Story
Daisy is 11 years old and the sweetest lap dog. She listens well and knows simple commands. She is great with children, dogs, and cats but does have some food behavioral issues. We have had her since she was three months old and LOVES to play catch. We are forced to rehome her due to unforeseen moving. It is heartbreaking but we know the right home will help the wound.

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Leesburg, FL Meet Ripley! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs around 50 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Ripley is fearful of strangers! He is good with cats! He hasn’t been tested around younger children. No older children or dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Ripley hasn’t had much socialization and is scared of everything. He will need his next home to be with a patient adopter who can help with his training. He resource guards his kennel and almost nipped strangers who visited his old home. His previous owner recently passed away. The current owner is surrending him because they are trying to find a new home for him. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Ripley, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Ripley. Owner’s Contact Information: Kelli at kelli.jarman3@gmail.com.

Story
Dylan is looking for his forever home! We believe he is 9 yo and don’t know much about his past. He came to ASF thin, scared, and matted. Despite his past, he has flourished in his foster home. Dylan is a black tri that is about 35lbs and has limited vision in his left eye, it is not a blue eye. He is very tolerant and does well with brushing, ear cleaning, nail trimming, teeth brushing, taking medication, ect. He is scared of the noise clippers make. He is not a fan of most forms of water but enjoys playing in the rain. He is a very low energy pup. He will do best in a home with someone who is retired or works from home. He is crate trained. He does not enjoy car rides or leash walks as they stress him out. He struggles with separation anxiety, as many Aussies do, but he also gets stress related poops. He is best kenneled if leaving the house to avoid messes. Dylan is a very sweet pup that is learning to love the good life. He enjoys strolls around the yard, rolling in the grass, and taking a nap at foster mom’s feet. He gets the zoomies anytime foster mom comes back from the grocery store. He is okay with other dogs as long as they allow him his space. Because of his vision he gets nervous when other dogs are in his face. He also does well with other small animals as he is very gentle. He does not climb or jump so you don’t have to worry about him hopping up on the couch or bed, unless you put him there. He is food motivated and gets very excited for meals. He has picked up some tricks from his fellow housemates, like giving his paw for pets, and pressing some of the talking buttons. He is sometimes nervous around new people but is quickly appeased with treats and pets. Dylan is a nervous Nelly that has had a tough life but is a very sweet and gentle boy. He has the best Dobby ears and bleps anytime he falls asleep. If you are looking for a low energy Aussie , Dylan may be your man! He is neutered and up to date on shots. Here is the link to the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

Story
Meet Kali! This 7-year-old mini Australian Shepherd weighs approximately  20 lbs, and is ready to find a loving adopter who's ready to make her a new bff. Kali needs to be the only dog in the home. If interested, get ready for butt wiggles and kisses!  General Behavior: Kaliis a sweet Aussie who needs time to settle in to a new home. She is very cautious and shy at first, but once she realizes she’s okay, she loves to give kisses and wiggle her tiny tail whenever she sees you! Kali is a loving dog to her female human companion but she is initially wary of men (she will warm up to them eventually). Kali is a really wonderful pup who will thrive from patience and one-on-one time with her person/persons. Likes & Dislikes:Kali is an active gal who loves to run in the back yard and to roll in the grass - she requires a secure fenced yard for her time outdoors, where she loves to bask and play. Kali enjoys the pool, but she is new to swimming and would need constant supervision near pool-time, of course. Kali also loves treats and is given soft food as a treat - it's her favorite. Kali would prefer a female-only household, since she gives her trust much easier to women, any males visiting the home need to understand she may never be ready to approach them or be pet by them. She should not be forced to interact with men unless she initates contact. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body and goes to her safe space when feeling uncertain. With time, patience, kindess, space and love, she will warm up to men, but she is most comfortable with women in her circle. Training: Kali is housetrained when on a regular schedule and she is a very quiet girl who generally has good basic manners. She will walk on a leash but is terrified of anyone/dog/noise when out of the security of her fenced yard. She tolerates car rides. She is learning the wonder of toys, so be ready with ropes and plushies! She is very food motivated, so treats are always a win in her book. Medical: Kali is a healthy girl! She just needs her monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. Other Animals: Kali must be in a home where she is the only dog. She has lived with another dog in foster care but she is "dog selective" and sometimes gets jealous of another dog in the home getting close to her person, so being an only pet would be ideal. No felines for this girl, as she likes to chase them. Children: Kali needs a home without children and a lot of commotion. She is nervous with sudden movements or loud, unfamiliar noises and will hide if she's feeling overwhelmed. A quiet home with a laid-back lifestyle is what Kali is looking for and hoping to find. Maybe a retiree that's looking for a quiet, loving companion - Kali is your girl! Home: Kali's ideal home is a single family dwelling with a securely fenced yard. Strange noises scare her, so she needs space of her own without strangers or other animals intruding and startling her. She loves outdoor time to run, explore, sniff the fresh air and play.  Grooming: Kali will need regular grooming to maintain her beautiful Aussie coat, along with regular baths and nail cuts. She is ok with being gently picked up and she stays on the bathroom counter for grooming like a lady. Grooming for Kali should be considered in any new family's ongoing budget to make sure she stays on top of her spa days, keeping her looking and feeling good. Overall: Kali truly has so much love to give; she needs someone loving, patient and kind who will understand that time is the key to her precious heart.  Are you ready for someone who would love you with her whole heart? Kali would love to love you! To find the application to adopt, visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, had her teeth cleaned and she's spayed. The adoption donation for Kali has been reduced thanks to a generous grant from Kia and the Petfinder Foundation, and is $250. ##1546824##

Story
Gabby and Spice are bonded “sister and brother”. Gabby is an 8-year-old Blue Merle Australian Shepherd weighing 42 pounds and Spice is a 6-year-old long hair Chihuahua mix weighing 20 pounds. They were thrown out of their home when their owner moved and just left them. They lived outdoors for over a month ☹. The neighbor was feeding them and she reached out to us to take them. They are friendly, affectionate and pretty much stay to themselves. They are not fully house-trained yet so they do need a fenced-in yard. The original owner had a child so they probably are kid-friendly. They have not been cat-tested. The adoption donation for the pair is $500 which includes their spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip. They are waiting for their Forever Home so please come to meet them. https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p35/Gabby_%26_Spice.html We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida. We have a page on our website that explains our adoption process, and contains a link to our adoption application. Here is the link: https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/adoption-information.html

Story
He is really friendly, literally the best dog I have ever owned. He loves kids and making friends. He is smart, trained, and he listens. If you say no he will stop, if you say drop it he will drop it. He just needs a good home where he can be showered with the love he deserves. I have had him since he was 7 weeks old and I would never rehome him unless it was absolutely necessary. I just want the best for him. He is 4 years old.
