Story
Eli is a 6.5 year old Aussie who his people made the hard decision to surrender after he began nipping their toddler. They worked with trainers and don’t believe the behavior was intended to harm their child, but herding instead. Despite their best efforts, nothing was able to change his behavior. They reached out to us over a month ago and drove all the way from Georgia to find a rescue they believed would do right by him and keep him in a low-stress environment. We haven’t known Eli long but from what we have seen and have been told about him, he’s a super sweet and loving boy and should have no trouble finding a new forever home! As long as there are no small children, he’s the perfect dog! He’s crate trained, house trained, and has basic obedience. He’s very food motivated but due to his weight we recommend keeping extra snacks to a minimum. He’s friendly to all humans and good with smaller dogs. He’s good with bigger dogs too after a proper introduction, but he’s a bit fearful of them at first. Cats and other small animals a no-no though. He does need to lose some weight, but aside from that Eli is totally healthy and ready to be adopted! He’s microchipped, neutered, UTD on his vaccines, prevention, heartworm tested negative, and has a negative fecal test.

Despite that rough world, she is great with people, cats, other dogs. Walks great on lead, housebroken, and crate trained. She would do best with someone that has some Border experience. She loves to play ball, go for walks, rides in the car. Rachel is in immediate need of a furever home or a loving foster home!! Currently in the Orlando area, transport is available!!! Story
Tessa ❤️ This tiny girl is the absolute best companion. A few weeks ago, we saved Tessa from the county shelter and are SO glad that we did. She was understandably scared there, but opened right up at her foster home! ❤️ She is the most cuddly, affectionate, pint-sized best friend 👯‍♀️ Her foster parents said she needs “lots and lots and lots of cuddles” - can anyone give her that? ☺️ She’s great with both dogs and cats and needs a playful small to medium size dog in her forever home, along with a fenced yard. She didn’t know how to walk on a leash when we got her and is still practicing, so she needs a safe place to play 🐾 Tessa has a low maintenance coat, is just 19lbs and estimated at just 1.5 years old. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. She’s in Tampa, her adoption fee is $300 and she’s ready to go home for the holidays! 🎄 ❤️ www.love4pawsfl.org/adoption-process

Story
30 loves to lie in close proximity to people. She is indifferent to other pets. She does not like kids. She exhibits herding behavior. Our main reason for rehoming 30 is she has severe separation anxiety. 30 is fully house trained, however her separation anxiety leads to accidents in the house. With very odd hours and an extremely adventurous lifestyle, 30 often finds herself alone. We have attempted to get her animal companions, but we have found that she has no attachment to them. We would like to change this by finding her a good fit for her. 30 is 7 years old. Her name comes from her being a gift for my wife's 30th birthday. She understands and responds to most common commands.
