Lou thrives on companionship and would be happiest in a home where he can stick close to his person—he’s a true Velcro dog who wants to be wherever you are. Lou is house trained and has a playful side, so he’ll need an active home to keep him physically and mentally engaged. While he adores his familiar people, he can be nervous meeting new faces and may take a little time to warm up. A quieter environment where he can feel safe and secure would be ideal for this sensitive soul. When it comes to other dogs, Lou prefers to keep his distance. He tends to get nervous and may try to herd them, so he’d do best as the only pet in the home. Lou has a good history with kids but would thrive in a home with older children who can respect his need for space as he settles in. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will shower you with affection and devotion, Lou is ready to meet you! Come on in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30-3:00! Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
