Hi! My name is Rex and I am from Alabama. I'm just a little guy, but I have a big personality! I'm super sweet and goofy. I love to play with friends, both big and small and toys are the absolute best! Kids are great too because they love to play just as much as I do! Once I get my energy out, I like to snuggle in bed with my humans or in my cozy bed that's inside my kennel. Kennel training is still a work in progress but I'm working on it everyday and I understand it’s my safe place! Potty training is going great! I know potty is meant to be done outside and I give good cues to let my humans know when I need to go! I'm quite the smarty pants and have already learned sit! I can't wait to meet my forever family. Could that be you?!

Story
Hi! My name is Lexy and I am from Alabama. From her foster:Lexy is a loveable fun loving confident sweet puppy. She is only 8 weeks old and appears to have a good amount of energy. Given her breed of Austrailan Shepherd she will need a relatively active home where she gets daily walks and a basic training course for puppies would be beneficial. She would do well with training as she is very smart and listens to what you say. She loves everyone and does great with our dogs. She mostly likes chewing on her nylon bones and her kong with peanut butter. She will make a wonderful companion as she is very attentive to you and loving. Being a puppy she is all wiggles and chews and fun. She is doing well with housetraining. We pick her up take her out every few hours and she potties outside. She sleeps in her crate in the bedroom at night. Being a puppy she is going to need several potty breaks during the day. A few hours in the kennel would be fine but 8 hours would be too long for her at the moment. Not tested with cats but probably would do well she doe'sn t play or chase our small dog. Working on potty training but she is so smart within a few weeks and warmer weather we think she will be completely trained as she does her potty outside already whenever you take her out. But left she would still have an accident if you forget the signs she needs to potty.

Story
Hi! My name is Trixy and I am from Alabama. From her foster: Dear Interested Adopter, Trixy has been a delight in our home. She continues to make progress in her crate, leash, and potty outside training. Trixy is very much a shepherd breed mix as we work to discourage her nipping herding behavior and nurture her intelligence and energy with training, social enrichment, and daily exercise. She already is doing auto sits for her meals and treats, as well as, going into her crate before given a treat for bed time. Trixie has a calm, observant, and positive reaction when meeting new people including children and new dogs. Trixy will bark at times during exciting play with our resident dogs (1 medium- large size, 1 small size) and for a couple minutes before she settles in her crate (though as she progresses in crate training this is diminishing). Other than those few instances Trixy has been a quiet puppy. Due to Trixy's age her tendency to nip and puppy bite hands, ankles, and feet are due to both her teething and her breed. Continued patience and discouragement practices will help her grow out of this behavior as she ages. She will always have a herding instinct due to her breed. Trixy is very much an affectionate, energetic, and fun puppy. As Trixy's foster parents we believe She would flourish in a forever home dedicated to training her. Due to Trixy's breed; high energy and intelligence, it is important she has an owner who knows or has a willingness to learn through obedience classes, etc. to utilize Trixy's strengths so that she remains a balanced dog, continues her socialization, and progresses in her communication skills with humans. Additionally, Trixy enjoys other dogs but will need her dog siblings to be patient and playful with her as she continues to learn boundaries being that she is a playful and active puppy. Lastly, a forever home that is dedicated to exercising her may it be walks, bikejoring, hikes, or whatever outdoor activity the forever home enjoys that could include a puppy, that fulfills her exercise and social enrichment; would further promise a successful forever home for her and a happy well-behaved dog for the family.

Story
Luca is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd that we adopted as a puppy from a local breeder when he was about 8 weeks old. Luca has been a great companion, loving, loves to play fetch, listens well to commands, and is very protective of our family. Luca is very high energy and is very smart as well. Some of the challenges Luca has is he does have anxiety for a dog, and gets nervous around others, which will cause him to be protective, especially around his own territory (house). While he has not bit anyone in the past, he will go up and nip someone to get them to move, which is a natural trait for a shepherd dog, however, it does cause concern when we would have others over and would have to put him away just for concern that people that may not be use to dogs, will view that as aggressive. He is good with female dogs. We are looking to rehome Luca as we will be moving to a new area that doesn't allow pets, which we hope to find a good home for him where he can be active.

