💜 Come meet me at our Adoption Event at Spikes & Houles in Stillwater on Sunday, 1/11 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm! 💚 Age: Approximately 2 years old Weight: 45 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Older considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes ***Needs companion dog in home*** Seamus is a fun-loving, extremely smart, and affectionate guy who’s always up for an adventure! Whether you’re heading out for a hike, a car ride or just a walk around the neighborhood, he’ll be right there by your side. When it’s time to relax, he’s just as happy to snuggle up on the couch, rest his head on your lap & keep you company until you’re ready to get moving again. Seamus is unique in his focus on his humans. He looks to his fosters for cues, and has been extremely easy to train. He has a strong desire to please. That said, he also enjoys playing with his foster siblings (see video with the Newfoundland) and can entertain himself (see the other video for a demonstration of his ball skills)! Seamus didn’t have the easiest start in life, and was found in a field in Missouri, living independently. As a result, he is shy at first. In his foster home, he has thrived, returning many times over the love and affection he is given. If you think he might be the right fit for you, come meet him and let’s see! Adoption fee: $495.00

Age: Estimated DOB 10/28/24 Weight: 40 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, requires companion dog in the home Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes, on a schedule Crate trained: Working on it, but does well when left loose in the house **NEEDS A FENCED YARD AND ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME** Meet Bea! Bea is a sweet, smart girl who had a rough start in life but is learning so fast how wonderful it is to just be a dog. Each day she gains confidence, picks up new skills, and shows off her goofy, playful personality. She loves playing fetch, running around the yard, and happily herding her foster family during playtime. While Bea can take a little time to warm up to new people, once she feels comfortable her true goofball nature shines through. She’s well-behaved, eager to learn, and clearly very intelligent. Bea takes her cues from her foster sisters and has learned a lot by watching them, so she would do best in a home with an existing playful dog who can help her continue building confidence. Bonus: she does well with cats too! Bea is ready for a patient, loving forever family who will continue showing her how great life can be—and she’ll reward them with loyalty, laughs, and lots of fun along the way. Adoption Fee: $495

Story
Age: Approximately 3.5 years old Weight: 9 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Unknown Potty trained: Unknown Crate trained: Unknown Kylie is a shy, sweet, super submissive beautiful girl who was rescued from a commercial breeding operation, so she is quite fearful of new things. She does very well in a home with one person, likely female, and at least one dog to help her build confidence by teaching her how to dog. Her personality is goofy and playful and so silly, but she'll only bring that out when she's comfortable enough to do so. She needs a securely fenced in yard with preferably a small safe place to go outside for potty breaks throughout the day. She is good with potty training on a schedule, is quiet in a crate, but isn't ready for leash walking yet. The big world is a scary place for her. She really is the sweetest little thing and she doesn't have a mean bone in her body, but life hasn't been kind to her and she's just learning about what a normal dog is like. If you've got extra love in your heart to give, this is a girl that not only needs it but she will eventually give it back tenfold. If you think you might be the one to show Kylie how much love there is for her, please fill out an application to meet her. Adoption fee $625

Age: 3 years old Weight: 14 pounds Dog friendly: Yes, Requires one in home Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes, but adult -only home preferred Potty trained: Very close but still has accidents Crate trained: Yes, does well in a crate when left alone ** SECURE FENCED YARD AND ANOTHER CONFIDENT DOG IN THE HOME NEEDED** Hi, my name is Reyka, and I’ve had quite a journey to get here. I spent the first years of my life in a puppy mill with no kind human connection, so I’m still learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I’ve made tremendous progress in my foster home, including becoming potty trained with a routine, learning to walk on a leash, adapting quickly to household routines, and loving car rides. My foster parents call me an enigma in the best way - yes, I’m often nervous and unsure, but I’m also deeply curious, observant, and eager to learn. I’m looking for a forever family who can help me continue growing and figuring out who I am. Ideally, you have experience with shy dogs, but I’m also willing to teach you. I sleep in my kennel at night and when I’m home alone, so I’d like a home where someone is around often. Because I’ve spent my life living with other dogs and draw confidence from them, I do need a calm, supportive dog friend in my new home. I’ll also need a securely fenced yard; it gives me a safe, quiet space to go outside while I continue working through my fearfulness and flight risk tendencies. Most of all, I’m hoping to find my special person - someone patient, gentle, and willing to learn my cues and love me exactly as I am today. It’s hard to predict who I’ll become. I may never be a super cuddly lap dog, and that’s okay. I might prefer sitting a few feet away on the couch watching our favorite show, taking long, slow walks together, or following you around the house to see what you’re up to. If you’re looking for an incredibly smart, gentle, and brave soul, and you’re ready for a relationship built on trust, respect, and small victories, I would love to meet you. Adoption fee: $625

I play great with other dogs, love respectful kids, don’t mind cats, and would love a doggy sibling! I enjoy walks, backyard zoomies, cuddles, and relaxing with the TV or radio on. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $350.00 plus taxMeet Scout, an athletic, affectionate mix who’s equal parts running buddy and cuddle bug. He loves to stretch his legs with a good run or yard zoomies, then happily settle in your lap for snuggles. Scout is selective with unfamiliar dogs and not a dog park candidate. With structure and thoughtful an slow introductions, he can do great. At home, he’s easygoing and loving, but he’d do best in a child-free home where he can feel relaxed. He’s had training in the past and thrives with routine, exercise, and space to run. Goofy, loyal, and endlessly special—Scout is ready for the right family to love him just as he is.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. 🐾 Meet Brit 💖 📍 Age: 4 years ⚖️ Weight: 28 lbs 🐾 Breed: Border Collie 🐶 Dog Friendly: Yes, but doesn't want to live with one 🐱 Cat Friendly: Unknown 👶 Kid Friendly: Yes, but adult-only home preferred 🚽 Potty Trained: Yes, good on a schedule 🏠 Crate Trained: Does well being left loose in the house when left alone 🌳 Fenced Yard: Yes, physical fence required 🦴 Training: Leash trained, rides well in the car 🏡 Best Home Fit: only dog in the home, adults-only household, apartment-friendly, and great companion for seniors Brit is an easygoing, calm presence who’s ready to settle into a peaceful, loving home. After navigating life on her own, she’s learned to appreciate the simple things: a soft place to nap, some gentle attention, and a safe spot to lounge inside or out. She’ll greet you at the door with a wagging tail, but she’s not demanding—she comes to you when she wants affection and is content to snooze the day away. On walks, Brit is a dream. She stays right by your side at any pace and enjoys exploring the world calmly and confidently. She tolerates other dogs and does well with children, but her happiest life will be as the only pet in a quiet adult home. Brit recently had one eye removed after an unfortunate porcupine encounter, but she’s recovering beautifully and has shown zero aggression toward other animals while in care. 💵 Adoption Fee: $495
