Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog-savvy catsGood with kids: YesCrate trained: MostlyHouse Trained: Yes  Trixie is a sweet, playful, affectionate pup who’s ready to give so much love to her humans! Lover of dogs, cats and kids, she would do well in nearly any home looking forward to welcoming a new pup. She is a medium-energy gal, where she loves a play session with other pups or toys but content with a bit of downtime. Trixie interacts well with dogs and would do well with or without a canine sibling. She has interacted well with dog-savvy cats down south so she’d do well with or without a feline sibling in the home. Because she loves to greet small and big humans alike, Trixie would do best with dog-savvy kids who can give her some time and space to get to know her after her initial excitement. She would thrive with some structure and boundaries in her new home as she adjusts to her new environment.Trixie is a smart girl who's eager to please. She is mostly crate trained and may protest the crate for a few minutes initially but quickly settles with the help of a tasty treat. She is crated for a few hours during the day and overnight. Trixie is fully house trained, but is still learning to cue so would do best when taken out on a consistent schedule. She is working on her leash manners and looks to her humans for encouragement in new environments.  Trixie will bring you tons of laughter and joy to your home- is she the one for you? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
Mini Australian Shepherd Looking for a Loving Home Meet our sweet Mini Aussie girl! She’s a loyal and affectionate companion who has been a loving member of our family, including our 10-year-old daughter. She thrives on quality time with her people—whether it's playing fetch, going for walks, or just being nearby. She’s incredibly smart and eager to please, picking up on verbal commands quickly and always ready to learn. Her ideal home would be one with patient, dog-savvy individuals who understand that she may need time and space to warm up to new people. She can be timid and anxious with strangers or visitors to the home. She can be ok around small dogs but tends to be reactive around medium and large dogs, so she would do best as the only dog. If you're looking for a loyal, trainable, and playful pup who's already had a loving start in life and just needs a calm and understanding forever home, she could be a match.

Story
Meet Henry – A Gentle Soul Ready for the Love He’s Never Known Just look at that face — the kind, hopeful eyes and the biggest, most joyful grin you’ve ever seen. That’s Henry, and he’s smiling because, at 6 years old, he just experienced his very first bath. A small thing to most dogs, but for Henry, it was a moment of love, care, and attention he had waited a lifetime to feel. It was his spa day — a celebration of a fresh start, of a life that’s finally turning a corner. Henry’s story begins back in 2019, when he was just a 6-week-old pup, full of wonder and trust. He was adopted by a family who, sadly, didn’t keep that promise of forever. He was soon discarded — left behind at a relative’s house where he lived largely ignored and forgotten. When asked if they wanted him back, the answer was chilling: “If I get him, I’ll just take him out in the field and shoot him.” But that wasn’t the end of Henry’s story. That was the beginning of his rescue. Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in, wrapping him in the care, safety, and dignity that he always deserved. And Henry? Despite the heartbreak, despite the neglect, he is still one of the sweetest, most forgiving, most loving dogs you could ever meet. His heart is big. His spirit is unbroken. And his tail still wags with hope. Henry is an Australian Shepherd mix, weighing 41 pounds — a perfect size for cuddling, road tripping, and everything in between. He’s wonderful with people, great with other dogs, and so eager to learn. He's still brushing up on house manners, but his intelligence and desire to please make him a joy to work with. He’s gentle, solid, and has a calm presence that brings peace wherever he goes. Henry has never truly had a family that saw him — not really. Not as the loyal, loving, tender-hearted companion he is. But that’s going to change. Because the right person, the right family, will see the treasure he is. They’ll see the gratitude in his eyes, the joy in his walk, the comfort in his quiet companionship. He’s ready to be your couch buddy, your walking pal, your faithful shadow. He’s the perfect age — past the puppy chaos, but with years of life and love still ahead. What he needs now is someone to show him that he’s home. For good. If you feel your heart pulling toward Henry — if you believe in second chances and forever love — please reach out. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask about Henry. Let’s write the next chapter of Henry’s story — one filled with laughter, security, adventure, and above all, love. He’s waited a long time. Now it’s his turn         PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 19, 2025, 1:16 pm

Story
This handsome boy is called Cooper and he is a young one year, 55 pound male Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix who is gorgeous and goofy.  This boy was formerly owned by a person who let him run loose (unsafe) and he was getting in to trouble on neighbors properties as he hung out at the chicken coop and he got in to trash cans just for fun.  Cooper just wanted to have something to do!  A job ya know?  He is such a loving boy and he really is good with other dogs and adores people.  He is not cat tested but can be if needed. As you can see he needs a little spiffing up with some groomer which will happen soon.  He is a deep rich mahogany color and has the softest, long wavy fur that just makes you want to sit and pet him for a while. Cooper with all his energy and desire to do things fun, needs a fenced yard and maybe just maybe you could offer him kids and another dog to occupy hours of fun and playtime.  He is smart as he is handsome.  Learning leash manners and he is willing to obey if you do the practice every day for a while.  This boy loves life and you will love Cooper.   If interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 27, 2025, 12:09 pm
