Location: Anoka, MN Hello! My name is Evie. I was a mom coming into my foster home and had five puppies! They have all been adopted now, but I am still waiting for my forever home. My foster parents always tell me what a sweet girl I am. I am fully potty trained and love to spend as much time as I can outdoors! I love running and playing with all dogs, but am not a huge fan of cats and would prefer to chase them. I am a really good jumper and my foster parents are working with me because I love to jump and give kisses when I get excited. I also LOVE getting my belly scratched and rollover anytime an opportunity presents itself! My foster parents are also working with me on crate training. I am still not a huge fan of my crate, but if I am in a room with other doggie friends I do much better. I can also be a pretty good escape artist. I would do best in a home where I am not the only dog so I have someone to play with and someone to show me the ropes. I would also do best in a fenced in yard since I do enjoy chasing squirrels and bunnies. Location: Princeton, MN Hello there! I am Matilda my foster mama calls me "Tilda" I absolutely LOVE the kiddo and pups in my foster home they let me give all the kisses! The resident cat and I have an agreement that she does her thing, and I will do mine! I am 95% potty trained I had a couple accidents right when I moved to my foster home but with trips outside, I do know to do my business outside! I do sleep in my kennel at night and hang out in there while my foster mama works. I have kept my kennel clean when I am in there! I may have to tell you something right away but then I will take a nap! I know sit but am still working on stay (what can I say I love to tag along even if it is only a couple feet away). I am very codependent and love being next to my people, when outside I will stick by your side (I can get antsy with the local squirrels but will come back when called). I took a day to warm up to my foster daddio but now I love to get pets from him. Meet Allie, a 2019 edition of a party colored Australian Shepherd x Border Collie weighing in at 42 lbs. This beautiful gal came to NWMNAR because her previous owner had to leave abroad to help take care of in-laws and could not take Allie with. Allie loves going to obedience class and showing how smart she is. Allie needs an Aussie savy owner her can outsmart her. She is best with dogs the same size, she has prey drive towards rabbits and may not do well with cats or other smaller animals possibly including smaller tiny dogs. Allie takes time with strangers and will often back away barking. Allie has been scared of men with hats in the past. She can be a bit barky towards other dogs on walks, but has been learning to play nice. She can be dominant towards other dogs. Allie doesn't like plastic crates, but does just fine in wire crate. Allie must be crated in a vehicle otherwise she will run around in a vehicle pushing window switches until she gets out. Allie is best to go for a walk before a car ride to ensure she doesn't nervous defecate in the vehicle. Allie hies and sleeps under the bed to keep the monsters away. Allie does like to vocalize herself if she sees other dogs outside when she is peering out the windows. She has just started to play with toys and gets groomed twice a week with a brush. Her life has been primarily living in a crate or kennel and used solely for breeding. She is now looking for a furever home where she will never have to worry about breeding again. She is learning to live the good life, plays with other dogs, keeps her kennel run clean, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She is learning to trust and is a little shy but coming out of her shell and wants to be loved. She is learning how to walk on a leash and learn her basic skills. Meet Red Raven! Red Raven is a 2022 edition of a standard Australian Shepherd. She came into NWMNAR as an owner surrender as they had to move and where they were moving did not allow pets. Red Raven is a very intelligent dog, and will need a privacy fenced yard as she can clear a six foot chain link fence. This girl would probably excel in agility or be a great jogging partner. She does best with women, has been around children, but better suited for adults. Red Raven is very responsive, wicked smart, house and crate trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and ready to find her new home. Red Raven is available for adoption.
