Aussie’s are incredibly smart dogs that are motivated to learn & please you. If you don’t have experience with this breed, we highly recommend you do your research before applying. Australian Shepherds need to have a job and if they don’t, they will quickly assign themselves one.From Sissy's foster mom: Sissy is a high-energy dog who would thrive in a home with at least one other dog or a highly-active owner who wants to walk her often. She loves going to the dog park and is very sociable. Having a fenced yard would be best since Sissy prefers to run around outside. She loves being brushed and loved on. She is house-broken and scratches at the door to go out. She is crate-trained and sleeps through the night. She is a very fun dog.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. She's helping her find a new home and asked the rescue to help. Precious is an older puppy, fill full of puppy fun and energy. She has settled into the Trainers facility quite quickly and everyone loves her. She's getting to know her. Right now, other dogs are great and children and cats still unknown. We'll have updates soon. Precious is bred to enjoy an active lifestyle and will be a great running or hiking partner. She's also bred to be very intelligent and would probably enjoy agility too. Eevee was hanging around behind a local equipment store for a while and was finally trapped and brought into the shelter. She is around 10 months old and is a sweet but shy girl. She will need someone that understands she will need to work on her confidence and may do well with another more confident dog in the home to show her the ropes. She did test positive for Lyme and Anaplasmosis but is currently receiving an antibiotic for these and doing well. Eevee would love to find out what a loving forever home is all about! Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator.
