Story
Athena is 3 years old. She is very loving and very energetic, the ideal home for athena would be with someone who is active and likes to go on a lot of walks or has a yard so she can exercise. We call her athena or mama and she responds to both. She is trained to potty outside and also on doggy pads. She knows a few commands but not many and will probably learn if the person who adopts her dedicates the time needed.

Story
Meet Parker! Parker is an adorable 3 month old, 15-lb Aussie mix who loves cuddling, playing with toys, and taking naps. He is a very curious little pup, eager to sniff around and explore all areas of his foster’s apartment. Parker eagerly wags his tail and moves towards his foster when she comes to pet him. He spends a lot of the day napping, but has bursts of playful energy throughout the day. Parker is fitting in very well as a NYC pup, one of his favorite toys is a bagel toy. He is still adjusting to the sounds of the city, but is improving his leash skills each day and growing more confident on walks through Brooklyn. He is also quiet for the most part, but will bark to communicate his needs. Parker is working on his house training and is doing great with a regular routine. He’s still learning about potty breaks outside but is starting to get the hang of it. Parker enjoys naps and playtime equally. He loves all types of toys and will happily entertain himself (or you!) for hours. He is also eager to receive lots of kisses, pets, and cuddles. If you are looking for a sweet, smart, loving pup, Parker could be the dog for you! Parker is currently being fostered in Brooklyn, NY. His adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
**Located in Korea** Rescue Story: Prince Hans is a remarkable dog with an even more remarkable story. Rescued from deplorable conditions at a gas station, he endured a life of neglect, tied up and surviving on coffee and food scraps. His life took a turn for the better when a compassionate resident, who had cared for him and another dog named Sleeping Beauty, stepped in to save them from an uncertain and bleak future. Physical Description: Prince Hans is a medium-sized mixed-breed dog with striking features. His coat is a handsome blend of caramel and white, with soulful brown eyes that speak volumes of his resilience and longing for a loving home. Personality: Energy Level: Prince Hans is a calm and gentle soul, scoring a 4 on the energy scale. He enjoys a leisurely pace and appreciates a peaceful environment. Barking: You'll hardly hear a peep from Prince Hans. He's a quiet and composed companion who prefers to listen and observe. Leash Manners: After three months of dedicated training, Prince Hans has transformed from a strong leash-puller into a well-behaved walker. He now strolls calmly by your side, making walks a pleasure for both of you. Appetite: Prince Hans has a hearty appetite and eagerly devours his meals. He's not a picky eater and enjoys a well-balanced diet. Bathing: While he may not particularly enjoy bath time, Prince Hans patiently stands still. He's a cooperative dog who understands that some things are part of the grooming routine. Treats and Walks: Prince Hans lights up when it's treat time or time for a leisurely walk. These are some of his favorite activities, and you'll see his excitement shine through during these moments. Otherwise, he's content to lounge quietly and relax. Training: Prince Hans already knows commands like "Sit" and "Stay," which is a testament to his intelligence and eagerness to please. He's a quick learner and is ready to embark on further training adventures with his new family. Ideal Home: Prince Hans would thrive in a calm and loving home where he can continue to heal from his past experiences. He's a perfect fit for individuals or families seeking a loyal and low-energy companion who appreciates the simple pleasures in life. He would do well in a home with a secure yard for leisurely strolls and playtime. Adoption Notes: Prince Hans has come a long way from the gas station where he was found. He's a survivor with a heart of gold, and all he's looking for now is a forever home filled with love, patience, and understanding. If you're ready to open your heart to this resilient and gentle soul, Prince Hans will reward you with unwavering loyalty and a lifetime of companionship. Adopt Prince Hans and give him the loving family he so deserves. ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs. Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States. ##1839561##

Story
Meet Brody, a 7 year old Aussie mix that is currently boarding in Lindenwold, NJ ! Brody is a handsome, outgoing mature mountain man! He loves car rides and is well behaved on vet visits. Brody loves to be outside! Brody is crate trained and could benefit from training reinforcement. Brody has shown some signs of resource guarding at his foster and could use training on management. Brody would like to be a lap dog, he loves men and is good with clippers. Brody will not be placed in a home with small children. Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. Story
STYX - 3 years, 56lbs, Heeler/Aussie Mix, Neutered  His Foster Parent Says: "Styx has been an amazing friend since the very first day that I picked him up. It’s hard to describe how much joy Styx has brought to my home. Styx is very friendly, curious, and energetic. He gets along with everyone that he meets, including other dogs (of all sizes), children, and adults. Styx has a lot of love to give, he wishes he can go with me every time that I leave the apartment. Styx is great companion and would be a good match for both a family and/or a single person. He likes to play with other dogs and behaves well at the local dog park. Styx has a sweet soul, and we must find him a loving home, with someone that can give him love and the life that he deserves." Cuddle bug level: Medium Potty trained: Yes Good with children: Yes for all ages Good with other dogs: Yes Good with other animals:  (he tries to chase birds; he has not been around other animalslike cats and rabbits during my supervision) Mouthy behavior: Low Leash manners: Getting the hang of it (sometimes pulls but responds to corrections) Okay in the city: Yes Jumping on people to say hi: learning not to do this, responds with correction  Separation anxiety: Nope - fine alone  Crate training: Yes  Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm negative; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake  How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee or St. Thomas. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. Story
MINERVA - 3 years, 30lbs, Aussie Mix, Spayed  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. Her Foster Says: "Minerva is a sweet, energetic pup who’s always ready for fun and adventure. Her alert nature makes her a loyal companion—she’ll happily stay by your side and observe everything you do! She’s getting the hang of playing fetch and seems to love rope toys the most. Best of all, she’s a big hugger who can never get enough cuddles. While she’s still working on leash training, her sensitive nature means she gets easily distracted on walks and can be a little nervous around city noises. However, she’s already shown how amazing she can be as a running buddy, making her a perfect companion for anyone who enjoys staying active." Level of dog ownership experience needed:INTERMEDIATE: This dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Energy level:MEDIUM: Needs a daily 60-90 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Cuddle Bug Level High- she gives big hugs whenever you're close by or stoop down to her eye level Potty TrainedYes- she's been great at only going to the bathroom outside, it's also been fairly easy getting her to find her spots outside Comfy with strangersYes- She floats towards whoever comes her way Comfortable with Children (ALWAYS requires adult supervision)Yes for 12 and up- haven't detected any signs of aggression towards kids but we haven't encountered many young kids/babies so far. Social with other dogsMostly - sometimes she growls at them(big or small) after a few minutes but not very consistent. Respectful of Other Animals Sort of - she has chased pigeons before Mouthy BehaviorMedium- she shows interest towards random objects to chew on but can be easily corrected. She still needs work on not being mouthy with human's hands and feet while playing. Leash Mannersworking on it - she pulls when she's scared of the loud noises, still needs lots of practice.  Okay in the citySort of - Spooked easily but she can take walks perfectly when we are in quieter areas.  Jumping on People to Say HiMedium - Only jumps on people she finds friendly with.  Separation AnxietyLow- she is good at being left alone while you are out, but might whine a little bit if she can't see you while sleeping.  Crate training Not at all - Not using one right now Medical statusHealthy as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm negative; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Pureto Rico & LA.