Half of her life has been spent waiting in rescue for her perfect match. Could that be you? Gemma Blu is the ultimate companion. She’s loving, playful, and incredibly eager to learn. Her foster family raves about how she respects the energy of other dogs—happy to play with those who want to, but just as content to relax if her furry friends need a break. Every foster and adopter who has met Gemma agrees: she would thrive in a home with another dog to be her best buddy!Gemma Blu is a sweet girl who loves everyone she meets. She does great with other dogs and even thinks feline friends are OK! Gemma would really love to have another dog in the home!  Gemma Blu is looking for a home that can keep up with her zest for life. She would do best with someone who’s home often, ready to engage her mind and body with plenty of activities. She’s a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dog who’s eager to be your new best friend. No 10 minute walks for this girl, she would love to go for a run with you, grab your running shoes. Special Request: Older, considerate kids are a better fit for Gemma’s energy level. Here’s what makes Gemma Blu shine: Dog-Friendly: Loves canine pals and is great at socializing. Cat-Approved: Curious but well-mannered around feline friends. Active & Energetic: A fenced yard is ideal, but daily walks, runs, or playtime will keep her happy. Smart & Food-Motivated: Eager to learn and thrives with training. She’s working on recall and leash manners—she pulls a little because she’s so excited to explore! Crate Trained & Potty Trained: She’s got the basics down, but she prefers not to feel excluded when crated.  Nature Enthusiast: Loves chasing squirrels and rabbits in the yard, adding a touch of adventure to her days. Don’t let her wait another day—Gemma Blu is ready to fill your life with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Are you ready to make her dreams come true? All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2102093##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Hello, my name is Benji! I am a very handsome young adult male Mini Aussiedoodle who doesn’t like a lot of commotion, but I love to cuddle, and I prefer women. Truth is, I am highly sensitive and reactive to ‘stranger danger’! That’s right, I react to people approaching the front door, coming into the house, and even people approaching my kennel. I know…it’s not something I’m proud of but I’m working on it…really, I am!! In fact, foster mom is trying to help me associate new people (strangers) with positive outcomes and I am confident that I will be successful in time but for now it is still a work in progress. In the meantime, mom sometimes puts a muzzle on me and although it doesn’t bother me at all I prefer, of course, not to wear it so my new family will need to commit to working with me on training. Muzzle training may make me look scary, but it allows me to safely meet and work on my training so I can be happy!  After all, consistency, patience, loving encouragement, and LOTS of mental and physical stimulation are the keys to my success!!! I am good with older kids, cats, and other dogs; and my favorite activities include going on my daily leashed walks or car rides; hiking; exploring; eating treats like plain Greek yogurt or pumpkin; playing with small squeaky toys and other dogs; chewing on Benebones; and running zoomies in the yard so the yard at my new home will need to be fenced! Hee, hee!! I also hope to have a small, confident doggie companion who might help me overcome some of my anxiety about strangers!!! By the way, I almost forgot to mention that I am a prodigy…no, really! I know everything from how to do my business outside to a deluge of commands like “sit”, “down”, “come”, “kennel/crate”, “wait”, “leave it”, “outside”, and “go potty”!! Thankfully, I enjoy learning, especially when I have a strong, confident, respectful leader, and I really love pleasing my people!! Anyway, foster mom says that I am the “most affectionate” dog she’s ever met and as hard as I try, I simply cannot disagree with her! Hee, hee!! All I need in my life now is YOU…a patient, unconditionally loving forever family who will not only NEVER give up on me but will commit to helping me overcome my fears!! I promise that not only am I totally worth it, but I will enrich your life in ways you could never imagine!!! Love, Benji Some of our dogs are obtained from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. Others have come from various situations where they are lacking confidence in humans. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs.   This dog has received grooming with us at Underdog Rescue, but was likely neglected of grooming attention until he came into our care.  It can sometimes take months to get their coat healthy as Doodle mixes require daily brushing.  Grooming appointments occur every 3 months and cost on average of $150 per appointment.  Adopters should be prepared for such expenses.  Underdog Rescue cannot guarantee the non-shedding or hypoallergenic qualities of this dog.