Walks: She used to be scared of walks but she likes them now. She pulls a lot less using a collar rather than a harness. People approaching suddenly or loud noises, fast cars can scare her and she’ll freeze up. Also scared of the sound of heavy rain. * Car sickness: She does well in the car even for long trips if she's riding with someone she’s attached to. 💌Special Notes💌 * Emma is incredibly gentle and sweet. If you give her enough time and love, she’ll return it with just as much love and progress. * Emma mastered sit, paw, down, and bang. * She knows when it’s food time and sits at her designated spot to eat if you tell her to * Stays in the corner when taking the elevator and doesn’t get off until you tell her to!

Story
Hello, I am looking for a new home for my dog Pepper. She is a great dog. A few years ago I first met Pepper when I found her scared and running in the streets. After befriending her I put up posters in the neighborhood and posted online to find her family. Unfortunately, she did not have a collar or a chip and no one came looking for her. I was not planning on getting a dog but she was so nice and easy going that I decided to keep her for a little while. She never chewed on anything or got into trouble or even had any accidents in the house, which made it very easy to take care of her. She loves to use her nose and explore the outdoors and you can even see how curious she is around squirrels and some other wildlife. My best estimate is that she is around six years old. By the end of this month I will no longer be able to take care of her fully and I feel like Pepper would benefit from a good home where she can spend more time outdoors and around more people.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. LAYLA was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas and will be arriving at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 25th September.  We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue. We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page. Layla is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of June 2024 and on 20th September weighed 25 pounds.  We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.  She does need an active family who will ensure she gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that she needs to live a happy fulfilling life. LAYLA is available for an adoption fee of $550 Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. Link to the adoption application! Click here to watch a video of LAYLA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 2, 2024, 7:02 am

Story
We had Kai for about 2 years, my boyfriends sister couldn’t keep him anymore so we took him in but our landlord is selling the house we live in so we have to move and we are having trouble finding an apartment that will take us in with bigger dogs like Kai. He is 3 years old, I would like a home that has a fenced yard and lots of space for him to roam, or an owner that would be able to take him on long walks! Because he does require a lot of exercise so he gets all his energy out! He does tend to bark sometimes because he gets excited to see us, he does have separation anxiety so he howls and barks when we leave the house too but he is very sweet and smart! He loves plush squeaky toys and going in car rides with the windows open!

Story
Meet Jake Okie! Jake is a 10 month old Siberian husky and Australian Shepherd mix. He weighs about 23 pounds and will be much bigger when fully grown. He is good in a crate and great with other dogs. He came to us through the shelter and he was on his final day. He and his sister were very scared and nobody wanted to help them, so FWFP stepped in. He is doing much better in his foster home. At first, he only coward in the corner and now he’s going in and outside on his own. He will need a fenced in yard and a doggy friend or two. he will need lots of time and patience to help him with his confidence and know that he is safe! Interested in becoming a forever home for Jake Okie? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Jake Okie. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Jake Okie the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Meet Bada🩵 At the end of June 2022, Bada was admitted to the shelter with a fractured front leg. Bandaged in the hot weather, his wound attracted flies, and upon examination after rescue, his bones were misaligned, requiring a second surgery. Now, his bones have healed well, and he is happily running around without any issues. 😊 * Interaction with People : Bada is extremely fond of people. He's a sweetheart to humans, always greeting them with a big smile, which is so adorable. ❤ * Interaction with Dogs: He can be assertive towards dogs who play rough, so caution is needed. Tends to avoid encountering dogs with whom he had a clash at the Center. * Potty Training: He's been doing outdoor potty at the Center. * Hygiene: He's cooperative with ear cleaning and doesn't resist. However, he might whine when getting his nails trimmed as he's not used to it, so regular walks to grind his nails are necessary. * Walking: He follows people without pulling on the leash. Sometimes, he may resist going where he doesn't want to, but with leash training, he'll likely improve quickly. * Car Sickness: He's fine in the car and doesn't experience motion sickness at all! 💌Special Notes💌 * Separation anxiety and toilet training are still unknown as he's been living in a group at the center. * He rarely barks unnecessarily, but sometimes, he may bark alertly at external noises. He stops when called. * Bada enjoys being with people and receiving love while resting, so a place where he can receive undivided attention would be ideal. ☺️ He also enjoys his alone time when needed!

Story
Meet Rown🖤🤍 *Toward people: Loves people very very much! Although he experienced lots of accidents and has tragic memories about his past, he is a human-loving dog who shows lots and lots of love and affection! *Toward dogs: Is an energetic dog who loves playing with dog friends. Small dogs may be afraid of him sometimes due to his upbeat personality, but he can become a gentle dog by training him to control his excitement! *Separation anxiety: Unknown as he is staying at the center. *Potty training: Only outdoor potties at the center. *Hygiene: Has not experienced proper hygiene care yet as he is recovering/ getting treatments after his surgery, but he took hygiene-related care very well before surgery! ☺️ *Walking: Enjoys walking, but needs training as he may get hyper-excited. *Car-sickness: Rides cars very well without carsickness! 🖤Rescue Story🤍 Rown was rescued from the streets. He urgently needed surgery as he ate stones and screws. His legs were also injured probably due to the tough street environment, so he also had leg surgery and is currently recovering well. Rown is looking for a forever family that can give him lots of love and help make him healthy again! 🙏🏻 💌Special Notes💌 *Is undergoing rehabilitation after his ankle surgery, but has recovered a lot and walks well now! He may need to receive continuous rehabilitation therapy. Completed ankle fracture surgery

Story
Meet Bear! Bear is a big handsome boy who is very affectionate and gentle :D He was rescued from High-kill shelter that runs by city by our rescue team. Behaviours : Bear is a gentle and a lovely boy who loves people – He doesn’t have any aggressive behaviours or doesn’t bark often(He barks at breakfast and dinner because he wants to be fed as soon as possible). Even when his dog friends bother him a lot, he might express that he doesn't like it, but he wouldn't attack them. He is ok with bath and grooming, but teeth cleaning and ear cleaning aren't his favorite. Though- he won't bite you~ He is a gentle boy ;) He has a good walking manner, but he can't have long walk at the moment, because his hind legs gets uncomfortable (We're working on his diet to improve his hind leg issue). He is an adorable big boy who has gentle soul with so much love in him! He will ADORE you!! Allergy/health issues: He has no allregy issue. He is on diet and we're trying to get him more muscle around his knees, because of his hind legs. We hope losing weight will improve his hind legs :) *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog.
