Because I am a soft and sensitive guy :) the SMARTER a dog is, the more SENSITIVE we are to stress and distress in unknown or overwhelming situations... So, I was shut down in the loud, never quiet pound environment :( However, in the last minutes before being taken back for euthanasia, a rescue foster met me and said, I WILL FOSTER!! AND THAT, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.... SAVED MY LIFE! Well, now my life is all kinds of fun. I have foster brothers and sisters and a human brother. I also have a BUNCH of toys that I love to collect all around me! Just like the herding dog I am :) My foster mom loves me so much, but absolutely cautions to my new family that food (or even the possibility of food) sends me into a protection mode with my foster siblings (not my human sibling, but we will not adopt him into a home with small children- or as we call them, walking TREATS) and until he either gets trained out of it, or he get nutritionally stable, no food with any other dog around. Meet Lady- Lady is a beautiful sweet girl with the softest fur coat! She is curious, shy, loyal and very loving. She likes meeting new people and dogs and is willing to socialize once she is comfortable Lady would do best in a home with another dog to continue to build her confidence, but would be okay as an only dog as long as someone is willing to work work her. Sweet Lady came from a hoarding type situation on a farm and is doing an amazing job adjusting to her new life. Lady is the SWEETEST! She is very smart, has great house manners and loves napping on the floor. Lady enjoys going on adventures and checking out the world and would be best in an environment without a lot of noise. She loves to be in the outdoors on our farm and walk about watching the chickens and other animals. She is very polite when you feed her and does not care for processed dog treats!!!