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hey there, wonderful humans - ready for a handsome boy? I'm Kiwi, the pint-sized dynamo with a heart full of love and a zest for life. Let me give you the lowdown on the awesomeness that is me: Picture this – shades of brown and cream, one ear perpetually popped up, and eyes that tell stories – one blue and one brown. Yep, that's me, a young Mini Aussie turning heads wherever I go! Now, here's the thing – they say I'm a bit hard of hearing, but I've got my own language. I have a slight hearing loss due to being born with hydrocephalus.  We think I can hear deeper sounds, but not higher pitches. Silent hand claps for applause (and belly rubs, of course), gentle taps on the ribs for attention, and some cool hand signals like thumbs up for SIT and a wave for "come on down." I'm mastering the art of communication!  I am sometimes a bit unsteady on my feet and circle around when stimulated - that's some of my hydrocephalus showing.  But, there are no long term needs known at this time.  I might have some uniqueness, but it makes me special! Life's a classroom, and I'm here to soak it all in. I do require a fenced yard in my forever home AND need to be leashed in the yard until I understand when my people want me to come inside. My people said when we go on walks, it is best for me to be double leashed as I am skittish and a flight risk. She says “Safety First” before we go outside. When I meet new people, I am a little nervous and need some time to warm up. There are so many new things to see and sniff, I get a little overwhelmed. I am always excited to go home play with my toys. I have Crocky, Bunny, Mousey, Ropey and Bully – I like toys that are tuff so I can chew and chase with them. We recently started playing frisbee – I understand the chase part and we are working on the return part – hee hee! Hopefully my forever family will keep practicing with me. My people said that I am growing and learning so much – they are calling them “light bulb moments” because you can actually see it when I am excited and understand something new. They said I would be a good candidate to try out agility, fly ball or rat hunting because I am a high energy dog with an active mind. Did I mention my love for food? It's basically everything, and I'm open to culinary adventures! Except chicken, that sometime gives me tummy rumbles – ick. Also, sometimes I get crabby if there is another dog around at mealtime, I would suggest that meals are served in a kennel. My people have a puzzle food toy that I LOVE, foster mom says it is a great way to help me slow down and focus at mealtimes. We are also working on kennel training. So far, I prefer a wire kennel over a plastic kennel. And foster mom has been letting me sleep in the bed. Although I tend to get into things so she keeps me on a leash, even during sleepy time! Again, safety first! Potty training is a work in progress, my people said I am a whirling dervish when nature calls – hee hee. I definitely have a “signal” if you are paying attention! Typical of my breed, I would thrive in a home that will keep my mind and body active, give me a job and keep me busy. I think obedience school or agility training would be a fantastic way to bond and learn new things. My people said that I am very smart and started counter surfing and exploring into things I shouldn’t, kinda like a toddler (hee hee) so they provide supervision and things for me to do. I may be a tiny tot, but I've got a big heart and a spirit ready for adventures. If you're up for teaching, loving, and navigating life together, let's make it happen! I'm here, ready to become the most awesome dog you've ever known.  Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses.  Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.  Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    I’m new to this whole family atmosphere thing.  I’m still learning about all the things.  When I am not in my safe place (which may take me a little bit in my forever home) I am nervous and skittish.  But once I learn it’s a safe zone, I relax and let me sweet and loving nature come out. I’m still working hard at potty training, leash walking and the kennel.  I can tell you that I am NOT a kennel fan.  I’ll let you know all about it so probably best not to have shared walls.  I also need a fenced yard because I haven’t spent a lot of energy learning about leashes.  And I like playing with the resident dog.  Well, one of them because the senior dog here isn’t into playing.  I do need another dog in my forever home so I can learn to trust, get on a routine and a confident one to show me the ropes and play with.. I like playing with toys and stuffed animals when not playing with the other dog here.  There is even a cat who isn’t fond of me chasing it, but I think a dog savvy cat and a set of eyes on me, we could be friends. My foster mom wanted me to tell you how sweet and SUPER SMART I am.  But that I also have a fear about going outside. I am also afraid of most men. That’s where another confident dog could help me.  I’m getting better every day.  I have lots of puppy energy and am working on not getting into things.  If you are my person/family, I’d love to have you fill out an application and we can meet! