Looking for a 2nd Dog? Monkey is an affectionate & playful puppy who would thrive in an environment where he can be near his hoomans as much as possible. Monkey is an absolute expert at cuddling & his foster mom says that he is responsible for some of the best naps of her life! He still has some learning to do as his former owner lacked dedication to training but he's *so close* to being the dream dog. Monkey does well with other dogs & has learned a lot from his foster siblings. He loves to wrestle with other dogs & has been corrected by other dogs & immediately backs off or corrects himself. He is not reactive in the slightest & handles all dog communication well. This mixed breed (your guess is as good as ours! We think Border Collie / Aussie / ? perhaps) pup can be a wild boy at times but his foster mom has worked diligently on his jumping & mouthing. He is a very gentle jumper - he wants to jump into your arms like a tiny puppy for cuddles. He hasn't lived with children before, therefore we are recommending kids 10+ who can listen to instructions on how to react to Monkey's jumping. Monkey is very trainable & is eager to please. His forever home will likely have no issue perfecting his skills with consistency. He does great in his crate & sleeps there most nights. He has done some trial runs being left uncrated for short amounts of time & has done really well. His future owner can continue that training to have him uncrated for longer periods of time. P.S. his foster mom is an excellent trainer & will meet with his approved adopter to show you her tricks! He is available to meet by appointment only as he's having too much fun at his foster mom's house!
