is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you)  To adopt or learn more about: , you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, visit our website: WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM ** PLEASE READ: If a dog/puppy is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. In some cases this dog may be pending an adoption already, and their profile has not been updated yet. Please note, SPR does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated otherwise. All breeds listed are educated best estimates by transferring shelter staff, our volunteers or our vets. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them the All American MUTT.  Our dogs are rescued from various situations (kill-shelters, owner surrenders, strays, etc). It is most likely that both their parents were strays and mixes of some sort. If you are interested in this dog, you MUST submit an application. Sandy Paws Rescue does not a have a public shelter in Mass, so there is no building you can visit without an appointment. Our dogs live in private foster homes or boarding kennels down south until adopted, or in some cases in our very small private kennel facility on Martha's Vineyard and foster care homes through out MV, Cape Cod and other parts of MA. A large majority of our dogs are adopted/spoken for prior to transport and release from state mandated isolation. To learn more about our rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of FAQ’s on our website at WWW.SANDYPAWSRESCUE.COM. **The FIRST step in adopting an animal from our rescue is to submit a completed adoption application. ##2253334##

He is very smart, eager to learn, and also gentle. He is trained to use hand signals, and already knows "sit" and "down".  He would love a family who will throw the ball for him and another canine sibling or regular opportunities to socialize with other dogs.Pepper Jack is good with dogs after a polite introduction to them. Once he meets a dog, he plays really well with them. He has ignored indoor cats and enjoys his visits with kids 5-17 so far. They all love him and the feeling is mutual!Pepper Jack is fully house and crate trained. He sleeps soundly in his crate overnight and happily enjoys a tasty treat when he is crated during the day. As he is deaf, he may alert with a bark, but only when he needs to tell his human something. He would likely do well as a WFH companion as he’s calm at home and content to relax during the day after playtime or a walk. He also walks well on a leash.Pepper Jack is a wonderful dog who deserves a loving family of his own. He will be missed greatly at his foster home and will make a fabulous companion! For more resources on adopting deaf dogs, please check out deafdogsrock.com and we’d be happy to answer any questions you might have! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org. I'm Marley, one of the females in an adorable group of Aussie/Collie mix puppies. We’re 13 weeks old and each weigh about 15 pounds. Although we were surrendered because we were an unwanted litter, we are typical puppies: happy-go-lucky, silly, and playful. We have been in a foster home with other dogs, cats, and children, and we got along with everyone! Like all young puppies, we will benefit from someone being home most of the time at first. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you.

Story
I’m Luna, a 1-year-old, 42-pound Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. I was surrendered by my owner down South and now am looking for my forever home. My Southern foster says I’m happy, curious, and playful. I get along with other dogs and don’t pay attention to cats. I love going for walks and am always excited to meet and get affection from humans! Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you with the next steps.

Story
Hi there! My name is Stella and I`m a super soft, sweet lady who is looking for a loving family for my fur-ever home. I came to Berkshire Humane Society with my sister when our previous owners could no longer care for us. In our previous home, we weren`t trained to walk on leash and didn`t have interaction with anyone other than the humans who owned us, so we have some learning to do! That said, we`ve both been consistently going potty outside and keeping our kennels clean! Since we`ve had limited socialization and we`re fearful of many things, including loud noises, walking through tight spaces, being grabbed at and sudden movements, a home with kids ages 10+ would be ideal for us. My sister and I prefer to go home separately, as when we lived in close quarters, we argued a bit and had a few scuffles. We`ve been successful with play dates here at the shelter. Overall, I`d benefit from a patient owner who is keen on helping me work on basic obedience skills and taking things slow. Some of my favorite things are snuggling with my humans, going for walks outside, playing in the fenced in pens and hanging out in the sunshine. If you think I could be a good fit for your family, please call the kennel at (413) 447-7878 ext.126 to speak with staff and learn more about how to meet me and hopefully take me home!Dogs: MaybeCats: UnknownKids: 10+Weight: 50 lbs.
