Story
Meet Remy! A lively four-and-a-half-year-old Australian Shepherd from Tuscaloosa, AL, who is a tricolor bundle of playfulness with boundless energy and an undeniable zest for life! This medium-sized, 60-pound girl lives for two things: attention and playtime! With a love for squeaking toys—especially her squeaky pig friends—and an obsession with a good game of fetch, Remy’s daily routine is an outdoor adventure in the making. While she’s perfectly content outdoors, Remy was once an indoor dog and would likely adjust back to indoor life with ease if that's what her new family envisions. She’s been known to make a lovely companion, often curling up in bed with you for a snuggle as the day winds down. When it comes to commands, this clever girl knows sit, lay down, shake, and stay—meaning she’s got some pretty impressive tricks up her paw! While Remy hasn’t undergone formal training, her friendly personality and attentiveness make her a joy to have by your side. She’s outgoing with people and always eager to make new doggy friends, though she’s a little uncertain around cats and may prefer a feline-free home. Remy is quite the active pup and can be a bit boisterous in her play, sometimes forgetting her size when she’s bounding around with her favorite humans. For that reason, she’d thrive best in a family with older children who can keep up with her energy and enthusiasm. She’s house-trained and handles short periods of alone time with no trouble, so her new family won’t need to worry about separation challenges. If you’re looking for a friendly, high-energy dog who will join in all your outdoor fun and shower you with love and companionship, Remy might just be your perfect match! Do you have a backyard calling out for a playful Aussie Shepherd or a spot on your couch where Remy could cozy up each night? Contact us today at adopt@joyfulpets.com to learn more about welcoming Remy into your life!

Story
Cinnamon is an amazing dog! He is incredibly loving, loyal, and has brought so much happiness to our lives. He is a very noble and intelligent dog, full of energy and curiosity. Cinnamon loves playing with other dogs and has a special bond with our kids. His friendly, gentle nature makes him the perfect companion for both adults and children. As an Australian Shepherd, he’s also very smart, quick to learn, and always eager to please. His playful personality and enthusiasm will fill any home with warmth and joy. Unfortunately, my husband has developed a severe allergy to his fur, which has significantly affected his lung capacity. For this reason, we are heartbroken to have to find him a new home. Cinnamon is a one-of-a-kind dog who we’ve loved dearly, and it’s incredibly difficult to let him go. We would love for Cinnamon to find a family who can give him the love and attention he deserves. He truly is a special dog, and he’ll make a loyal and loving friend to whoever adopts him.

Story
Marty is such a handsome fella. A strapping young lad, you might say! He's a young black and white short haired shepherd, just over a year old and around 55lbs. His facial features definitely show signs of bull terrier. He has pointed ears that shoot up or down to adorably portray his excitement and curiosity. He's a serious wiggle-butt. He's always in a great mood, happy-go-lucky with a playful and innocent young-dog demeanor. He loves exercise, whether it be playing with all of his dog friends (he's super dog friendly), going on a bike ride alongside you on a leash, or going for a walk/run. If you're looking for a dog to go on adventures with, he's your guy! He would do best in a home with an active family. A canine brother or sister would be a nice bonus, he loves to have someone to play with! He loves all humans and craves your attention. He has not been tested with cats, but he's a loving creature and would likely be OK with a feline companion in the home. After a decompression period away from the kennel environment he would likely do fine with kids in the home! Don't pass on the chance to meet this cute guy! He'll pull at your heart strings from the second you meet him. If you are interested in adopting you must be available and open to a home check, provide vet references (proof that you keep your other pets up to date on all shots, prevention meds and yearly wellness checks, and that other pets in home are neutered or spayed) The adoption fee for this dog is $250.PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET REQUIREMENTS!Apply at pawsfurrecovery.orgWe look forward to receiving your application and will process it within 3 days.If you meet requirements we will call you. Thanks for your interest in this amazing rescue dog!May 23, 2024, 12:04 am

Story
My name is Layla, and I'm a local Palm Beach girl who was rescued from Palm Beach AC when I was just a pup, barely starting out in this big, wide world. Since then, life has been a bit of a rollercoaster with a couple of adoption attempts that, sadly, didn't work out. But I'm a firm believer in the saying "third time's the charm," and I'm filled with hope that this time around, I'll find my forever human. I'm in search of a kind-hearted soul, who is patient and understanding, who'll take the time to get to know me and guide me. I've got so much love to give and I just love my human so much that I find it hard to share them with others-I want to keep you safe and be your devoted protector. With a little bit of time and patience, I'm eager to learn that the world is a friendly place and that there's enough love to go around for everyone (including me!).
