Meet Sam, a sweet-as-sugar, 1-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd who weighs about 20 pounds. With her soft coat and soulful eyes, she’s the perfect blend of playful energy and snuggle buddy. Sam loves her backyard zoomies, often showing off her signature spinning and jumping moves like a seasoned pro. After her fun, she transforms into the ultimate lap dog, ready to snooze or simply enjoy your company. Whether it’s a quick walk, playtime with doggy pals, or lounging on the couch, she’s happiest by your side. Snack time is another favorite, and she’s a gentle treat-taker who’s always polite and grateful. Sam can be a little shy when meeting new people or pets, sometimes ducking her head as if unsure. But with a little patience (and maybe a treat), she quickly warms up into the friendly, playful, and loving pup her foster family adores. She’s met kids of all ages, other dogs, and even cats, and she’s charmed every single one. Nearly house-trained, Sam thrives with a regular routine. She sleeps quietly in her crate all night and uses gentle whines to let you know when she needs a potty break or a bit of attention. While she may feel a little anxious when left alone, she calms herself quickly and settles down like a champ. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