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi! My name is Star, and I am a retired mama learning all things dog! Although my past is not fully known, we are focusing on my future and learning new experiences. I have several awesome dog foster siblings, and would love a dog in my future home to help me be confident! I absolutely LOVE every dog I have met. From puppies to older dogs, they make me feel safe and happy. I enjoy snoozing with them in the living room or playing inside and outside. I have been around several kittys, but I ignore them. Being a little nervous, I tend to run away from young kids, but I met do great with older ones. I am a little shy, but my foster family is introducing me to new things, and I have learned a lot so far. Being outside on sunny days with my foster dog siblings is my favorite! I love to run around, roll in the grass, and just take it all in. The leash is still a little scary to me, but I love the walks that come afterward! I am a very sweet girl that wants to be loved, and will love you back. Just please be patient with me until I get to know you, as I need some time to know that I am safe in new environments. Food and treats are a great way for me to feel the love and comfort! Once I know you, I love petting and snuggling. I have met multiple other dogs and humans. I am learning that others can be safe and do take treats from the new humans I meet. If everyone is in the living room, I will be hanging out with them. As a Mini Aussie, I love to follow my people around just to make sure I know where they are and what they are doing, but I am fine if left at home with my doggie friends too. My ideal furever family with understand my breed, have patience, doggie friends for me and a quieter home. I am a very special girl and cannot wait for the perfect family to love and trust! This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. Story
Welcome Mia to CCPAL Rescue. Mia is an 8-month-old Australian Shepherd/lab mix. She weighs about 40 pounds. She was found as a stray. She should be 50 pounds full grown as the biggest is our best estimate. She is friendly with other dogs off-leash. She has a beautiful medium length coat and stunning ice-blue eyes. She was found as a stray and is now in foster care here in Texas. Mia has a beautiful black and white coat. She has a nice soft coat and moderate shedding. She is good with all people and is very loving. She loves to play in the water and playing with sticks. She is a typical puppy. They are good at walking next to you in the yard. Mia would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She isn’t food assertive when eating and is not over the top wiggly. She is playful and outgoing. She is currently spayed, vaccinated, and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 if you have any questions. Please go to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com with questions as well. You can get an application online at www.ccpalrescue.org. Story
Hi! My name is Didi Pickles and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Miss Didi Pickles is the sweetest mama who loves everyone she meets. She has the prettiest eyes which is the first thing everyone notices. She loves to be by you so if you are looking for a buddy she is it! She is also very food and treat motivated and loves to please. She walks very well on her leash but she is very interested in squirrels. She is 100% potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside. She is kennel trained and once you lead her in she sits and waits patiently for her treat. She stays quiet and doesn't fuss once in there. Her favorite things are toys, bones, and looking out the window.

Story
Hi! My name is Tammy-Faye Pickles and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: “Faye- Faye” is what she is called most. She’s sure starting to love the Minnesota weather and is the best snuggler. Faye-Faye is super smart and very food motivated which makes training more breezy. She knows sit, lay down, and she just mastered shake! She is doing really well with recall too. She sits before being offered her food and when she needs her leash removed. She loves tummy rubs, her bones and finding the best branch to chew on. She also makes the cutest little snorting sound randomly and is getting better each day with potty training (consistent schedule) and crate training (with more daytime practice in the crate, she’s becoming much more comfortable, learning it’s a safe space to be alone). She sleeps through the night in her crate perfectly! Faye-Faye’s is working on her social skills in play time with our resident dog (A Great Dane). She’ll bark at him to play and I think it scares him 😜. She’s learning her manners with the little kids too, minimal puppy biting and jumping but does occasionally forget when she greets them first-thing in the morning as her excitement gets the best of her. With a “off” command, she listens. Faye-Faye was used to being with her mama and litter mates before entering our care,so I feel she’s often looking for that warm body to snuggle up with. It’s so cute, she’ll immerse herself in the sea of pillows on the couch if no one is available for a snuggle sesh. She’s getting good exposure to dogs, kids, adults, car-rides, walks in the woods, and occasionally a cat (whom she does get a bit too excited to see and chases). Faye-Faye is a lover with the cutest round puppy eyes!
